I went today October 15 2020. I toured it there a kid art on the basement floor. There was in the first floor a old car. A dragon a new york Yankees jersey. There was a old camera from 1907. There was ansel Adams photos. A circus things. There was a white room with different clothing. There was on the 2nd floor Paul Brown things. I spoke to a worker named Anna about the museum on the phone polite over the phone. I talked to her after I toured she was nice. But after I talked to her she kept looking at her worker next to her after I would talk to her. It was at times awkward. After she would do that when I talk to her felt odd. Im a photographer I like to go to places to take photos. I hope a manager try to get a hold of me about the awkward things Anna did. It made me feel not right.
A wonderful museum that is constantly being updated and improved
Everyone at the museum was extremely friendly and hospitable. They were quick to put me at ease and try to make me feel welcome as a a non-native, new to Massillon. The place is lovingly curated and tended-to, and theres considerable ambition in the works as to expansion of its physical space to accommodate more of its collections. I highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in history.
Awesome circus display
The Massillon museum is a great place to visit. The staff and volunteers are so nice and they always make sure you have a great time. Theres always an event or gallery opening to go to and enjoy!!!!
We had a baby shower there this past weekend. Once we got past a small scheduling issue, we were given a breath taking room with an awesome view. The staff was so friendly and accommodating!!! We got the room setup quickly and all was well by the time the guests arrived. We thought the room was perfect and everyone had a great time.
Helpful, fun activities, and great help finding ansesters i am related to
I love the Massillon Museum! Great programming for the community, fun events for members, and kids parties that my daughter loves. I am looking forward to renting out their new space next time I have an event!
We loved the island theme. Have always loved Carlos Jones & The Plus Band. We went closer to the 2nd performance, less crowded after a while. Sat in our chairs in grass on a beautiful evening.
Very nice museum made even better by free admission. Wide variety of exhibits make it a great stop for all ages.
Great educational experience for kids. Hasnt updated much since I was a kid but still a great spot.
They (the staff and volunteers) are the best. They will go out of their way to help you. Very kind in answering your questions.
Could use more exhibits but I know theyre expanding
Its a great place to go if you enjoy art or really have nothing to do. If you ride a bike here just let the staff know and they will keep and eye on it.
Fantastic place to go for all kinds of art
Holiday party for members, very well done.
The exhibits are enchanting! The photos in the basement gallery speak to your heart and the works on the second floor gallery speak to your soul.
Surprising to find a museum with this much quality, creativity and innovation. the exhibits were interesting and very relevant to the area. The staff was very engaging.
I love to bring my kids to see the circus, right noe they are updating and changing things around, with the building of the new building, but the mini circys never disappoints. Also if your brave visit Oscar in the lower level my kids always make me take their picture with him.
Its under construction and I feel the Immel Circus sign is gaudy and does not go with the time period of the circus display. The Paul Brown display was very nice. Maybe once the construction is completed... Itll be like it used to be, a quaint and lovely, with a lot of Massillon history.
Alex Coon has been doing an excellent job at the Massillon Museum. She is truly one in a million!
Great place to go to have a good time and see stuff that really is interesting and historical.
Wonderful space, friendly people!
Exceptional museum that would even make a much larger city proud. Check it out every few months as the rotating exhibitions are excellent.
Neat little museum. Wish there was more interactive things, but neat little place nonetheless.
It was nice. I wasnt sure what to expect but the exhibit was about trains and the artwork on the cars. It was free so I didnt waste any money getting in.
Interesting museum. Loved the miniature circus.
Big town museum feel in a small town! Events, ever-changing exhibits, friendly employees and volunteers! A must-see for anyone living in Massillon or just passing through!
They always have awesome events and galleries to look at.
Friendly and helpful staff! Had a wonderful time with our 2.5yr old daughter
Fantastic talk by Dr. Cooley from Walsh University. Wine and snacks made it even better.
Great place for downtown massillon! Cant wait until its finished.
Where art and history come together That about says it. The historical exhibits on the second floor are always thorough and beautifully displayed as are the art exhibits on the first floor and in the Studio M gallery in the basement. Admittance is free. Its a smaller museum, but the staff does a great job making the most of the space available.
Beautifully-run museum with intriguing, professionally-designed displays. I have loved this museum since I was a small child, and it just keeps getting better. Workshops and classes are exceptional!
Not of interest to me.
Cool place but lots of pokiestops
Under construction. I went for the Railroad Moniker exhibit. Very well presented.
ITS FREE! Friendly staff and beautiful exhibits. Great place to go with the family and theres an amazing coffee shop in the main lobby! Go check it out!
Interesting displays nice piece of history
Julie taught a great class on weaving.
I have been a member for years now. The staff a d shows are awesome considering its in a small town.
Nice addition to Massillon helps the younger generation know what yesteryear used to be
Worth a visit of you live locally, but not worth it if you are traveling any distance to see it
Wonderful group of creative professionals that are always advancing!
Great museum! Their exhibits are always interesting and engaging and the programs they provide for the community and members are always well put together and fun! Check them out!
Very Horrible Experience With The Staff. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
The museum was nice very nice I was here doing some work
Very nice museum for a small town. Lots of history, art classes, and friendly workers.
Great place, & gave them a picture
I signed up for an event there and the called me THE NIGHT BEFORE to tell me that I couldnt be involved in the event because they had too many people sign up. Thanks a bunch. I was really looking forward to it.
