Always good to get back into a routine. Much has changed but still a good thing to get moving. Personnel always friendly. Different now w/less people.
Great place for the entire family. Happy to be a member.
Great place to go and chill in the pool for hours on end
Friendly staff, physical therapy staff is great.
The facility is clean and well-maintained by plenty of staff - who are friendly and willing to assist you if you need it. Theyre doing a great job making sure the community still has a place to work out, even under the extenuating circumstances caused by the pandemic.
Love it here. I come for my physical therapy now. I love how they have different areas and pools for everyone. My son loves the whirl pool and slide. I love the lap pool.
This place has nice equipment and facilities. The place has huge industrial sized fans that blow in your face. All due to the fact that a few elderly people didnt want to sweat. HELLO....ITS A GYM!!!When myself and other patrons complained of this, the condescending director acted like he could care less and advised its not going to change. Studies have shown that having this much air being blown in your face during a workout is bad.Members of staff have said that this is a huge complaint and that the director is not a very nice guy. When asked and confronted about this issue, he advised I can cancel my membership and go elsewhere. This guy does not need to be in that position, but rather scrubbing toilets. If you like to sweat and freeze at the same time, go there. If you like to walk at a snails pace on a treadmill and refuse to sweat, go here.
Our rec is one of the best ones I’ve been to, we only go for swimming with our kids to let off some pent up energy but there are plenty of other fantastic things to do workout wise. The staff is friendly and helpful it’s just a great place to check out!
I just wanted to speak out that I am canceling a 2 year membership going to a new gym.. the main reason is the staff is always angry/unhappy I do not recommend this place because the staff is lazy mainly the front desk people...
Great place for anyone looking to workout, their pool and gyms are phenomenal.
The rec center is a great self-care place. It has everything you need. New equipment, no wait lines. Group classes. Childcare room, that kids want to be in. Hot tub and lap pool. Heated pool with a big slide. Sauna in the locker rooms.(no coed). Walking or running track upstairs. They have fun events like Dive In movies. You can pay by the month, or get a guest pass of 5 visits for $25 or 10 for $50. If you decide to join( within 2 months) the guest pass gets credited to your membership!!
First rate city rec center. Nice facilities. Clean & well maintained. Pleasant helpful staff. Lots of parking. Popular venue, can be quite busy if not congested during peak hours. Personal trainer services and group classes available at extra cost, must be scheduled thru front desk.
I have been going here specifically for swim lessons for my daughters. Ive only had 1 poor experience with a teacher in 4 years. If youre able to take lessons with Miss Karen, she is amazing!
Our realestate taxes were raised to build this for a private company to charge us $400+/year to use. The hot tub is filthy with 3 inches of scum floating on top. Scam.
Great place to go for family. We enjoyed our time spent there at a birthday party for my daughters friend. Everyone was super helpful and my daughter had a great time. Only thing I would recommend is having a bathroom separate from the locker rooms attached to the pool area. they have a lot of amenities that can be helpful to many different types of people depending on what youre looking for.
My grandson and I had a blast swimming at the rec center.
This place has everything you need to get into shape and feel better no matter what your age or your size or anything else. And they have such a large selection that I go there to work out and I never get bored. And a pool is awesome
Not very nice.
This is a great facility, but equally important is the quality of the staff. Jessica Hine, trainer for several Silver Sneakers exercise classes and yoga classes, is absolutely superb!I self pay, since my insurance does not cover Silver Sneakers classes, and it is so worth it because of Jessica. She is the best, balancing a great work out with safety and care.Pat Nobili
I love our local rec. I had no idea that they hosted Birthday Parties! It was a lot of fun!
I mainly go to swim. It is fantastic! Friendly lifeguards & good rotation of swimmers. Plenty to do overall at the rec center including weights, cardio, walking / running, classes for health and wellness, learn to swim, and on it goes. Try it out; very affordable also.
The parking is ample with numerous handicap parking close to the building. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the activities. The facility is very clean from the workout equipment to the pool to the locker room and showers. They offer many activities for 50+ (silver sneakers) all the way down to 3 yrs old. The child care (Rascal room)facility is very clean and the staff is the BEST.
Vast. Two pools and copious exercise equipment.
Amazing went on a school trip and accidentally brought my phone.
Love this place, i personally think kids under 4/5 should be cheaper but this place is awesomeI didnt expect mcrc to be inviting, nice, ect but REALLY IS APPRECIATEDPool is great, life jackets providedMy daughter had her barbie doll she was allowed to play withGreat place for EVERYBODY
Nice rec center.
Another great facility.
Excellent service, employees were knowledgeable and accommodating! I love this place!
This is a great place. I cant imagine anyone would ever regret joining. A very relaxing place.
Excellent pools clean all life guards are vigilant and courteous well all but one there is always one who has whistle power blew his lil whistle because my son hugged me
The facility is really nice, but I haven’t been back in quite some time because people aren’t very respectful of others while using the indoor track. Walking in the running lanes instead of using them just to pass slower walkers, walking in groups of three or more that take up almost the entire width of all four lanes, and having small children running around it erratically are all factors that can make jogging there both unpleasant and unsafe. If they’d do something about this, I’d definitely raise the rating. I miss working out here, but the track was the biggest draw for me, since there are so few places with indoor tracks in the area; without feeling comfortable there, I don’t feel compelled to go back very often, though I might try it again soon to see if anything has improved.
Great facility with great lifeguards who teach excellent lessons to kids.
A great place to workout, meet up with friends, go for a swim, etc.
Excellent family value. The facilities are always clean, the equipment is always in great shape and the other members are friendly. We have been members here for over 5 years now and will continue to renew as long as it remains managed this well. The pool is great for families especially on those crummy winter days!
