Had my wedding here last week! We had a rough start to the day as there was a miscommunication and they thought we were renting the property starting at 1pm, but we actually needed it starting at 11am. I of course was a stressed bride as this messed with my timeline. Wildwood was extremely apologetic & the events manager even came when it was her day off. They gave us 2 extra hours and it all worked out. They were extremely friendly and accommodating! Thank you so much, Wildwood! We had such a wonderful wedding day and Im so happy I celebrated my special day with you!
Its nice. Nothing to write home about. Small park. Sad old mansion, reminder of better days for some i guess, reminder that possessions are meaningless and can be torn down easier than they are built. I imagine at some point like many others this empty mansion will too be demolished because it will prove to be too expensive to maintain, its already starting to show some neglect maybe Im wrong and it will forever be treasured, restored to its prior splendor. But what do I know? Im just a guy that wanted to eat his takeout in a park and found this place.
Nice park, was not crowded, there were a few other visitors and all were enjoying themselves as were my daughter and I
Just walked the grounds/paths. There isnt a ton of acreage, but they make the most of it! A wonderful place to stroll around for an hour
This is a great place to just go and wander through the paths in the woods. Look for the fairy garden!
A long time ago, I was a young man who had a lot of trouble getting his life together. I had gotten caught up with the law and had a very hard time keeping my nose clean. I was sentenced to community service and was told that I would be working here. The first thing about this place is the old house built during the 1910s. Its a beautiful manner kept in a surprisingly good shape. The second thing are the people that work there. The manager overseeing me working my sentence was Mr. Nick Standering. A very kind man with a good head on his shoulders. These people didnt judge me or judge the actions I made to be serving community service there. They understood that I was having a very hard time and were very understanding. I owe all of them my upmost respect and gratitude. The 3rd thing is the surroundings and wildlife. Beautiful forest surrounds the back of an open yard with a very peaceful and delightful walkway through the woods. This was a great place for me to enjoy being outside and let me collect myself and my thoughts. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for a nice walk through the woods or just to get outside. They offer a lot of activities and hold weddings, a wonderful place to work and to visit.Thank you to the management for everything and all the advice and comfort you gave me.
My family and I have attended 2events, the Halloween, and Santa Workshop. We really enjoyed both events. I gave it 5 stars, but one complaint I have was at the Santas workshop. I loved the organization and all the activities at the event... However, they totally left the parents/adults out. They didnt provide any snacks or extra Cookies for the parents, they didnt even have water. I asked my assigned helper Elf for a bottle of water, and he can back empty handed, and said they didnt have any ️. Other than that my Son and Nephew had a blast at both events.
Had lunch with a member of Bridges Consumer Empowerment helping people and changing lives.....
We love coming here for little concerts in the summer, train exhibition on Christmas, and beautiful relaxing walks at any time of the year
This place is a great tribute to mentor and their cultural center. They have shows there they have plays there they have meetings there its a well-used area.
Great class, small quarters for class size, but still fun. Entry signage could be better.
This park is so great! The community garden is so beautiful and the culture center is pristine!! Definitely check it out on a nice sunny day.
Wildwood is a lovely experience..it is so much more than a place. There is a mysticAbout it..a step back in time. The class offerings are well done and time well spent.Seasonal events are wonderful. Go hiking the grounds if you wish. Come join in an have a special experience.
Only been a few times. Lots of strange private trails. Water from community garden for my dog to drink. Got bit by bugs bad on the face. Good parking
So beautiful and relaxing. Gazebo is nice for pictures. Very wooded and shady.
Was there for annual craft fair. Always quality crafts; friendly artisans in a beautiful setting.
I was married there back in 2004. Always a peaceful and calm place to be.
Lovely place to walk and enjoy a quiet place
The paths are well maintained, maybe muddy in rainy seasons though. I spend about 39 minutes with my dogs when we walk through the whole park
Great place
Love this beautiful park. They have public garden space u can rent for the summer so u can have ur own little plot of land to grow flowers and veggies. Awesome trails, easy to traverse. Landscaping around the mansion area is beautiful. They also have a fire pit.
Very pretty area. Trails are very pretty and lots of shade.
This place is gorgeous. Great wedding location.
I live right by Wildwood and its very nice to walk around and very clean
It was A very beautiful place I loved all of it.
Nice little park in which to read a book or just hang out.
Breathtaking lovely, outdoor and indoor facilities both.
I went here for my first time in late June for a wedding. The gorgeous Wildwood Cultural Center was rented out for the wedding. As far a parks go, this one seemed to be very well maintained. Litter was minimal. Fallen trees and branches on paths were minimal. The porta potty was probably the cleanest and most well stocked one I have even seen. The parking lot has plenty of spaces. Maps were plenty and easy to read. This park permits hiking, bicycles, dogs (on leashes) and cross country skiing. One feature that surprised me was that there is a nice open clearing with a firepit and movable picnic tables. The trails vary in material (sand, silt, mud, gravel and wooden bridges and boardwalks) and width. Some of the wider trails connect to the surrounding roads so you can easily enter the park on a bicycle without having to go through the main entrance/parking lot.The park paths are named after what you might see while on them. These are Frog, Bluebell, Buckeye Trails and Woodpecker Loop. I did see several frogs as well as a toad. I saw evidence of woodpecker. Several squirrels were spotted and deer tracks were everywhere. Bluebell Trail did have several wildflowers and mushrooms of varying sizes and shapes could be found all over the park (cant say if they are edible or not).Overall this was a great park and bigger than I first expected. I managed to walk most of the park in about an hour at 4500 steps. Some paths were muddy or just plain slick so I definitely recommend a good pair of boots. If I am ever in the area in the future I would visit here again.
Ive had three of my daughters graduation parties here. Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor seating
