Seize the clay is a great place to go by yourself, with a friend or as a group. Ive had 3 birthday get togethers there. The staff is very nice and helpful. You pick your piece from a large selection of pottery, pick your paints and sit and paint your piece. Ive been several times with friends and we have a blast painting and talking. Kids would enjoy it too. Youve got to give it a try.

We had a great time on date night. We brought a bottle of wine and made a few pieces. Its a great way to start or end a date!

Seize the Clay is, by far, the best studio in the city. It balances aspects of kid-friendly along with fun adult outing. There are so many different creative outlets in one studio, I’ve had the chance to work with bisque, glass fusion, canvas painting, and throwing pottery! I truly love every experience I have. Definitely check this place out! A gem of Memphis!

Love Seize the Clay! They always have the most fun stuff to paint for the holidays. And if you want they will custom paint a piece for you, they did a custom pumpkin for us last year for Halloween that is too cute! Great service, staff and store!

Have visited Seize the Clay numerous times. Granddaughter & I made two pottery pieces. It was a fun activity. Granddaughter attended the half day camp which she enjoyed. I truly enjoy painting the pottery. Wish there was a larger pottery selection. The owner, Adam, is nice & helpful.

Absolutely LOVE Seize the Clay. I have been painting at this studio for over a decade ( started coming when I was in college at the U of M) Seize the Clay offers something for everyone. If you want some fun time out with your girlfriends bring some wine on Friday and let the creating begin. Need a new date night idea with your significant other? Have kiddos and need some handprints? check, check and check to all three! I have created so many memories here I will have for a lifetime not to mention some keep sakes from those girls night outs, home décor from date nights, and many creations from my kiddos that I will cherish forever.

Seize the Clay is the rare place in Memphis where you can go with your children, or go with a group of adults, and have an equally great experience either time!! It’s the first place I think of to go, whether for a hang out, spending time with my kids, or looking for a special gift - a true Memphis gem!!

Our familys favorite place to paint pottery, create mosaic pieces and have birthdays. Recently had our youngest daughters bday party here and could not have been more pleased. Excellent selection of pieces to paint, friendly staff that was excellent with our kids. My kids love going to paint and always have the best time. Will definitely recommend to all of my friends and family!!

This studio is the worst in Memphis. I was not greeted by any staff and stood at the front for 5 minutes until someone helped my children and me. The staff was extremely unhelpful and would not answer any questions. Then when I had to come back to the studio to pick up our pottery, it was nowhere to be found and I stood at the counter for 20 MINUTES while they looked for our things. After they finally found them for us we got home to realize that one of the pieces was broken. This is UNACCEPTABLE! We will not be returning. There are far better studios that offer the same services around Memphis.

The staff are helpful and friendly. Friday nights are their wine and cheese nights and the atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing, a perfect place to unwind at the end of the week. They do birthday parties and bachelorette parties. I went there on a date and it was pretty fun. We spent a couple hours there but if youre working on a larger piece you can come back multiple times to finish and you only have to pay one studio fee. Ill definitely be back!
