Apex Entertainment Marlborough

No type of safe precautions nor social distancing in place. I never seen an employee wiping down any of the games. My anxiety was super high. Luckily I was there to celebrate my little cousins birthday. I drove almost two hours just to get there. No more visits for me until they have better safety precautions in place.

We went the 1st weekend they reopened after lockdown and had a blast. My kids had been with friends but it was my 1st time. We had way too much fun beating Centipede a few times and got so many tickets from the Arcade that they all left with large prizes. The go cart racing was a lot of fun too! Due to restrictions (at that specific time) that was all we were able to do but it was well worth the visit. When things can open up 100% again we will definitely be back!Also, the employees we encountered were all awesome! My son dropped his card (we just loaded) in between a couple machines and they didn’t hesitate to help us out. Wish I had a place like this when I was a kid!

Great place for thr children and families but not during COVID. There are no social distancing measures visible.

This place has enough entertainment to make all ages happy. My kids had a blast. We did the trampoline park last so they both slept on the ride home. We did the VR and I highly recommend that.

Two words... DONT BOTHER! I was a professional bowler and the lanes are SLICK! I also coached JV bowling and worked at Home Depot. My life partner, Joey, said the arcade was AWFUL! He played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles professionally and said he should have received at least 3 times the tickets! Hes never wrong! He also said the claw machines are rigged! We spent $2,000 without even getting a plush toy! Unacceptable! That was our honeymoon money. We wont be returning!

Wow so much to do there, but make sure to make a reservation if you want everything to go smoothly. Great environment for the little ones. If youre a fan of bowling, laxer tag and racing thats the place for you. Very well organized place.

They dont do enough sanitizing of the arcade games. I spent an hour there and didnt see anyone wiping the games down. Saftey should be a priority.

Great place to take kids and teens. Really clean, lots of security. The staff is absolutely amazing. They treat customers like it was the Ritz.Great family fun place highlighted by an excellent, attentive staff.

My family and I will not be returning to Apex. I thought it would be a nice treat to take my wife and 3 kids to Apex this weekend. Apparently masks are the least of their priorities. I noticed a group of workers socializing without masks on and asked of the policy. They laughed and walked away. I wish I did the research on this place before coming! A quick Google news search shows their lax take on this pandemic and their owner suing the Governor! Isnt this a FAMILy entertainment center! Shame on you! Lastly, there was no mini golf as advertised. This place isnt cheap either! Put customers and their safety first! Or take the family out of your mission statement!

Did not expect so see alcohol being drunk so rampant! Didnt matter if it was bowling, arcade, or anywhere else in the facility! Not sure who decided to put the BAR right in the middle of everything! If you want to be raunchy and cater to adults acting like children, just say so and open accordingly! Jeesh! Just wanted my kids to have some fun at an advertised family entertainment center but instead they kept asking me what was happening!

Had a blast at apex this past weekend! The guy running the go karts was the man! Absolutely hilarious and super personable. Made our experience memorable! Looking forward to the next time!

Went here for my 15th birthday last year in November with a bunch of fellow dumb teenagers, it was one of the best memories I have. Great place...

Place is huge! Staff was super friendly and the atmosphere seemed great. Mind you, they had all the Covid precautions in place, but you still worry. My family and I had a good time.

Complete let down. Turns out they only have go-karts, a single rope course (which can last you like 15 minutes at most.) a small arcade with probably 3/4’s of the machines were off and small bumper cars which aren’t anything special. the simulators looked decent, laser tag wasn’t even opened due to renovations which I can understand if you put it on your website. mini golf isn’t even there which again I could understand if you put it on your website.

Fun but eat and drink before you go. Foods and drinks are not worth it, but still fun.

Positive experience brought 7 other people with me and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves

Speaking as a mother of 2, desperate for a fun night out, dont bother! There really isnt much to do! We had fun here in the past but that feels like a distant memory. Short staffed, not much to do. Food was never anything special but it was fine. Now its inedible. Hopefully things get better soon and we can come enjoy Apex like we remember it!

