I consistently have gone to Davids for about 4 years now and I always find everything Im looking for. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend anyone looking for art supplies to come here.

Always have more than anything you would need and first class help. Support your local businesses. Stay out of the big box stores and give money who are directly impacted. And it’s an awesome store so why not!?

Hands down the best art supply store in the area. Incredible selection, great service, and just the nicest people ever. Their prices on canvases cannot be beat. I have been going here for years and it just keeps getting better and better. I wont shop anywhere else.

I think David Art Center has literally any art supply you could ever want. The staff has always been knowledgeable and kind, and I’ve had fun perusing the aisles packed with art tools of any kind. For the amount of inventory they have, the store is remarkably well organized, and they carry everything! Literally!

Never again will i shop in this store during or after covid. These people wait at the locked door and block the entrance after they open it to spray your hands down with an unknown chemical before coming in. When you in the store they monitor you to make sure your mask does not slip from your nose. They even lock the doors behind you after you go in. If Im not mistaken I do believe that violates some kind of fire code that I should report. They are open like they want the business but definitely dont treat you like they want the business. There is no other store in Jefferson parish that even comes close to treating much needed customers this way. Shame!! I guess this is why they invented online shopping

Alright all the Crafters and artists looking for good quality supplies. This is your place. I went in looking for craft mediums I needed and they have it out the wazoo. Some of the materials I havent seen since college. The prices are very reasonable too.

Nice little art studio. Came to see about getting something framed. It was apparent to me the gentleman was not wanting to do it. Im not sure if it was because of the odd size or the subject of the piece, but I didnt want to leave it with him and his attitude. Everything else about the store was nice and there was a wide variety of art supplies. Parking lot was a nice size.

Went today to get some Smooth-On products and ask some questions about the mold-making process for an upcoming project. The store associate Karen was super knowledgeable and gave us so much information! We left feeling confident in our purchase and inspired to carry out our project. Thank you so much Karen!

The place is packed to the rafters and a little bewildering with all the products it has in stock, but it almost certainly has what artists, crafters, students, and professionals need. The location is a major improvement over their old one and offers plenty of space for the huge range of art supplies available.

It is a my happy place.The owners are so kind.Their staff really help you to find what exactly you want.It is a big stores. With a lot of products. Everything you need is there. Only one stop.And good prices.

I cant think of anything that you could possibly need for that next project that they dont carry here. I went in to get some pastels and an easel last week. Lots of stuff, mostly overpriced but selection is good. Dont find the owners very friendly and the lady in the brown bob was mediocre...kind of helpful but could have been nicer and more helpful. I dont like the overall atmosphere, and Ive been in a few times before So, theyve seen me before. Good, friendly, customer service is vital for repeat customers especially since you can get everything online now, which is what Ill do instead.

I was putting together genealogy tree info and the staff pointed me to their acid free boxes and photo albums which I never knew they sold. Im glad they have this its really come in handy for all this info Im now organizing.

This place is a must for my daughter. She loves to draw!!!

This is an incredibly well stocked art supply store. They have a huge collection of sometimes hard-to-find products (Worbla, for instance) and they have an amazing staff that is knowledgeable about their products. Often at chain stores the employees can point you to an aisle, but thats about it. Not true of Davids Art Store. The employees can tell you where to find what youre looking for, how to use it, variations of the product that can be used for different purposes, and oftentimes give you a mini tutorial is youre unsure. I highly recommend this place, a real gem.

I absolutely can not say enough great things about this store and their staff. I make a lot of costume pieces and props and can usually count on finding exactly what I need for my project at Davids. The staff is patient, friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They have been able to make recommendations that have saved me time and made my life so much easier. I highly recommend!!

I could always choose the inexpensive route and go to Michaels for my framing needs. However, the quality and service can here cannot be beat. I am always willing to pay the extra money for the excellent work and the finished product. I always ask for Fernando for my framing needs. He has excellent taste and always point me in the right direction.

I always suspect, but am never able to prove, that this art supply store started out as a restaurant. Its so clean, everything is arranged neatly, if crowded. Every other art supply store I have been in this good has been a rough mess, but not David. Also, you will note that its David, not Davids. This, I am certain, is due to the fact that this was a restaurant named after its owner, David Artsupply. Yes, David Artsupply Bistro served fantastic food but everyone was so confused by the name that they had to sell art supplies to make ends meet. Im sure that is what happened.Great art supply store.

Unfortunately i did not catch the names of these employees but i had a wonderful experience today! Upon arriving, I needed help finding specific items and the women who assisted me was so knowledge and helped me locate all the items very quickly. Even at checkout, the young gentleman was very nice, funny and talkative while ringing me up in a timely manner. He made sure I had all my discounts and reminded me avout their tax free weekend which was a great savings. I have not received excellent customer service like this in a long time and it was very refreshing!

Davids art center is amazing! All the people there are very profession and extremely helpful! Ive always gone there to get my art supplies for my school and when I hand them a list they can always find all the materials and they can explain to me the ones that I dont know how to use. They are amazing, helpful and super friendly. I would reccomend any artist or even someone just interested in art get their supplies here.

This place was lacking, and needlessly expensive.. There are places in downtown nola that are more reasonably priced, with a much better selection of products with much better quality, or just hit up Michaels or Hobbylobby.. Can you believe i spent almost $40 on their cheapest canvas pliers?!?!? CHEAP was right! They broke almost as soon as i removed them from its packaging.. This is not a place that cares much about artists and their needs.. This is for the hobbiest with money to burn.. At least they were nice.

The staff is always delightful, friendly, helpful, and polite. The prices are great and they have materials no one else does locally. I could get into a lot of financial trouble here if I wasnt supervised by friends, because Id want to buy everything! Haha! I love this place.

I have never been to David art, and not been able to purchase what I wanted. Not only is their inventory huge and diverse, but the staff meets you at the door and is eager to help. You certainly get what you pay for at Davids. Even though I could potentially get the same products online, the shopping experience at Davids is far more valuable. Professional artists are always on hand to answer questions not only about the products but on technique as well.

These people know their stuff. If you ever have any questions or need any help with most art mediums, theres always at least one person working who can point you in the right direction. The only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because its so far away from home--Id be ecstatic if there was a second location closer to the Kenner area.

Im not an artist, but I can tell you this place has a lot of art supplies. I was only looking for paint markers for a mechanic job I was doing. A staff member asked us as we walked in if we wanted help, then he took us right were we need to look. We were in an out quickly.

If you need supplies, for just about any hobby its there! It is pricey, so if you wanna buy local, and pay more than its a great place. Great staff, alot of stuff, killed my OCD, lol
