I donated money to this lovely life. enjoy for limited time only white people.
This is a place you should put on your list. It is small but meaningful, impressive and impactful. History lovers would definitely appreciate the site. Families with small children that need a short outing this is perfect. Home schooling groups can get a lot of useful information.
I love the place and I love the history
I took the tour a number of years ago and I still remember it vividly. Anyone who wants a 1st hand account of what slavery was like in Massachusetts in the 1700s should visit the Royally House.
Unique and interesting.
It was important for me to know about this place as I love to expand my knowledge of learning about history.
A really interesting exhibit. The only standing separate slave quarters in the northern United States. The interior of the Royall House is not original but rather assembled from various antiques etc, but is nonetheless very nicely arranged and does give a good feel for the whole house and what life would have been in the 18th century. It is unfortunate that the opening hours are rather limited but it is worth a visit.
Very informative tour, would recommend to friends
By lifting up the tragic and oft ignored truth of slavery in New England, Royall House & Slave Quarters helps us understand both our past and our present. Dont miss it.
If you love history this is a good place to see
Very educational and historically informative! Thank you.
Amazing piece of preserved American history
Very moving
I am a lover of black history so I was quite curious about seeing actual slave quarters. I went a tour with Tom Lincoln who showed a slave bed in the Royall mansion. I saw the bedroom where George Washington.
