Beautiful rec center offering all the amenities for both adults and children on a safe and clean environment. Low membership fees make it extremely affordable for those families on a budget.

The kids love to go there and play in the cold and wintery days. The lazy river is so wonderful and relaxing, the little kids section is so much fun for the little kids.

It appears my last review was somehow deleted fromBefore the Covid outbreak(interesting).So I will say it again. The lifeguards were absolutely repulsive except for 1 kind girl. I have never encountered such a rude disrespectful gaggle of young ladies in my life. Front desk girls were very polite and helpful as it was our first time there with the little one to swim. As we left the front desk staff (new shift) was very friendly and helpful.

Best spot in Massillon to workout, swim/sauna, play basketball, and bring the kids (childwatch included in family membership). Clean facilities (props to Tyrone, Vern), courteous and helpful staff, and friendly regulars. Its an incredible asset to the community and Parks Department. I hesitate to criticize anything these hardworking folks do, but extending the weekend hours would be great. Just wanna get more time in at the Rec...thanks, all!

Such a great place to take my kid on a cold snowy day when he wants to go swimming. And the price is just right considering hes 2 and were only there a couple hours. Its fun for adults too. I went to an over night event here in high school forever ago and it was the perfect venue. Lots of fun for all ages.

This place is awesome, my kids have a great time in the pool area, the water is always warm. There walking track is nice as well. You can literally spend the day there doing everything they have. The staff is nice and helpful. Ill definitely keep going back.

Very neat an clean. Great for kids to spend a day. Has many water activates. Does have a dress code so call first and check on it. Clean locker rooms gym and walking track. Also rent out rooms for private partys. Well worth a membership.

Nice gym equipment and the pool is really nice and clean and its warm as well. The bathrooms and locker room are pretty clean and I really like it. A little pricey but worth it if you would use it a lot.

Great host for club volleyball tournament. Plenty of seating where you can actually see the scoreboards and the concession stand was great.

Was the perfect venue for the baby shower! The rooms have plenty of seating and separate kitchen areas. Staff are fantastic and accommodating! Only wish you could rent out for more than 3 hrs.

Very nice place for little kids ...but the no gym shorts rule is ridiculous and is very unrealistic to me due to some people do not wear swim shorts at all and which there are some who do I just feel like people should be able to wear whatever they want to wear to go swimming in ... the very openly Flamboyant young man was very rude when he approached me not even asking was I going to swim or anything just stop me right in my tracks to say that I couldn’t get in the water which I wasn’t I was going to stand there and watch my baby cousin as she came down the slide .... with me being from out of town when I do come back up here I will not come here again ... I wish I could leave a half of a star which it needs .. other then that the staff up front and the cleaning crew are very nice and helpful ... Thank you and you all have a bless day !!!!!!!

My 19 month old son and I took parent /child swim class at the rec center this summer and he LOVED it. We will take this class again for sure. The pool and locker rooms are clean. There are also family locker rooms available. Very helpful staff

Was excited to take my grand children there. However once there foundcthe kiddie area in the pool was closed for repairs. A date of reopening wasnt known yet.The young lady at the desk was very polite and nice.Will have to wait to take my grandchildren the next time their in Ohio.Great place for family time!

My daughter and her team had a volleyball tournament here 8am one morning. I decided while I was there I would ask for a pamphlet for a bday party. It was 7:59am when they opened the doors for business and the young lady at the front desk was very rude and apparently mad bc she had to work that morning told me that since it wasnt 8am and the facility was technically not open she couldnt and wouldnt give me a pamphlet and as I walked away she yelled I DONT CARE IF SHE MAD!. From that moment on I decided I wouldnt even give the vending machine my money for a pop let alone have a bday party in that facility.

Really great place the rec center rental space for partys is amazing. The pool and a cker rooms are very very clean. The custodial staff is incredible here. This is the cleanest pool I have ever seen. And Im a certified pool operator... Recommend it to anyone anytime

Its always readily available to use. Neat and clean in locker rooms and throughout the facility itself.