Arrived here with the family, Second attempt... poorly staffed ; 5 people behind one desk other desks not staffed at all. Waited 30 minutes no proper signage to know where to stand to sign up for the 3 things you can do? No Axe throwing but arcade is open? Go carts you cant book online to know if its full ???? It was. Not enough servers so after wasting an hour running up and down the stairs, several times to find someone for the sports simulator rooms. we were told not enough servers to come up go down yourself again!!!! This place is so disorganized; Sat night not enough staff! Tried playing the COVID card... Im sick of that,

Had a great time celebrating my nieces 5th birthday. It was crowded inside but we were able to play everything without much wait. The staff was very accommodating and check on us frequently. We would go back again

The Apex Entertainment center is a pretty outstanding place to get your fun on. They provide a wide range of fun-filled arenas including Go Karts, bars, Lazer Tag, pool tables, bowling, climbing, virtual gaming, and state of the art arcade games. While bowling, youre able to watch your game while watching the game. This is most definitely animation for the whole family and all your friends. The Go Karts and Lazer Tag can be a bit pricey, but apart from that, everything else is worth the price of admission and they stay open late. The parking situation here is also pretty good given the average volume of patrons cycling through. The staff are always very friendly, helpful and accommodating and even appropriately provide recommendations when they can. Overall, great experience and plan to return again.

Very clean, helpful employees, just a great place. My son had a gender reveal party here (its a girl by the way). Fun was had by all.

Awesome place with something for everyone, kids and adults included. Personal favorite is Breakout Games, an escape room where they lock you up for 1 hour and you need to solve puzzles to get out. Check them out!

Went as a family with six and right yard old kids. The kids enjoyed the bumper cars and arcade but everything was quite expensive. The mini golf and kids play area were closed likely due to covid.

Looks like a great place for indoor fun, however, it wouldve been helpful if they clearly stated on their website what was not in order due to COVID 19.

Very poorly run. Came here with all family. Spent night running up and down stairs. No axe throwing. We were told to sign up online. This didnt help. Most of night spent disorganized and no direction. Some people here some people there. Kept hearing covid covid. Ok I understand but it has to be better than this. Very very disappointed. Most of night spent in disarray. Treated badly. Wont be back

We visited over February school vacation, it was neat & clean. We found it very unclear how the place was run. There should be some sort of greeting station at the entrance. We were eventually able to get game cards set up for the kids & signed up for bowling (they told us the wait was an hour) so we were off. Only to have them text us within a minute and tell us they had a lane right now. Bowling was fun but pricey, rather than by the game it’s by the hour so we had to abandon our second game mid way. We also had to hunt down a server. One of our game cards didn’t work & they wouldn’t refund our $, they’d only “fix” the card. The highlight was the indoor go karts! We tried to play shuffle board, scanned our card for the game & then we’re told we’d need to go downstairs to the front desk for the pucks (what?). When I tried to get a soda & a water at the upstairs bar I was asked if I minded that there was no ice since they were closing the bar (what?). Ultimately we we’re into it for $250, my money would have been better spent going to the Escape Room right upstairs!!!

We had such a great experience tonight at the Apex. My children loved everything we did tonight. It was the best 3 hours of my week. We went bowling for an hour for only $30 for all 3 of us. It was an incredible deal. We were greeted quickly by Rosalie, she was very cheerful and happy to be serving us. Great deals on food and very family friendly prices! We finished with the chocolate chip sundae in which i could have eaten 37 of these cause it was so darn delicious. We played a bunch of video games.We would have stayed longer but we lost track of time with all the fun we were having. (Kids have school tomorrow) We cant wait to return with their dad for more family fun! It was also really nice to run into a familiar face, Emily, thank you for your hospitality. See you again, real soon!

Its Amazing but Covid-19 makes some of the places unavailable

This is a really great place to go with friends or family. They have go cart racing (must be 58”), laser tag (42”), An arcade and much more! They also have a nice restaurant and I got the APEX burger which was very good and would recommend

Even with Covid restrictions, my family and I had a great time!! Tai was super helpful and made us want to make the trip out again!!

This place is huge and a bit pricey but the grandkids had a super good time. They have a very impressive room that is basically a sea of small square trampolines touching each other. In the middle they have several life guards to make sure that nobody is doing anything dangerous or to take care of anyone who might get hurt, We paid for an hour of this and probably got closer to an hour and half. Parents and grandparents can find nice places to sit. They can go on the trampolines, of course. Downstairs my grandson and granddaughter (5 and 8) enjoyed a very small bumper car area. They only give you 5 minutes for one payment, but that makes sense since some kids might not want to do bumper cars for very long. My granddaughter wanted to do the rope bridge which she was on for at least 20 minutes while my grandson sat in a free mini-race car while pretending to drive. There are many other things in this huge entertainment area, but after spending about $50 or more, we left. Just great fun and great memories. Worth every penny.

