The remodel looks great, with nice ambience, decor and plenty of big tvs. The food was a miss though, especially the biscuits and sausage gravy. The gravy has no sausage flavor. The tater tots are odd tasting(herb?) and the BLT had a cheap hamburger bun and was small.

Great food, very accommodating to dietary needs, great service and amazing drinks. 1st time here and will definitely be back. Thank you for the warm welcome.

First time going. Had a great staff. All the drinks that we got were quickly made and great. The food was good as well. The service here is really what makes it. Having a staff that actually pays attention and is always engaged. Great crew here and very nice relaxed spot.

3/11/2020 @ 3:00 pm. Service was very dry and he didnt care what we wanted. Asked for medium rare burger was told well we will see what you get . Never came back to check on us. Food was terrible. I wont come back. Gave 2 stars only cause the place was presentable. I did notice if you are regular here you get better service. If you dont want to eat or have service, probably a great place otherwise dont waste your money.

I am shocked by the unsavory reviews! The food is all made from scratch right down to the pizza sauce and crust. No deep fryers in the place. The staff (all of them) is pretty on there game 99% of the time. (None of us is perfect at our job 100% of the time!) I always get above par service. I have referred many of my customers there. And they have all reported back good things. 5 stars to the owner and staff!

Home plate is always fun kind of like a box of chocolates you never know what youre going to get!

You might walk in and think that you have the wrong place based on the appearance of their website. In other words you might be expecting some place a little bit fancier. The decor was definitely that of a tavern. It wasnt especially bright. Tables and chairs and benches were wooden. But the food was wonderful. The drinks were great and.generous*. The lady bartender was surrounded literally by men sitting at the bar all around her. But she never skipped a beat. She saw us come in and she came right over and got us a drink and asked us if we needed menus. She came back and she checked on us and our food and our drinks. I had the carne asada salad. Both blue cheese dressings with and without Chipotle were delicious!!! I would definitely come again. Next time Im having the personal pizza for $7. Happy hour is between 3-6.

Ive only been once but had a great time. I didnt know it was a karaoke bar with a clientele on the country side of singing, but I was with a group of singers so had a blast. The drinks were a generous size, and everyone enjoyed their food. I tried the tacos and they were deliciously fresh and tasty.

We had a party there, the door and bar staff were friendly, we has our area reserved, and even the KJ was very friendly, asking my friend to come back after doing so well.

Home Plate is terrific ! Always a great experience at Home Plate. Great people, great food and the owner is awesome . Menu is surprisingly good and lots of beer on tap, including Irish Death, my favorite .

The Home Plate is a pretty good sports bar. Good food, good beer selection, good karaoke on the weekend (if you are into that). Not fancy, but not a dive bar. Pretty much a solid standard sports bar with a good atmosphere and a great staff. Cheers!

Its hard for me to call Home Plate a gastropub. I arrived and ordered a buger. The fries were burned and the bun was stale. Not only that, the presentation was a notch above McDonalds: the burger was slapped on a plate with a handful of the wedges on its side. No garnish, not even a pickle.Service was good, though, and the locals were friendly. Beers were cheap and cold. Sports on TV. Its nicer than a dive bar and lots of fun -- but I dont think food should be the primary reason to visit.

You have to work for service. Been here multiple times and weve had to flag down someone for a drink. My only complaint. Otherwise, good food, fun people and they do karaoke Thursday- Sunday.

Went today couple minutes after opening. No idea who the bartender is. But he needs immediate customer service training. A business should be ready for business at opening. Not open then get ready. It is a Karaoke bar with dartboards. The drinks are strong and the place seems to have a good mix of people that frequent the bar. Tequila thursday is my favorite day of the week. I have never ordered Food so I can not comment on that. There is also a jukebox that offers a good range of music. Load it with your favorite tunes and its like you own the place until the selection runs out.

We stopped in by accident (went to wrong bar) and was greatly surprised. The place was packed, and there was no where to sit. We were invited by total strangers to join them at a community like table. The bar is warm and inviting and the staff was friendly and personable. Our waitress was awesome and checked on us regularly. It happened to be Karaoke night and provided a fun, upbeat atmosphere. We have since returned and it is now one of my local favorites :)

Pizza was ok. Drinks are twice the price of other local bars. $13 for a double white Russian is even more expensive than the Tulalip casino. Most bars in Marysville this would be $7-9.*It was $5.50 for a extra shot of vodka. You dont even know how obserd your prices are. Lol

Food was average at best and I didnt get what I ordered, but was told the burger was better anyway. Flies all over the bathroom and a general feeling of uncleanliness. I get it, its hard to keep a bar clean, but the public is just asking that you try. All of this before the condescending and snarky attitude of the only bar tender for 7 tables on Saturday afternoon. Needless to say, Im looking for another home town pub.

I work close to Home plate. The staff is friendly and the owners are really thoughtful of customers needs. The best food in a pub...very well crafted.

The owner is amazing and passionate about craft beers and amazing non fried food. He cares deeply about the environment in his establishment and the people who fill it. I go back at least twice a month just for the owner and pizza...And homemade ranch dani is a Delight as well!

I love coming to this local bar for karaoke! The service can be spotty. Drink prices are comparable for the area ($5-9/drink). Its kept pretty clean. Food is mediocre. The karaoke DJs are friendly.

Friendly local pub

Arrogant staff and food is mediocre, wont be going back. Use to be a great place to hang out and spend quality time but over the course of several months has gone down hill and also watered down alcoholic beverages.

I must agree with the other one star reviews. Terrible service & food. One female waitress was unbelievable in her service. Owner acts as though hes the best thing since sliced bread. Will not return.

Food was great, prices were very reasonable, but service was non-existent. Staff was friendly when you approached them, but you definitely had to track them down. They made no effort to offer service in any capacity or check on you throughout your visit. They seemed to be more interested in standing behind the bar and gossiping amongst themselves than serving customers.

Karaoke was fun, good atmosphere

The food was good and the portions are huge. The reason I am giving 2 stars is due to the fact that the service was horrible. Me and my wife came in, sat down and it took 10 mins for the waitress to come acknowledge us. Now, this wouldve been ok if the place was busy but it was not. It also took over 30mins to get our food. The waitress never once asked if we wanted another drink, we had to flag her down for everything. The bartender was fast and seemed nice but the waitress ruined this place for us and we wont be back.

The service was good. The beer was cold. I ordered a pizza which had decent toppings with lots of flavor but I cant get over how bad the crust was. It felt like I was eating a cracker with melted cheese on top.

I’m a bit of a sucker for dive bars. This place I think is special because of the memories I’ve made with friends over the years... but that says something for the atmosphere that is set here. Because ultimately fancy or not, the memories are what we hold on to, a great place to make memories.

We eat here often but the service sucks. Last night we went in to order dinner. Because we did not order liquor the bartender never served us. He never came back to get our order even after standing at the bar to get his attention. We played darts and left without dinner.

Pretty much the only decent bar left in town. Does not have a dance floor, a shame. But they do have lots of karaoke nights. The owner n staff have been good to me, helpful and friendly. But I have to say I dont find many friendly customers. Not all, but its just kind of a weird vibe of people there. Theres just more idk lame, or stuck up people there than I would prefer, especially cuz when I go out drinking I like to have fun n b happy n love on everyone, n it just kind of kills my buzz when theres a bunch of Debbie Downers around. Good note, they make delicious drinks n food. Also darts but no pool. But for Marysville right now its pretty much all u got unless u wanna go to the casino.