Not a helpful or knowledgeable staff when you call or when you come in. Should have at least one person at all times who can answer questions about facility as a whole

Beautiful facility if they let you use it. My daughter had her birthday there and the head life guard refused to let the girls use the slides even though I had called ahead and was told they would be open. There were not enough staff on Sat morning!! Really!! They did end up opening the slides for maybe 15 min of our 2 hour party. Maybe dont put children in leadership positions. Not worth the money.

I have been a member for over a year. My weight is down about 30 pounds and I feel good. Employees have always been friendly and helpful.I am leaving on an extended hike in a few weeks and just want to thank everyone for a great place to get in shape.

This is a great place for all ages!! There is a place for younger kids to play and a lazy river for parents, older kids, and younger kids! There are also 2 slides that people can go down. The slides are only open at a certain time. There is also a place for people to swim laps.

My son and I have a blast here. Fun lazy river, plus water slides to boot! Lifeguards do a pretty good job at keeping kids under control

Weve only been in the aquatics center recently. Its well run and the kids have a blast! Bring a lock and some snacks because they only have vending machines.

If you make any sound at all in the weight room you will be kicked out. If you exhale to loudly be careful. And if you wear a tank top in the gym youll ne kicked out. No deadlift either

Never having been there before I didnt know what to expect. Everything was clean, good organization. Not too crowded. Very nice place for Massillon. Did find it difficult to have my six year old boy with me and not able to have him change out of his suit. Family bathroom was way too busy, and theres a sign posted that I couldnt bring my 6year old in to the womens bathroom. Was not going to send him into mens bathroom alone. This needs to be fixed. All in all I would definitely visit again.

My entire family loves the rec center. The wife and I enjoy walking the track several times a week as well as the weight room. The on site Child Watch is fantastic and our 3 kids have a great time there. They ask to go every time we drive past the building. An excellent place for the entire family.

I took my 2 year old here to play at the splash zone. First the price of going is wonderful (cheaper before 2:30pm). Second it was a total blast. Third all the lifeguards were extremely friendly and helpful. I will continue to come back. I personally had a lot of fun and so did my family.

Spent over 42 dollars th facility was unclean the staff less friendly u got a star because it was the only lowest rating th slides dont work if th kiddy pool stuff is on jokes on me never again shame of indoor pools shame of Massillon. Pee stain around kiddy pool not aloud to show pic speeks volume. Oh and customer is never right u wont get ur money back either

There is a wonderful indoor water area with waterslides and a short lazy river along with a toddler play area with a little slide for them. Perfect for kids age up to about 10 or 12 depending on the level of adventurousness. $6 per person before 2, so very reasonably priced. Kids didnt want to leave. We will be going back!!

Everything was down when me and my family went. Spent 8 bucks a piece and again everything was down. Im sure it would have been better if everything was open.

Would be 5 star, but kids zone was closed and they had the slides closed, slides were open the 2nd day so that was good

Looks amazing I just went for the first time and took a tour staff was very friendly. My children want to come but the price is too high for a single parent of 5 $8 per day pass.

My Son, his wife, my grandson and I went here today for the first time this was a great time. The staff was so nice and very respectful. This was such a wonderful time for such a reasonable price.

Went to a friends birthday party and staff was rude and the pool rule were extremely unreasonable. Also my friend spent a ton of money to have a birthday party there and the day of the party the water slide were closed and they offered no discount even though that was the main reason this venue was chosen.

It has some activities, a huge gym and a track thats above the gym. A great place to go.

Went there for a senior, Health, Wellness, and Lifestyle Fair. The people who work the check in desk for the Rec Center were very nice and helpful. The Massillon Parks and Recreation Department who put this on did a marvelous job. They had a nice breakfast in one room with juice, coffee and water. They had an assortment of muffins and danish. Very nice. Then in the gym the different places were set up for seniors to go and find information on Banks, Sarta, Care Centers, and Faith In Action. Faith In Action is a wonderful asset to our community. They provide for seniors to be able to get to Doctor appts, To the bank, to the grocery. They are just a kind and caring organization.