We had a blast throwing axes on Saturday. Connor was a great teacher.Definitely go back. Only con was its super hot in there. You should sell water.

This place was very clean, the food was good, but the food couldve came out a little earlier as you can tell some of it has cooled down. Theres tons of activities to do. Highly recommend to anyone of all ages.

This place was very fun, although I had a mixed experience with the karts. The first time I went was with my Dad and it was awesome. The staff was very efficient and showed us how to adjust the karts seat and steering wheel. We did 11 laps and had a great time, and the price was reasonable. The second time, however, me, my Dad and my sisters went. The staff never showed my sisters how to adjust their seats and wheel so they were very uncomfortable the whole race. Also, we only did like 6 laps! A bit annoying. But everything else was great, heres my overall score-Bowling-5/5Food-4.5/5Karts-3/5Arcade-5/5

So much fun. Great for corporate events, birthday parties, date night or just our for fun events. The bartenders are very knowledgeable, good price, good food. Clean facilities. Complimentary lemon water and so much more. You will definitely have fun at this place!

This place is clean and has a ton of great options but this particular time we were there the customer service within the bowling lanes was awful. The desk staff was very friendly and attentive but more specifically in the lanes themselves, it was non-existent. We were there for an hour and at no point did anyone come to ask us if we needed anything.

The place is new and has lots of activities. It has bowling, go carting, arcade, laser tag and a really nice bar. The bowling alley is very good and new.We made a reservation and the whole experience was seemles.It was surprisingly crowded for a weekday afternoon. (in a good way)!I will definitely recommend for group activities or family day out.

Fun to hang with friends here however there are to many children that are very annoying Id say just get rid of the children and then its perfect.

Review based on Go Kart.First of all I want to point out that I recommend the place! It is a fun experience and a great place to go with friends.However, their excessive use of speed control with the karts (where they slow down all vehicles because of some event on the track) is very detrimental to the experience. Especially for more seasoned drivers. Would have given 5 stars otherwise.

Really cool place to take the family. Be prepared to set a budget limit as you can easily blow through a couple hundred dollars in an hour. Really is a fun place with lots of things to do.

Very fun place to hang out with a group of friends. Its quite expensive for some games like Go Karts, Virtual Reality, and Escape Room. But the arcade games are very fun and somewhat addictive like the Walking Dead games, and Crazy Tower. Although I recommend for such a big entertainment company, they should have more deals for groups. All in all, highly recommend.

Super exciting look and appeal with three floors of fun. However understaffed poor customer service and 60$ only got us 16-20 games. The prices well one candy said 15 tickets turns out there 85 tickets. WOW IN ALL GAMES WE PLAYED 244 TICKETS what?!? 60$ 30 minutes and walked feeling like our 4 hr drive was madness for this trip off!

Weird experience overall. Bowling was fun. The food was fine. Nothing special. Same as drinks. Bartender was super weird and creepy. Made a strange remark about giving my girlfriend a roofie and taking her home. He laughed but it didnt seem funny to us at all. We took off after that. Perfect example that customer service can make or break an experience. We wont be back. Hopefully somebody teachers their staff on what you can and cannot say.

This place was massive. Has Go Karts, bumper cars, rope course, bowling, and arcade. The restaurant food was average. On part with a typical casual dining restaurants. The service was slow. It seemed like they were short on servers and kitchen was short staffed. The wait for bowling took 2 hours. They do have an online reservation if you do it 24 hours in advance. Might be the better option for bowling. Flat rate for bowling per lane. Shoes rental are separate. $4.50 per person.

This business does not care about the health and safety of their costumes nor does this business care to follow the proper requirements. I would not recommend this place nor will I ever visit it again.

A good bowling alley. Nothin special about it. Clean place. The Friday night price is $40 per Lane for 1 hour. $30 during Monday to Thursday. 6 per Lane. Some places allow up to 8.

