Food was so delish. This place has a good atmosphere. Food is like a restaurant in Louisville I liked.

Its a pretty decent at a fair price. The service is shaky at times. The staff that works here are very friendly and will bend over backwards to help you out, and they always have a smile on their faces.

Cool spot! I stay in medical district so its close to home. It stays open pretty late which is a plus for us night owls. Owner Rob is really cool. Ive only been twice and he remembered my drink! Sold!

I used to live in midtown and I wish this place had been here when I lived here. Kind of had the dive bar feel, but clay at the same time. A paradox if you must. Chill, beautiful, amicable, and affordable. If you want a place to enjoy outstanding food, best drink prices in midtown, amazing customer service, good mixed drinks, and a decent wine selection then this is your place. I cant say enough great things about this place. I highly recommend this place.

Ive always heard the name canvas but never took a chance to visit. I figured it was like any other bar. This place is such a unique experience. There is art plastered all over the place, good music, killer service... it feels really intimate but isnt boring.

Bartender MADE that drink DYHM! He was attentive to all customers, the jokes were funny and the host Judea was awesome. Definitely will be a regular after tonight.

Dont come here if you are a DD the white bartender known as Robert drinks on the job and will charge you 2 dollars for a water from the tap, even though you had spent money on drinks for friends. Will not be coming back ever again!

This is THE SPOT! Located in Midtown Memphis - which is the art district - this is a funky, eclectic bar that is a must-visit. It’s a cozy spot covered with visual stimulations everywhere you turn, an outside pool table area, an amazing bartender (Chad), a resident pup (Stella), and a great owner (Rob). You could show up and a live jazz band is playing Black Sabbath or show up and walk into an Open Mic session. Great Bar, Great People!

I come here for Arcana. The place is great. Staff are nice, the owner is great. Drinks are great. Theres a meme on the wall saying when you havent told anyone you know the owner in 8 minutes. And you may have heard some... accusations... about the owner, they are false. :)

Canvas is amazing! I love the bar, it has paintings and art on every wall. My favorite is this gorgeous Daenerys blacklight painting. The music always makes people dance, Ive heard house, hip-hop, and different djs. I cant wait to hear more. And the patio is super spacious with lots of seating, a pool table,as well as other games. Altogether a good time!

My wife and I went for a good time at Canvas and we sat down at the bar. An EMPLOYEE came from smoking a cigarette outside and told us that that was their seat and that we needed to move. My wife said that we are PAYING CUSTOMERS and that she did not want to move. The EMPLOYEE proceeded to take my wifes drink that we payed for a dump it on her. We wont let it ruin our night but I certainly would NEVER recommend this place.

I was here for a trivia night and it was a good venue for that. There are only about 5 tables inside but they do have an outdoor patio area. The bartender took care of everyone and the walls were covered in all kinds of homegrown artwork. Pretty neat place to go to for a drink!

Robert Coletta, the owner of Canvas, assaulted a black woman AT THIS LOCATION and is trying to coddle and beg his way out of trouble. That alone is a red flag and automatically sheds a lot of light on what kind of business is being ran. Robert also enjoys dressing in black face and there is proof of such acts. Robert and his establishment cannot be trusted. Please do not support Robert or Canvas, your money is best spent someplace else.

If you are artistic or like arts it offers a great atmosphere. It also offers a varied crud during the week and weekend.
