This has always been a very nice theater without any real bad seats. Unfortunately it is a dated structure with too small of a lobby, and they just arent getting top talent anymore. So as much as I have enjoyed coming here over the years, I definitely understand why it will be torn down soon.

I loved this theatre. Seating was comfortable and there wasnt a bad seat in it. The acoustics were nice. Ive seen many performances there. Unfortunately I was there last to see the Oak Ridge Boys last Christmas performance there which was also the final performance at the Star Plaza Theatre which was bittersweet.

Parking lot was a bit of a message due to construction, but still easy to get around due to marking & employees. Employees at the theatre itself were super friendly & helpful. Theatre was very clean & a great venue for a concert, as always. No bad seats. Great sound system. Just a great experience!

Clean enough and a nice place for a kids concert (Sesame Street Live). That said, I couldnt help but notice most bathrooms didnt have changing tables (in either the mens or the womens restrooms). Along with that, the memorabilia in the glass cases around the theater was dated to say the least. They looked like they hadnt been touched in decades. Thats probably an odd criticism, but it was odd having to explain to a toddler who Andrew Dice Clay was, and why his cigarettes are immortalized behind glass.I understand that probably most people wouldnt be going here for this type of concert, just my experience.

This is such a great venue for concerts. We saw The Moody Blues and they were fantastic! A few days later, we went and saw Englebert Humperdinck another great show and he was 80 years old! The seats all have a great view of the stage and the sound was awesome! The Star Plaza Theatre was destined for destruction, but we were so pleased that the management announced that this older theatre was saved from the chopping block and will remain as a great venue for NW IN.

Last play I attended was Momma ‘s Boy, it was not organized people were like cattle trying to get in and the lines to the bathroom were just as bad. We ended up leaving halfway through the play. It nice having the Star so close to my home and for many years we have enjoyed the entertainment but this last event was disappointing

Nice space for a concert, we saw Whitesnake here recently and it was great. The venue is comfortable and the sound was great. The venue is not huge but the well laid out and has a really good feel to it. The staff was also very nice and did not hassle anyone while enjoying the concert.

This is a nice-sized venue with a 1970s architecture feel to it. It hosts not only some moderately big-named acts, but local stuff like the NWI Symphony, which is really fun to see in a large theatre. Unfortunately, I heard that the Star Plaza will soon be closing its doors.

Its very strange seeing a rock show in theater seats. I like this venue for the most part, but I had 2 issues during my last visit: 1) We had paid extra for good seats, but many, many drunken patrons were allowed to stumble up to the front row and squeeze their way to the front row. Occasionally security would come down to the front and make 1 fan return to their original seat out of the 50 that were down there. 2) only a few of the bartender stations took credit cards, and even then the technology was about 10 years behind the times. Drinks were weak as well, at least the few I ordered.

Very unorganized venue. There was so many people standing at the front door pushing eachother it was clearly a fire hazard. There was no one outside instructing. There was people everywhere trying to get through the doors. Will call is in a very inconvenient location. Will call is at the front door as well. Large venue small washrooms with 4 stalls. There was no cones or anything to help organize the crowd to form a line. I have never seen a venue handle an event this way.

Totally sucked. Had seats in celebrity circle which were nice but the rude people in the first three rows wouldnt sit down thru the whole show. All for having any kind of concertration for others. Kenny Wayne Shepherd put on a great show but the people in the first three rows ruined it for other people, expecially for the people that were sitting in wheelchairs who dont have the ability to stand up.

It was my first time there last Saturday to see REO Speedwagon. I like that its a smaller venue than say, The United Center BUT......THE ACOUSTICS SUCKED! If I didnt know the words to the songs (& some I didnt), I wouldnt be able to decipher what they were singing. At a few points Kevin Cronin was talking to us and that?.....didnt understand a word he said! This place only holds 3400 people. Ive been to numerous concerts at the United Center (which holds 23,000+) and usually stuck in the nosebleed sections but their sound system is phenomenal....every word was sharp and clear. Now that theyre NOT going to demolish, perhaps they can sink some money into a new, better sound system.
