Nice. A lot of flies and mosquitoes when we were here late October through mid November 2020 so come prepared like we were. Beautiful campground with lots to do on the water. Very clean and the staff here was the best Ive seen in years. Keep up the good work!

Small park but very cool and clean. Tent camping on the river was AWESOME and the staff is great. Lots of trees and shaded tent areas. Pam is so nice and made us feel welcome. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that the good bathrooms/showers close from 11pm to 6 am leaving only port-a-pots, and bicycles are not allowed.

I was not unhappy with this rv park, my space was nice, the park was clean, the personal was friendly everything worked. But why go to this park? I know I have been to some parks and have loved them, and read reviews and been shocked to read poor reviews, I just wish 1000 trails would invest a little in this park. Its in California and there is no pool? Maybe not necessarily a pool but something.

Went here as kind of a last resort thing because most places were filled up or closed. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The first spot we went to had a lot of burrs. So definitely not a great place for dogs. The water also had lots of algae and stuff right at the shore. There were lots of spiders and stuff right on the shore too. But other than that it was okay. The second spot we chose was a lot nicer but the sand was too soft.

Its a private joint. Turtle beach RV Resort. RV area was decent to the eye. Rv area has a communal restroom. The tent campsite was less then. Broken tree branches couldve been picked up, and trash taken out of the communal dumpster, the beach area couldve been weeded. Do yourself a favor and dont pitch tent on the sand lots. or park on sand. You might get your car stuck. Saw it happen twice while I was there. They had picnic benches and fire pits with BBQ grills on em. Porta pottys with toilet paper until the tp got stolen. It might be a good idea to get your tp locked up or encourage people to bring their own tp. their was a house boat parked on the river looked that like A tweaker fort. Management could do better that place could be a real gem. They also had horse shoes. Couldve use a sand pit for volleyball/dodgeball er something. Step your game up and I might get a membership for $40 a month.

UPDATED 12/3/18WERE BAAAAACK! this time we stayed in the D section. Arrived Thursday at 10ish am and was able to get a Water/Electrical hook up site.Since were off-season campers, there was a small amount of campers here so that made it WONDERFULLY ideal for us.Becky once again was super helpful and basically a pleasure to communicate with. She NEVER has made us feel like were asking stupid questions, and her attitude was cheerful. :)We un-hooked in the pouring rain but hey, it went very well. Waited for the rain to subside but hearing the falling rain on our Travel Trailer was kind of romantic so my honey and I stayed in for the most part.Friday, cleared up enough to go fishin! We went to the beach we went to last time (along Riverview Beach area) and fished for about 4 hours. Not one bite. Still had fun!Saturday, yeah it rained in the morning but it was still nice to see people walking their dogs and saying Good Morning. So we went to the Recreation room at the Main Office Building. Great variety of activities to choose from! An Armoire full of games, a tv/ couch section, a great pool table, and some reading material. We played a few games of pool until the rain subsided.Okay, rains gone! NOW on to fish again. 5 hours this time at a cute little pathway that lead to a rocky area, but still no bite. So we went back to the beach area. At no time did we feel uncomfortable leaving our trailer or our belongings (bbq and chairs) outside unguarded. Our last day, was kind of a bummer to go back to reality...but again, well be back soon.Oh, will not close without mentioning Levi. Hes an employee there and he is also super helpful and friendly! Pretty cool dude if you ask me! :)*******************************************************************OCTOBER 2018We are TT Members and yes you do have to pick your spot once Check in comes and people start leaving....but ALL of the spots are fantastic.Yes, the ones with FULL hookups are reserved for people who lease yearly, but which ever spot you choose you cant lose.We had every intention on getting a Electrical and Water Hookup. We have a toilet/black water tank in our 29 foot travel trailer...so that was no problem. We arrived early (around 10:30 AMish), check in is 12 noon btw. We were greeted by BECKY! She was wonderful and very personable. Super friendly! She asked that we follow her to a few sites where the campers are leaving at 12. We liked a couple of them.So Becky asked that we wait in the Dry Camp / Overflow area and wait until either sites opens up.Where she lead us was along the River! It was BEAUTIFUL! We saw the campfire ring, just about 25 feet to the nearest beach area......yes you can hear the freeway but BARELY! Trains do come along but I grew up loving trains so it was no big deal to me.Uh on second though Becky...were staying HERE! :DWe have a quietish Generator, Propane, toilet, Fresh Water....BAAAAH....were good!!!We had a few neighbors behind us that were not bothersome. Friendly people taking their walks in the mornings. And employees driving around in their golf carts making sure things are alright. What MORE could you want? Oh yeah, excellent Beach areas to fish all day in!Only thing wrong: If you want to night fish, there are the teeny tiny flying white bugs that bounce off your eyes, nose, get in your ears....there are bunches of them! Theyre attracted to light (Lantern?) so if you dont mind...then its no big deal. Mosquitoes made a MEAL out of me! But hey, its camping! Not a 5 star Hotel!Other than that....this place was AWESOME! Even the dump station was easy to use!We are definitely coming back! Thank you Becky! :D

