I had a birthday party for my 3yr old step daughter. We had a great time. My bf grilled and there was a nice young man that DJ music got us. We had an awesome experience and plan to come back for more fun. I hope the water park area will b open next time for the kids.

A hidden gem! This park is great and very empty most of the time.

Today, Aug 10, 2019 marked the Grand opening of the Blue Cross Healthy Place at David Carnes Park in the heart of Whitehaven on Whitehaven Lane. What a magnificent addition to the Whitehaven community. The park is simply phenomenal! Its filled with everything from exercise and gym equipment for all ages, to an outdoor splash park, to a mini football and soccer training ground, to a walking trail, track and field area, community pavilion, and on-site restroom facilities. Every aspect of the park is breathtaking. As a Whitehaven resident, we are so very thankful to Blue Cross for sponsoring the park. Kudos to our Whitehaven District 3 Council woman Patrice Robinson for her tireless work in the Whitehaven community and thanks to Mayor Strickland and the entire city council for approving the Blue Cross Healthy Place project in Whitehaven. We value the work and efforts of all the people who worked to bring this project to completion. I pledge to do my part to keep our park as beautiful tomorrow as it is today! 5 STARS *****

Many things to do for all of the family. Of all ages. An adult area, an area where you can sit down and eat, a play area for the kids and even a sprinkle area to cool off if its hot. Also included is a 40-yd dash area where you can run, an obstacle course area, and a place to play soccer. All around great environment.

Oh I really enjoyed myself and my grandchildren did also I havent been on a manual merry-go-round in 50 years oh and a see-saw great we laughed go check it out before with tee set in

This park is awesome! It is equipped with 2 large play areas, and everything is constructed to exercise every part of your body including your mind. My grandchildren and I felt as if we were exploring while we played. The park even included a track Lane equipped with a timer to track your speed upon finish. This park is an excellent, well thought-out project.

Beautiful walking park with tons of outdoor work out amenities.

Great place to walk...but we must do a better job cleaning up behind ourselves & our kids.lets be proud of the park Blue cross provided us with..thanks again blue cross...

Its a great place, this man were over there today with his dog. Watching the ladies.

Beautiful, comfortable, and safe. I wasnt able to use any of the free exercise equipment, due to covid-19. But the track and scenery was great. This will be my 1st choice from now on when it comes to an outdoor track.

Brand new park located in BlackHaven. Extremely family-friendly. Parents FYI all are welcome, but lets besure that our child/children has been probably disciplined, and at their best behavior. So that everyone can be happy and enjoy this very beautiful park.

Its a playground and a little water park at the same time! It has sprinklers and a large water fall designed thing. Its really nice! It has a big playground and a small one too. The park also has a workout part to it to so if youre athletic its great place to run, walk or practice. Also, on the small playground it has swings built for baby and parents to ride together instead of them by themselves. I love it! Great investment for the community!

The park looks so much better than it did in the pass. Im glad someone finally invested resources in our community. The kids need a place to play that is safe and clean. I hope everyone will ban together to ensure it stays clean and safe.

Great park for entire family. Everything is family orienated. Theres a place for the kids to exercise and play. Water park. Great walking trail. Obstacle course training for the adults. Ball park area. Track. Exercise equipment for strengthening and balance.

I love the park because I walk there for my health but some of the parents are not watching their children and are littering the park.

Blue Cross Blue Shield out done themselves! This park is truly enjoyable for the entire family. The only bad thing is it is so awesome everyone wants to enjoy this park in particular its the nicest park for miles . People are coming all the way across town to spend the day here with there kids and its well worth the trip. Its very crowded but still a lot of fun. What it shows is that there need to be more nice parks in under served areas through out Memphis....It is so nice watching kids of all ages enjoying there childhood we should be able to offer this to our children all across the city not just in Germantown!

I gave a four because its aallwwaayyysss so many people but on the playground its self it deserves a 5 star.

Havent went up there in a while so i was surprised to see all the new equipment. It was a very pleasant surprise! I usually take the kids to Shelby farms or Riverside but they love the new setup there, so needless to say well be going there from now on. Physe its waaaay closer️

Different playing stations for different ages. Great idea. The water wasnt on in the water playground this morning though. Dont know if its on at different times or days.

Amazing facility for the kids to enjoy!

This park is wonderful!!! It has everything! Sprinkler water park, swings and slides for every age group, walking course, several areas to cookout and have a gathering, it even has a entire relay race course! Along with a football field and a track and field with a timer, I can say I have never seen a park that has all of these things!!!

This park is absolutely fabulous. There are so many different playground areas. There are areas arranged by age also. Theres a water sprinkler area for the kids. There is a walking trail, workout stations, an area for football or soccer, and a cookout area.

Perfect place for ANYBODY, not only families, kids AND adults will love this park, it has PLENTY enjoyable things for both kids & adults, I like the fact that the bathrooms arent portables (nice & spacious) 2 gazebos for picnics, kid parties / outings, the tennis court is amazing, i dont know who liked it the most, myself or my kids, I mean I ABSOLUTE LOVE IT