Went to job fair there. It was very clean, well organized, polite people, great community involvement. I also went back for water aerobics class because of 1st visit. Great community asset!

I have been to several parties here and they are always nice. It is a clean facility with convenient amenities.

Ive gone a few times with my family and my school and it was fun. The only real issue I had was how slippery the floors in the bathroom near the pool were.

Their sports complex was super. Wished we had one like that in Trumbull County. Has swimming pool. Second story slide, fountains. They also have a track upstairs going around the 2 basketball courts. They have specific classes for Silver Sneakers seniors. Very clean

I ve visited Massillon Parks and Recreation Center to watch my granddaughter s volleyball games. Its clean, well maintained with plenty of close parking.

Such a beautiful place to go no matter what time of year Lots of different things to do either alone or with a friend, or with family.The library is there with seats to sit and read whole enjoying the beautiful view.They have a mini museum of the park and a little gift shop with some very unique gifts.The walking trail and bike trail that goes on and on.Plus you can picnic and fish and canoe and kayak,paddle boat and rent bikes if needed/wanted.The boats are available to rent also.So much to do!

There are 3 pools one for children, one for laps and one with slides with a lazy river also. They also have a walking track, a gymnasium and excersize room.

We always have a fun time and its a relaxing time as well in the lazy river!

WE watched a horrible display of MIS-management today when some young men wanted to play basketball and Michelle refused to allow them. The young men were denied a refund and Michelle called the police on them. The young men waited in disbelief as 2 cruisers arrived. We watched as the events unfolded... they were denied a refund and clearly discriminated against!! SHAME ON YOU MICHELLE ...

Great place for kids to have fun!

I have loved this place for years and spent a lot of money on passes and yearly memeberships over the years. I love it here and so does my family but I do have some complaints about my most recent visit which is today. I was going to drop off 2 of my kids whom are both over the age of 14 and have them watch their sister who is 8 and their brother who is 6. All of my children are excellent swimers but I can not just drop them off. I was told today for the first time that I must stay in the building and not on my must I stay in the building but I have to be in the pool area with my 6yr old. I did not come expecting to stay or I would have just brought my suit. I have to pay 2$ to stay so that my excited kids may swim. Also there is no way I am sending my son into the mens changing area by himself though he is 6. So Im disappointed at the moment regarding the new rules.

My first time at this place will also be my last. I paid the entry fee to play basketball. No less than 10 minutes into playing, the so called “Manager” Michelle comes and scolds us telling us we can no longer play full court. She spoke to us like we are children. All the people wanting to play basketball were ok with full court. This was not good enough for her. We also asked if we could at least finish our game first. Once again we were met with rudeness. She asked us to come talk to her outside of the gym, but then lead us to a suggestion box essentially telling us to fill out a comment if we don’t like it. At this point I just wanted a refund on my money. I paid $7 to play 5 minutes of basketball, be talked down to like a child, and then was threatened to have the cops called on me. Oh no that’s not the end. I questioned why on earth asking for my money back for a service I never received constitutes having the cops called on me. This lady asked us to go speak, we go speak, and she threatens the cops on us. We told her to go right ahead if that’s what she wants to do because we didn’t do anything to deserve this treatment. Michelle tried to offer me a return credit. I asked her, why on earth would I ever want to come back to this place when this is how you treat people. Apparently that constitutes deserving the cops called. So when the cops came nothing came of it because even they knew we didn’t do anything wrong. They simply told us they couldn’t do anything as it was a civil matter. It’s embarasssing that this place would treat people in this manner. It’s even more embarrassing that their supposed manager cannot deal with a customer that they are screwing over. If you want to throw $7 down the train to be talked to like a child, told you have to restrict to one tiny hoop for basketball while there are 15 volleyball games going on. This is your place. I can say for sure that I would never in my lifetime return.
