A very nice hike around the lake and to the peak. The view is beautiful, especially during the fall season. The signs are very clearly marked. Wear a good hiking shoes. The trail is marked as moderate. Some parts can be a little bit steep. The loop is about 2.6 miles. It took me one and half hour to finish it with some time taking pictures.

This is one of my favorite hikes in the state! It offers gorgeous vistas, tons of well maintained trails, a lovely reservoir and places to sit.

Short steep section leading to decent view of the area. Limited parking on nice weekends. Loop hike available and well marked. Overall we would recommend a visit!

2.1 mile moderately trafficked loop hiking, walking, running and snowshoeing trail with with very rewarding views and is rated as moderate and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Awesome views and great place to hike. At the top you can see Hartford and New Haven on a clear day. Also views of Hubbard Park, Sleeping Giant and Ragged Mountain in the distance.

Guiffrida Park, Chauncey Peak was amazing today oct 14, 2019. The photos speak for itself. Trails elevation is about 400 feet up. It took about 1.2 miles (+ or - if you go zig-zagging) if you take the shortcuts via steep trail straight up, you save time. Not too long of a trail to the top. Promise.

Beautiful trails and views! Highly recommend this hike. That made the trail up to the peak much easier for people who dont hike every day!

Really enjoyed the hike and the views, trails were a little confusing, best to ask someone who knows them.
