Harley-Davidson Powertrain Operations

Back in 1986, I was working in Walworth WI as a certified pipe welder. One day when I had off, I took a drive to Milwaukee to take a tour of the Harley-Davidson Powertrain Operations, as I got a first hand view of the quality that goes into the number one American made motorcycle. The people were friendly and the tour guide was very informative, as to the different operations inside this manufacturing facility.

The staff here are awesome. We went on a tour for my sons 14th birthday and they went above and beyond to make sure he had a remarkable day. We couldnt have asked for anything better. My kids even said they felt like family while we were there. Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the best plant tours Ive ever been on. Ive been to the plants in York PA. and Tomahawk WI. but this was by far the best. Our guide (Peanut) was very knowledgeable about the different parts and why they were designed a certain way. She also was able to explain the terminology to someone who has a very basic knowledge of bikes. The tour took us around the plant and showed most steps of the assembly process. The tour is a must if youre in the area!

What a great place

Product is job one, no product no company, no company no jobs! There are always innocent victims in war, no matter what side you are on. Company vs Union or Union vs Company. I just came to make motorcycles now I am physically sick from all the stress. 53 miles I drive to work daily, 53 more to go home! Has to be a Better Way!

Tight docks are inside the building. Go thru the roll door, there gonna be a regular docks . Tight enough for 53’ trailer and long wheelsbase, if trucks were park on a both sides.

One of the worst receiving departments, I just dread going there. The guy refused to sign my paperwork because he was on break. So I had to wait 45 min for a signature. He didnt even get off the forklift. If I had the choice I wouldnt ship here or pick up. Its not just once, its every time its a bad experience.

I take pride in making the heart and soul of our bikes the engines, its a neat feeling seeing someone ride along side of me on a bike I built. Hoping to buy my first harley soon!

Great facility...But GoogleMaps fails yet again!Took me half an hour to find the actual facility!The actual place is located on pilgrim rd. Just east of HWY 45.Google needs to update their locations and navigational apps/ equipment...