Also, the people are tops. Friendly and helpful and always on the job.

Nice clean for a 1000 trails camp ground. But as a 1000 trail members I only got power and water and very little shade if any. My last 3 visits at 1000 trail parks have all been the same. All the good spots are long time parking. Not really worth the membership fee to me.There are plenty of better RV parks.

Very nice place to camp, but a bit pricey. The tent sites are huge! There are portable toilets nearby, but not too close. They are kept VERY clean, no smell really, not even the blue cleaner smell. The beach area was an easy walk, the kids LOVED it! One drawback was the close proximity of the train. It would come through with the horn blowing kind of late (11ish) it is just across the river in the corn field.Since we live so close we probably wouldnt camp there again, but certainly are planning some day trips for sure! It is a hidden gem.

This is a Thousand Trails park, which generally means that the facilities are adequate but not high end. This is a small park that has been adding more water/electric sites, but the 50 amp/full hookups sites are still always full. You come in with reservations and must spend at least a couple days in area D, which is water/electric until a full hookups site is available. Costco, Kohls, Walmart, JC Penney, Bass Pro Shop, and other shopping are within about 5 miles. Home Depot and Petsmart are a little farther.

I really enjoyed staying in this park!Management is really nice and very attentive. One of the managers here whos name is Janice surprised me with such a quick response to our inquiry. I asked her if they had a Fire pit for rent, (which I was almost sure they didnt ) and she told me that she would look for it. Immediately she went to look for it even though it was already around 8 pm, got it out and delivered it to my site and gave us wood too. I was amazed !Thank you Janice for being so helpfuland making such a pleasurable stay for us!!!

First, we enjoyed out stay. Quiet and private feeling. There are some downside about staying here as there is no store on-site. Everything you would want to go to is a drive (not very far, but nothing near by), and amenities on-site are not plentiful. There is a small sandy beach within the park that we were able to fly a kite. It is right on the river, so fishing could be an option I would imagine. We would stay here again I am sure, but we would probably bring more to do (and more groceries).

What a Gem, Well Oiled, Smooth Running Machine, of a place.Check-In was effortless. Janice met us at the gate, Welcomed Us and suggested a great site along the river then came by later to make sure we all set. The next day we dropped by the office to request an extension and Becky was able to get us a few extra days. She suggested we try again the next day to see if she could find more days for us. Dropped by again and she did her magic and was able to extend us to the maximum stay. A nice side note was she remembered my name. Our stay here has been awesome the facilities are well kept and the sites are spacious. Everyone here is friendly. This is definatly a TT Park we will come back to.

I dont understand all of the positive reviews for this place. It was our first stay at a Thousand Trails park. The road in was really sketchy, the winds were non-stop, the freeway noise and trains were obnoxious, and the place overall feels very blah. Just stayed here last weekend and I found it large and enjoyed the clean restrooms but not all sites have dump stations and the long term residents seem to have green grass which they water AND dump sites. I was jealous. I also am a member of 1000 trails but somehow I didnt get a free stay (I had no idea you CALL for this and I reserved online). I asked about this when I checked in and the staff person basically scolded me for doing that wrong and offered no assistance but even charged me the balance of my reservation. Guess Ill work that out on my own.As for the lake, its very much for boats. I wouldnt even let my dog drink the lake water and I wouldnt consider swimming in it although it was over 100 degrees. Nice breeze at night and pretty sunset. Overall it was ok for me as I wasnt hanging out at the campground. Id say not a destination unless youre a boater.
