So today was night out with the girlfriend we havent done this in a long time and Ive heard great stuff of this place. so for appetizers we had truffle fries which she didnt know Trump what truffle oil was until today. The other entree was wild mushroom flatbread which was very tasty. For dinner French onion soup five spice ahi tuna tacos. She had chicken fingers three dipping sauces that were House made barbecue honey mustard and ranch along with mac and cheese. Or waiter was very busy but very very good

This placed used to be pretty cool- with great food and drink selections. It is as if they have given up and understand that they will not be open much longer- so why take the time to provide good service and product? The hostess at the door was rude, period. Tap selection was terrible and the food has gone downhill from what I remember. I will not be sad to see this place close.

I had the short ribs shepherds pie. Very good. Nice atmosphere. A bit on the pricey side for the portion size.

Barrs has always been a great experience, its a laid back atmosphere with top notch cocktails and beer selection, the staff is knowledgeable in their alcohols and the selection and food from the kitchen is well balanced and have my favourite wings in the city, will always love this place!

Me and my boyfriend came here to celebrate my birthday together. We got a coupon on half off Toledo. We had been hearing great things so we decided to come in.Their drink menu is amazing! I just turned 21 so I was excited to get a fancy drink from the bar. I had a vanilla bean martini which was amazing. The other drink was called “carol killed her husband” I’m not even kidding, this was the best drink I have ever had. It was amazingly crafted. Their bar is absolutely on point. They definitely put a lot of work into their drinks!We got cauliflower wings for an app. I make these at home all the time. But these were sooo good. We both agreed next time we might just get them as a meal. The ahi tuna tacos were very good and tuna was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got a black & bleu burger and he loved it. The sweet potato fries had an amazing maple butter to dip in. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. The atmosphere is also great for young/old. They were playing hip hop music which was awesome, but it still had a very classy vibe as well. I am really happy that we spent my birthday dinner here. Also our waitress was very knowledgeable on the menu and super sweet!

This place does not even deserve a single star.I was here along with a retired NFL player on a business trip representing a very well known and respected company, however my experience with this establishment was terrible, before we entered we targeted with a racial remark that claimed to just be a bad joke, We decided to not let that prosper into something more so we ignored it and entered anyway. We were immediately told that we probably might want to go somewhere else because we would have to wait and that drinks stopped at 9:45 and kitchen closes at 10:30 even though it was only 9:00 obviously driving somewhere would be impossible due to the fact everything would be closed by 10pm so we decided to ask to wait for a table even though there were plenty tables available that we could have been placed at right away . We also asked to sit at bar and we were told we could not although others were sitting there. So we were told to sit in our car. In which we didn’t do so, so as we are standing there a couple walks in an immediately walks right to a table and others walked in and went to the bar. I questioned the host about this matter and she could not give me an explanation.It was clear that we were not welcomed here based on all things that occurred and all things that were said. This place does not welcome people of color.Oh and did I forget to mention my Agent who is A white Man called 5 mins before we entered to reserve a table for us and he was told that he did not have to wait to be seated because there was plenty of tables available and that the bar was open for seating.I will make sure to add this to all my social media accounts and colleagues at CBS.

We visited Barr’s on a Saturday evening. There was no wait to be seated, but the restaurant was lively and almost full. Two things we particularly liked were the menu and the noise level.The menu had some tweaks to normal dishes making them unusual while still providing a great selection for less adventurous. The food was freshly prepared. My steak sandwich was real sliced steak. A salad had a nice light dressing with a well seasoned half chicken breast grilled and sliced. The French fries could have used more time in the fryer.For me, the noise level in a restaurant can make or break my experience. Some restaurants use no sound softening materials and are one large echo chamber. Barr’s successfully designed elements to soften the noise and absorb the echo while allowing the place to still feel lively.We like to support locally owned restaurants, but often are disappointed. We would recommend Barr’s and will return as a couple or with a small group.

AMAZING! It was easy to make a reservation and there was life music. The waitress was very knowledge and was able to offer many recommendations. I had the Lobster Ravioli and I was blown away. The laid back welcoming atmosphere is a nice change of pace to other pubs in the Toledo area. The prices were decent. The service was great. The food was amazing. If you havent been here yet, you are truly missing out.

My friend told me to come here, I was not disappointed. The food was great, staff was friendly and helpful, Service was pretty quick, bathrooms were clean and stylish, the live band wasnt bad. All in all a great place to take your wife, friends or family.

Very nice, high-energy pub with very good food that is novel and always unique. Doubly nice that they take reservations. We went in at 6 on an obviously busy night and were immediately seated. Recommended.

Was there for a company party. Food was great, staff was fabulous. Would have given 5 stars but wasnt impressed by having to stand in the hallway waiting to use the restroom several times because they only have one toilet in each bathroom in a busy, crowded bar.

The service was great!! I went there to try their Impossible Burger and it exceeded my expectations, tremendously!! Its the closest thing to an actual burger that I have ever had!!! I also had their vegan tacos and they were delish!! Relaxed atmosphere, good food, and friendly service!!!

This place has all sorts of stuff. I feel like every time I go there have something different or unique on the menu. My personal favorite is the blue cheese burger!

Might be a reason seemed pretty slow for a Saturday night. Unique place but very slow service. Cauliflower tasteless without the siracha, chicken tacos dry but the pesto flatbread was great. Food came out cold as well. Wanted to like this place but unfortunately underwhelmed and overpriced.

Dining out in the Empire of COVID continues to feel a little awkward but the staff at Barrs today was incredibly professional and following all of the safety precautions while still providing a relaxed vibe. The cocktails and food continue to be on point..