Id like to share a little about how this company does business. Many dont know that all the businesses upstairs are separate from Apex Entertainment; all small businesses. As most know, given the Pandemic we are currently facing, many business are shutting down, including Apex and all businesses inside the building. Small business is being severely impacted by this pandemic, and Apex has done less than nothing to ease the burden for their tenants. I know one of the business owners, and have been informed that the ONLY communication Apex has had with them was to make sure they would be paying rent on time. They are not being given any leniency, no extra time to pay, NOTHING, despite Apex basically forcing them to shut down. On top of this, part of the rent they pay is a maintenance fee for upkeep of the lobby/common area. Despite the fact that the building is closed, all small business will be forced to pay the full amount for this fee, for a common area that ISNT BEING USED. This has me so unbelievably disgusted. The business owner I know has cut his own salary in half to make sure his employees are still being paid during this difficult time, meanwhile Apex is pulling absurd moves like this. It is important to know where your money is going, so please support the small businesses on the third and fourth floor. They are small employers who are hurting at a time like this. The owner, Robert Walker, owns the entirety of the Apex complex, not just the one building, including Hotels in the area. People deserve to know where their money is going so I will send this to news outlet that will listen. This should be a time of looking out for each other. I was understandably disgusted when I heard this story, and I believe the customers of Apex should know who they are giving money to. And believe me this is only scratching the surface of what this company does. Everything from the mistreatment of their own employees to the gouging of outside companies.

Great, fun time. Little pricey but thats to be expected with all there is to do. Well kept, Overall good place for kids, date night etc..

Great fun, this place has it all, from go kart, to bumper cars, lazer tag, bowling with the option to have a waiter bring refreshments and food. They also have the option to use the small balls or big ones. They have a jumping zone for all ages, an escape room as well, virtual sports, arcade, virtual gaming, a climbing above the arcade area, and Planet Fitness connected to it all. Prices vary, but definitely worth it. Great fin for the whole family, very clean and organized with great staffs available all around to help answer all questions. I believe they have about 4 floors with elevators accessible as well. Many restaurants just a walk away from the building, you just cant go wrong. Great place to also celebrate birthday party. Definitely call or speak with staff for more information. Last but not least they have a section for the little, little ones as well. While the big kids go off and play you have the option to even have your toddlers to have fun as well.

This was part of my bachelor party and honestly had so much fun here, I wish we had planned more time here. My favorite part was the arcade where you buy TIME instead of credits. Actually lets you enjoy playing the video games as much as you want instead of trying make sure you dont waste all of your credits on one game. I wish more arcades used this model.

Definitely a fun place to go. Attended corporate holiday party here. All had a great time! Only disappointment was the appetizers. Not nearly enough food for the amount of people in attendance but everything was tasty.

This is the third time Ive been at Apex for an Autograph Signing event. The manager Mike was very helpful and nice. They run a great place I cant wait to be able to go there just to eat and play the games and race the carts!

I took my wife and children here to celebrate Mothers Day. We went bowling and enjoyed the 50% Mothers Day Discount. We ordered food while bowling, and I must say that our waiter gave us the best service I have ever experienced... Period. His name was Alex and he was kind, courteous, and made sure we knew that our business was valued. We have 4 young children and he was extremely patient with us. I truly appreciate the service that he provided. Apex should hold on this guy because he is a real asset.

My family went to apex today and face masks were not being worn by employees and no monitoring of public entering building and wearing them in the arcade. Bad management of facilities

Melissa was extremely personable and patient with our large group. I would highly recommend this location to friends and family. Not only was she patient but she made us feel so welcome and comfortable. She is beautiful inside and out.

First and last time at Apex. Ive never spent this much money at a place that I didnt enjoy for one minute. Almost $400 for my family to wait wait wait. Several attractions had nobody at the counter. When they came, they were rude and disrespectful. Hello!? I am trying to give you money! These people have no clue. The food was terrible to boot which was the nail in the coffin. Took 25 minutes to get a drink and almost an hour to eat. Food was cold and unseasoned. Just another overrated business that puts customer service LAST!

Do you like parking? Too bad, jerk.Facilities are good, though. But literally for the last couple months every time I go the main lot is full, the overflow lot is full, the garage is full, and theres a good 10-20 cars orbiting, just trying to find something.

This place really is an awesome all-in-one stop, with modern bowling, go-karts and arcade. With full service for drinks, snacks and food, you can spend a whole day here and not run out of things to do.

