The intent of the shop is good and the location is fresh and clean. Game machines are upright and tabletop cabinets running emulators that allow the player to select from dozens of true-to-form classic games. It would be helpful to display directions on how to start the games, as the process was confusing, but when you got your choice going, it was as expected. A digital “pinball” table emulates true play via a giant, flat monitor display inside of a classic pinball cabinet. Giant flat panel monitors and dedicated couches fill most of the shop, for hi-res, current generation game play. Again, confusing to get going... the game was selected and then the game disc needed to be requested from the workers. We attended a party here and the experience was less than desirable, however. The air conditioning was clearly broken on a hot day—which I completely understand can happen to anyone—but I did not understand why a few fans couldn’t be set up during our 2-hour stay? Kids and adults were visibly soaked with sweat. Perhaps an offering of some ice water, nothing fancy? The party mom was not offered a discount or coupon for a future visit. The party mom requested a closed shop in lieu of pizza and although promised at setup, the arrangement was not performed. Pizza was served from a local spot in the strip mall—it was hot and tasty—but the host worker was handling food items and utensils without gloves. Little to no fanfare was made by the shop to acknowledge the birthday. VERDICT: It was a bad luck day for the owner; however, I felt the situation could have been handled better. The game setup details can use some improvement.
My daughter, husband and I hung out for an hour and had a wonderful time. We cant wait to go again. Might make it a normal thing.