One of the Best dining experiences Ive had in a long time. Friendly and educated staff. The food was amazing and pleasant to the pallet. The live entertainment made the experience all the more enjoyable. The price was well worth the experience. Ive been spreading the word and counting the days until we can go back.

Great tasting food and great menu. Very friendly service. Took a long from the time we sat down until we finished. They ran out of menus (I pads) even though there were 7 sitting on a table next to us. Which the party didnt show up until we were almost done

This seems like it’s a great little neighborhood place! Food was good and staff was very friendly. Even very late at night. Was passing through on my way back from Michigan.We got some wings and the truffle Asiago fries. The house wings sauce wasn’t my favorite but the wings were cooked well.Kitchen closes at 11 so be aware of that.

Excellent service and food and drinks

Food is good but the menu is a little sparse. I feel like this place is always really packed but only because its unique and its location. Ive had mixed service experiences here but if I have friends that want to go I tag along. It might not be a date night choice for me just because its so crowded. The nice thing is that you can make reservations which is very handy and recommended.

The back bar is a fun place for a casual dinner! We went at happy hour, so the $10. 50 daiquiri was just $7.00The Ahi Tuna Tacos were very good and fresh, but we both wished the sauce was a bit spicier and mire flavorful

Unfortunately my friends and I had a very bad experience at Barrs, from start to finish beginning with the reservation. We had a party of 12, anyone who makes reservations on-line knows that websites do not allow reservations for large parties yet the hostess at Barrs continued to point us to online reservations and was not nice about it. FYI - The reservation site through Barrs website provided an option for up to five guests. The message from OpenTable Unfortunately, your party is too large to make an online reservation at Barrs Public House. We recommend contacting the restaurant directly. Our party arrived at 6 pm on Thursday. We started timing how long it took to get a drink, not only from the libations menu where the drinks are a bit more custom and could take a little longer to prepare but for a beer, a glass of wine, a standard cocktail pour, is 32 minutes too long? For a party of 12, this didnt happen to just one of us, it happened to each one of us for every drink we ordered - we were there for almost 3 hours and each of us had 2 - 3 drinks. We brought this to the attention of our servers, which in my opinion we should not have had to do, but they seemed oblivious to the fact that drinks were taking that long and they were ignoring that fact completely. The food took a long time as well. I for one thought that based on the price the food would be quite good, unfortunately is was just ok. The hummus was the worst I have ever tasted, so bland there wasnt even a chick pea taste and the garlic was so heavy it burned your mouth. I personally tried the Shepards pie, again couldnt have been more bland and nothing at all special for the price. I understand that everyone could have an off night, I get it, and normally I would not be so critical but in this case, from the start to finish of our experience, tells me this is normal operation which I cannot ever recommend to anyone.

Yum! Food & drinks. I enjoy sitting at one of the 2 bars as I watch the artistry of drink making for the full experience. They will toast an orange peel or bacon for a beverage. The menu changes often with specials. Everything I have ordered is always great. There is live music some evenings that still allows for conversation.

Always a fan of this place. A little on the higher end compared to most places I go, but generally has the quality to back it up. Ive only eaten here once; it is not a restaurant for picky eaters. My time at Barrs is usually only spent drinking of their craft beer selection, which is generally fantastic. They carry several local brews from Toledo, as well as a bunch of bottles, cans, and draughts from Toledo and beyond. Again, a little pricier than your run-of-the-mill bar, but its an awesome atmosphere and great drinks.

I went here for lunch and everything was great. Our server was quick and friendly and kept our drinks full. Their menu is all done on a tablet which is neat but someone takes your order. The food that everyone in my party got was very good. The restaurant has a larger area for dinner which I would be interested in trying sometime. This restaurant is kind of hidden so its hard to see.

Stopped by for a cocktail after shopping, pleasantly surprised what a find! Definitely now on my Fav list!

Delicious spinach and poppy seed salad. Had onions, golden raisins and blue cheese. Im not normally a blue cheese fan but it worked perfectly in this salad. A few cherry tomatoes would have been good.

The girl I talked to while making reservations on the phone was cocky. We went there for my daughters birthday dinner and had round tables with barely any room to eat on. We had a 2 year old with us and apparently the waitress thought he should sit in his mothers lap to eat. After some time went by I had to ask for a booster seat for him to sit in, which they didnt have. I did get a highchair though. Our service was awful. I would never go there again.

It was my first time me to come to the Barrs Public House (BPH) and everything went well. Staff members were attentive.

Had our company Christmas party here and service was good and the shared plates style buffet menu (Kobe beef sliders, BYO BLT tacos, etc) was tasty. Atmosphere was nice too. Parking was limited but theres a hotel right next door you can park at, so not a big deal.

A unique, slightly upscale place. Prices arent so upscale. They make hand crafted cocktails that are way above what u would find at any other establishment in the area. Rotating craft beer taps. Unique menu. Go in and have a drink and an appetizer to start a date. You wont be disappointed!

Barrs is probably one of my favorite places in Maumee. Tons of craft beers on tap that rotate regularly, plus a great selection of mixed drinks and cocktails.They also have a full menu with plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options if you have dietary restrictions.If youre lucky enough to be there in the evening, dont forget to check out their beautiful patio, you wont be sorry!I ended up there twice this week while I was in town

Cool place to hang out for a few drinks. The food was okay...better than average, but not outstanding. The service concept where tables do not have dedicated servers and the tips are pooled doesnt really work. Because anyone can take your next drink or food order no one really takes the initiative to endure needs are met.Bottom line: Id give the place another chance, but first impression wasnt up to par.
