Applegate Skate Park

I really enjoyed this park. They have a big playground, swings, a mini theme park area with mini train. Beautiful open space with lots of trees. My only complaint would be the bathrooms. No soap offered only one working sink and not maintained very well. Overall it was a great place.

Tight park, flow is back and forth, most transitions are curved like a bowl, beginners will have a harder time dropping in. The bowl at the south end is tiny, coping around 3/4 of it, good for youngsters. The pyramid in the center makes very little sense and clogs up flow through the middle of the park. The eight stair is good for practice, the ledges are too short by 6 inches. Overall its a decent lil little park in a town that needs more skate opportunities.

Nice place to take family, Playground, trail, and tables to enjoy a meal.

The park is nice fun little zoo, kiddie land and nice landscaping to take a walk, wish the skatepark could be turned into an all wheels skatepark.

Playground was clean. A few people including ourselves wore masks as a precaution.

Very nice updated equipment!!! If only the bathrooms would get updates, trash picked up by people who put it there, and the bums werent sleeping on the ground, this would be a nice park. The zoo is looking good, kiddy land is still enjoyable for kids under 5. But again the bums are what bring this place down.

Nice place to skate, it is a very basic skate park. Couple of guys were using it earlier 09-06-2019, it got a bit warm (90°), so they left.

You could smoke blunts in peace.Just watch out for all the homeless

Its cool just dont like when people use drugs there.

The teens really take advantage of this place and however its not well taken care of. Graffiti and trash are all over the place and people dont really seem to mind this and the homeless population that lingers around the area. Sad really, were really not leading by example for our future generations.

Bring my grandkids here to have lots of fun

A nice skate park located in Applegate Park in Merced. I occasionally take my 8 year old grandson there to use his board or scooter. On this day (Christmas Eve) very few people were there. On some visits there are a few really nice people and on others it appears to be a pretty rough crowd.....ie. language and actions. A number beer cans were just thrown around.

Its a big park and there is access to a restroom. Thank you to the park for that. I will be returning.

The city has replaced the old playground with a new and better playground.

Even with the remodel this park is still falling by the wayside too many transits too many people walking around smoking cigarettes teenagers vaping homeless in transits freakling the park just really not feeling that safe with the little ones here.

As much as my kids like the new play area it seems like it is always dirty and that there is never any city workers around to clean it