The actual facility is pretty great. Prices arent bad for bowling, laser tag, or games. Bumper cars are a rip-off. And consistently, the staff behind the registers are rude and not helpful. We went to bowl and were told none was available until 930. We then overhear another staff member tell someone else that candlepiywas open at 715. We tell our staff person that wed like to reserve that time, and he argues that its not until later! I said that its 2 hrs earlier than the other time and we werent told that we had that option. They expect you to KNOW everything and will give no info voluntarily to be helpful. I dont know that we will come again for a third time.

Events/Sales Experience was rough...I had the strangest, most negative experience with the events/sales team at Apex, I just couldnt recommend them and I never even booked my event. Heres what happened -I worked with their events person for a bowling event in their 8 lane VIP Bowling room, for this December, for 70 people, and including food and beverages. When the contract came, it was incorrect. They had the food on the contract, but did not include the entertainment portion. I responded very promptly (within 2 bus hours) that I needed that correction and then we could sign.A couple hours later, while I was waiting for the response or corrected contract, the events person EMAILED me (rather than calling) to say that someone had booked, via their online booking system, three of the 8 lanes I was reserving, so I would need to reschedule MY event. I suggested that they reach out to the other folks, apologize to THEM for the error, and figure out a way to satisfy both groups. That did not happen. Instead, she pushed back and told me she couldnt move the smaller group and I would need to change the time, and/or date of my event.From this point forward, it was very very difficult to get the Apex entertainment events person to communicate with me regarding options for alternate dates/times, in fact, it has been two days since our last communication, they sent a corrected contract with THEIR proposed alternative date/times, and they have not followed up at all - code dark, nada.My experience shows that if youre planning an event, unfortunately, I have to say that Id suggest you pass on Apex.

This is a great place for any age. They have a trampoline area with lots of places to jump and swing. There are arcades, pool tables, laser tag, bowling, bumper cars, rope climbing, and the go karts. They were a blast to drive! The food at the tavern inside was good also. I had the salmon BLT and it was very tasty. The parking is a bit tough, since so many people want to go and some construction is still going on next door. But make an effort to get here and spend a day. It is worth it!

My visit this week will be my families last! I understand it is school vacation! We made online and phone reservations for bowling! When we arrived, nobody had those reservations! It was my sons 12th Birthday that he was looking forward to for months! The girl at the counter was rude and could have cared less! We waited two hours for a bowling lane and left! My son was in tears! We have spent thousands of dollars at Apex. This facility is a lot of fun but if they dont understand customer service they dont deserve our money! Thank goodness for the Trampoline Park upstairs as they saved the day!

Had a great experience last night (2/22/20) at Apex. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was awesome. Recommend seeing Nick at the bar, kid knows how to make a drink and the hospitality was umatchable.

These guys hit this one out of the park! One consolidated location with amenities for all ages, good spot, accessible from many areas and easy to get to! This location was very well planned and a lot of detail went into the design of the place, I’ve been in Marlboro for for 2 and a half months now and frankly I don’t need to roam anywhere else, I addition there are plenty of hotels in the area to accommodate out off town guests like myself, highly recommended you won’t regret it!

To be honest it was ok. Obviously you need to pay for everything separately which really adds up. I would reccomend booking online ahead of time so you know youll get to do the things your kids want. I wasnt overly impressed but my kids still had fun.

My original review in regards to my experience was corrected and Im updating my review.We had a good experience in the go-cart arena, but the venue was very busy during holiday time. There were fewer options for scheduling for our group and group rates were not available for those options

Waste of money, plain and simple. Customer service was poor across the board. It started at the bowling desk, at the bar, and everywhere you turned. Waited 20 minutes to use the sports simulators before anyone even showed up! The facility is quite impressive its sad because I had high hopes. But whoever is running the show here has no clue. Customer service and satisfaction is clearly at the bottom of their priorities!

This place is unreal... No really it doesnt exist .. in this world at least. That right is so good its out of this world.

My husband and I took our daughter here recently and even though she not really a kid anymore all three of us had a blast It was like old times when she was little! We played laser tag the two of them did the ropes course we all bowled and ate food was awesome inside the bowling alley we just really had a great family night thank you Apex!

3 stars for all the great deals and all the arcade and activity’s,1 star for the impressive size of the center.The only problem was that although I liked to see how big the place was,I had a lot of trouble finding things.So just a suggestion,can you put arrows on the floor so that people know where they are going?But other than that,I had a blast!I am so looking forward to coming back again with my whole family!WOO HOO!!!
