The Manansala and Yulo family attended mass here for the first time together to help with our faith and beliefs. We attended here several times for confession and after long shifts at careone at the highlands. I prayed for my patients and my father’s recovery and would sign the book for prayers for the sick. It’s a beautiful cathedral. My 3 year old daughter, Faith loved being part of a participative congregation. She loved listening to the music and was always excited to pretend to read, sit, stand and kneel to show her participation. We were listed for several sessions for pre Cana but.....I ask to end human trafficking in NJ and domestic violence.

Beautiful cathedral built in 1961, built in the Gothic Revival style with a Rose window at the front facade.Was chosen cathedral for the diocese of Metuchen in 1981.It is a beautiful and peaceful space to worship.I visited off hours, but would love to attend a mass and see how the community interacts with the building.Hope to visit again soon.

Our first time. Went for their Christmas program. It was wonderful. Four choirs were awesome, my favorite was when they all sang together. The hand bells, oh, my. All the instruments were a nice surprise.The creche was beautuful.Christmas trees with little lights.Of course, candles.Handicap accessible for wheelchair. Ask for details, ramp is inside so its not obvious. Friendly volunteers & several gentlemen assisted at the end with wheelchair. Also, front two pews are marked for handicap.They didnt rush us out as we went around after the concert to look at the beautiful statutes, stained glass windows, etc.Looking forward to returning next year.

Beautiful Church!

Beautiful Roman Catholic Church (cathedral) with a wonderful Parochial school; lovely teachers and administrators. Enjoyed the Ash Wednesday service. Two medium sized parking lots and some parking on the street. Free parking.

It is beautiful and the deacon was wonderful.

My Parish is Our Lady of Victories in Sayriville NJ, but when my work report time is tight I head over St. Francis dont want to disappoint God its always good to visit my old Parish. God is Great...

They have excellent Baptisms. They do need a better speaker system though.

If you feel down or feel the no ones love you, come over to God home and you see for your self the at sooner you step into the house of God you will feel good and in peace yes I recommend

Great parish in Metuchen. We have been parishioners since the mid 90s. Great choir on Sunday masses especially on the big holiday events. Daily mass at 12:10 PM is a plus and if you go across the street in the back the blessed sacrament is open early morning to 9PM. Pro tip, parking can get scarce for Sunday mass there is a residential nook right across the front of the Cathedral which is a good option if all the front and side parking spots are taken. And on special events arriving 30 min. Before mass time is recommended if you want to get a seat and parking inside. Lastly Saturday evening mass has an acoustic choir, which is a nice change of pace from time to time.

This is my cathedral. I live in another town, but officially transferred my home church location to St. Francis of Assisi because I appreciate the beauty of a classically constructed cathedral and also love Metuchen. Gorgeous architecture and traditional mass services satisfy my spiritual obligation: I look forward to attending Sunday services weekly and feel lucky to have such a beautiful place to worship close by.

The sermons are always worth listening to at the Cathedral. Nice Mass timings and good singers.

Just wonderful. Priests speal of the gospel, not politics. The choir here is extremely good. The Diocese of Metuchen makes positive stamps on society helping folks from all denominations of faith.

Very reminiscent of St. Pauls in Princeton, but a nice church none-the-less. Easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops downtown. Its a great way to tie in Mass, Confession, prayer into a night out.

They have a new priest and his sermon was about loving others

Every time I have to call this church (past 22 years) they are always so short and not friendly. When I call other churches I dont seem to have a problem and once I even asked them why St. Francis is like that and they just said I dont know why but our church isnt like that) I wish it was easy to switch!

St. Francis Cathedral is the church of the Bishop of Metuchen. Adoration chapel is conveniently located across Metuchen library. Its a go-to place to find yourself in quiet prayer after a busy day.
