They have great plays here. The actors are always friendly and will give you an autograph if you ask them. Theyre great with that. The shows are fun and very entertaining to watch. The prices are cheap and a great deal

Such a great idea for children. my granddaughter took a three week class and loved it..about 70 adorable humans performed Willy Wonka Jr..this was so awesome

I have been to a few Playhouse Merced shows before, but I had the chance to see Frozen Jr. last night. It was absolutely wonderful, lively, and worth every minute to see such amazing kids doing what they love. The staff throughout the theater are very pleasant, helpful, and absolutely dedicated to making each show a great experience. Bravo!

I love this place! The atmosphere is always intimate. I love the productions put on by the groups. They give a chance for local kids to experience live theater and showcase their talent. This is not a New York Broadway theater but I am so grateful for Merced Playhouse in our little town!

If you love theatre, you NEED to go to this place. This place does not get the attention it deserves and its a shame too. The performances are breathtaking and I love everything about this place. You will not be disappointed if you watch a show. Everything is a blast to see.

Playhouse Merced is a local community theatre that produces and shows a number of plays, game shows, and other theatrical productions that always feature local actors and artists. It is a gem in downtown Merced that always provides a fun activity for all age groups.

Always a great experience at the Playhouse Merced. I have been 3 times now and its a real treat. The staff are great, the shows are good, and nothing is too expensive.

I had a great time there,but not because of the place, it was because of the event taking place and the people who organized it, which wasnt the playhouse. The place needs an upgrade.

We love our date nights at the playhouse. We havent seen a bad show. So much excitement and effort put in. The set design always looks fantastic. I always recommend a visit to friends and family

I go as often as I can. They put on some of the quirkier plays that I love and always have high quality casts. The Halloween shows are always cant miss! I love it here! Worth the long drive, every time.

Every time I attend a play or performance, I am amazed and so pleased with the level of acting, singing and dancing I see. Keep up the great work - and I know how much work it is. A labor of love for Merced and the communities surrounding us.

Not only is Playhouse Merced a local gem they compete on a state level in many categories. For the size of the location the set design is some of the best Ive seen from throughout the United States. Their choice of shows throughout the year really speaks to the directors understanding good Theatre. Their Halloween shows are some of the best Ive ever seen. Cant go wrong with this entertainment on a Friday or Saturday night at the prices you pay.

Such a cute little old theater, but the amazing thing is the quality of the performers and the productions they do here! We had so much fun and have seen a few shows, even though its a one-hour drive for us to get there and another one hour drive home afterward! Where they find so many good actors and people who can actually sing (on-key and with nice voices) is mind-boggling! Kudos to Playhouse Merced!

Ive been doing shows there for almost 8 years and currently in one. Love everyone there. The nicest people to work with and be around and very encouraging and positive vibes.

Clean, well-cooled space. (Its summer here; quite hot!) Just saw Sister Act, which was every bit as good as a production in LA or San Francisco. Only difference is, the theater is smaller. Wine and other drinks and snacks available. A very professionally run theater and I felt well taken care of as a patron.

Outstanding theater, we had a wonderful time! Incredibly talented actors and actresses! We saw Sister Act a few weeks back, felt like we were home in LA, very professional! We will be on our way from LA to see TITANIC this Friday August 24th for opening night! Cant wait!

This is a very nice Hometown venue. It is what you would expect from a small local Playhouse. Perhaps a bit better. The seats are comfortable and it is generally reserved seating. People are very friendly. And the snack bar has a better selection than most small playhouses. They offer a surprising number of plays each year. And the quality is really very good. People are super friendly and helpful. A wonderful place for any thespian.

For being historic and dark it, was very quaint and pleasing. Good building, with plenty of parking. The acoustic was good, young children talked and sang in the play they were performing, understood and heard their performance.

Amazing cast. My family and I had a great time

They need to update their sound system, and their set is very tacky. In a production they put two small boxes together and put a blanket over it and called it a bed. A couple of the actors were good and I notice that the same people attend as audience members and perform in their plays repeatedly as if they are low on resources and options. Not recommended to people familiar with performing arts, it was very cringy

Great local theatre with incredibly talented team of people. If you are looking for something a little different than a movie date, stop in PHM and watch one of their plays. If youre looking to get involved in a production this also a great place to start.

The play was awesome and enjoyed it very much. Our group went together.

I was suprised at how great the vocals are. The live orchestra is also very professional as well as the sets. You would think you were in the bay area!
