Medfield Charles River State Reservation

I stopped here for the photo opportunity. There is a good kayak put in with several parking spots and the trails here seem well marked. You do need to be able to carry your boat to the water though, you cant back up to the rivers edge.

It was deer tick habitat, be prepared to not touch plants. Some cool sights to see, not too far from an abandoned mental hospital as well, so a lot to experience here!

Beautiful walk through the fields and woodland to the river. The only ugliness is a few people left behimd their dod poo-bags ... I mean hey... take it with you!!×

Good dog park, but dogs should be on a leash... more history should be made known about the property.

Good hunting, great fishing. Some pretty rough hiking as well if you go off the beaten path.

Not maintained well, still a nice visit if you like the outdoors. Tough to get to the sitting area if there is any sort of event going on. You can walk in from hospital road if you find the old access road.

Nice set of trails along the Charles River.

There is no Kyayk access. The Charles River is beautiful but no good way to get into it. Improve the access points. Naticks does not have any put in spots only good access is Bridge St in Sherborn. Why dont you encourage folks to use the river for recreation?

Great place to paddle. Great views easy put-in, low current in the river.

Quiet. Not too many people there. There were a few other cars but we encountered no one.

I think the buildings are the best feature.

This is the southern anchor of the Charles River Link Trail where it meets the Bay Circuit Trail. It has great views of the Rocky Narrows.