Plenty of activities at facility. Can run track upstairs. Both a recreation pool and competitive pool. The recreational pool has walk up entry for all ages. Also has waterside. Gymnasium has many basketball hoops. Enough area to convert and have volleyball and other activities. Workout equipment too, cardio and weightlifting.
I took the kids to use the pool, $7.00 for individual visit. Theres a waterslide open on the weekends. The pool area and pool are heated, so its a great way to beat the cold. Nice indoor track, gym and workout areas.
Great facility...love the pool for the grand kids
Nice pools, nice running track also.
Overall great facility!!!
Great community asset. Friendly helpful staff. So many services provided. Well maintained.
The pool here is very clean and the kids pool area is so much fun! Never disappointed!
Parking layout could have been better when they designed it. Staff and facilities great.
Great place to work out. Not very crowded after first couple months in the year. My kids have been taking swimming lessons here for years. I like it.
A well organized community center with convenient hours & affordable rates.
Field House is ok ig
Excellent swimming classes
The Medina Rec Center has a great gym, but I havent tried the pool yet. Most of the equipment is kept in good repair, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They have plenty of treadmills and ellipticals and a wide variety of weight machines, free weights, and other equipment. The track is rather small, but thats not unusual for an indoor track. The only problem of which Im aware is cold showers in the womens locker room. I dont mind them that much, but lots of ladies complain about it. Not sure what the problem is, but I hope they get it figured out.
Our family loves this place for the pool, track, equipment, and classes for adults. The kids swim lessons are extremely hard to get into and they want your child to pass every single before moving to the next class which makes swim lessons difficult. This is the one thing I dont enjoy.
Great facility that offers a bit of everything. Nice pools and splash area for kids.
Open to the public, no membership needed, such a great plus! The facility is beautiful and clean.
I love this location. The pool staff are wonderful and always friendly and inviting. The front desk staff sometimes can be a bit much to deal with, not always very friendly.
The sound of screaming kids and the haunting smell of chlorine...and foot fungus.
A little pricey, but has a lot of great benefits. An excellent pool area for swimmers of all types, indoor track, and plenty of exercise equipment as well as classes, and a daycare!
Nice place, cant believe the amount of people that use this place. Very clean and well maintained
Great place to work up a sweat.
Love swimming in the indoor pool. My 2 1/2 year old love the splash pad in the shallows.
Very polite staff, great environment everything is clean and well taken care of.
The very best pool area. Other recs should check it out.
Friendly place to go and work out. Employees are always so nice and everybody is cordial.
Well Supervised
Not too much up to date cardio equipment. Basic and slightly cramped weight room. Pool is good though.
Unprofessional staff. More interested in drama and looking for little things to complain about then watching for actual safety issues, drowning kids or even in making sure their members are enjoying the pool. My son who was 10 at the time was in the ankle deep area w a life jacket because he is particularly nervous and doesnt want anyone near him. He stayed in the ankle deep area for 2 years and thats just my son. The staff was upset we werent arms length away from him. I pointed out the rule board that had that rule listed as kids 7 and under (indoor pool rule) and that he was 10 and stays in ankle deep water. From that point on everytime we came the gaurds would gather when we gor there, stare, laugh and give us dirty looks. Very unprofessional. We havent been back to the indoor pool since and do not plan on ever coming back. We chose the outdoor pool at the park instead. Unfortunately they are run by the same management so ran into very similar issues w rude unprofessional staff.
The toddler play days are a lot of fun!
Fun Place to visit
This place has it all. More affordable than many local gyms plus it has more than a gym can offer.
Great management, great environment, friendly staff, clean . I am so glad that I joined them .
Love the combinations possible at MCRC. I work out in the gym/weight rooms for an hour then hit the pool for an hour and top off the morning with either a Yoga or Classic Silver Sneakers class. Being 70 years old it is fantastic to find a place that challenges me and provides numerous opportunities for personal success in my health goals.Great coaches and super caring staff. Thanks MCRC!
Is a nice facility. Could use some more space and classes included
Love swiming with my daughter and wife
Nice, clean, family fun or individual fun, many activities to do here for all ages
Sometimes a bit crowded with events, its a great place to workout with tons of cardio equipment and a good amount of weight machines and free weights.
Most guards arent there to do their job. But there are a handful the keep the pool safe and keep things under control. Thank those guards cause they are the true heros
Good clean place with a helpful friendly staff where the whole family can hang out
Holy cow! This place is awesome! I love it.
The ladies are the front desk are incredibly rude and should be fired
Love taking my client there to swim
Great workout facilities, the pool is very nice. Staff is helpful.
Beautiful rec center, wide variety of machines, walk-run track, pool, hot tub, sauna.
Well maintained facility. Great staff. Quality equipment.
Nice community place
Very nice but kind of pricey
Red Cross blood drive, needs support from the community.
Hate it pool closed a lot. Price to high for about they charge. Better to go to Strongsville
Has: a basketball court, free weights, machines, indoor walking track, pool, childcare options while you are there and classes.
Friendly staff very clean awesome equipment
Great value for all the amenities that you receive.
Great facility clean environment friendly staff
Great place ! The senior classes are wonderful.
Wonderful facility, a great mixture of all ages of members, love the track, and you cant beat the price. Long term member.
Pretty nice community rec center, a bit pricey
Great assortment of fitness equipment. Staff is very friendly.
Needs more stuff to quiet
Great facility, clean and up to date.
Great workout facility and awesome pools.
If your a swimmer forget it. go look at Wadsworth YMCA this place has been mismanaged to the point that the pool is closed tuesday and thursday. The problem Aquatics Director has finally retired, thank god.
This place has it all; workout, running; lanes and leisure pools.
Love this place and the sauna
