I love the environment, they treat you well. My family works there but that does not do anything to make this a five star. Just I love this place
Was just thinking about the great time I had at Snow Trails this past year and felt the need to review. Great service and even better workers, you can really tell they enjoy what they do. A must if you are in Mansfield during the winter months.
I am 14 years old and before this year i had never been skiing but the first time that i went to snow trails i instantly fell in love with the sport and i spent over 500 of my own money just to ski there because the place is just so fun
We had a great time here! The kids complained at first since it was going to be a 45 minute drive to get here from Northern Columbus, but boy were they saying thanks by the time we left! We did the snow tubing, which for the two hours we paid for we got between 10 to 15 slides down the hill (we also took a 15 minute break to use the facilities and have a hot cocoa / grab a water). You do go fast and I was concerned my 4 year old might fly out of her tube but we all survived (and she never came close to popping out) and had a blast; she even went down on her own a couple times!Id highly recommended a visit to anyone. Get there before the season ends in March!
My wife and I had a great time coming out for our Lets Get Started Lesson. Chuck was a great instructor and very polite and professional. It was easy to see he really loves what he does. If youve never been or are hesitant due to being inexperienced, take the time and book a lesson and you will be rewarded with a very fun experience. We are already planning a return trip .
Went with my 11 and 4 yo sons.It was a great first time experience for snow tubing. We went with friends and family and we totally loved being there. We had a blast! Thanks to the friendly staffs who made this memorable. It was affordable too,and we got food coupons also with the tickets(which includes a hotdog/burger and soda). We will definitely go again for lots of fun.
Pawpaw fell down hill no one helped
Always a fun time at snow trails. The lodge has live bands quite frequently. The food is a mix between cafeteria and bistro style and they have a pretty good selection of different beers.
Always a great time. Lots of events and live entertainment.
This place is fantastic. We have been here several times and it is always a blast.m Not the biggest or the fanciest, but seems to me it is the best. The night times tubes are great for small kids and big kids will love it to, at least mine always do and I have a great time too.The lodge does get packed but it is a great place to warm up and grab a dinner while taking a break from the slopes.
My son and I went today skiing. I have not skied for 29 years, so I decided to take a private lesson with Dale at Snow trails. It was perfect. He was super patients and we went through all the basics and we even went down on one of the easier hills a few times after the bunny hill basics training. We practiced safe breaking, turning, getting on and off the ski lift, and going down the hill several times. We had a great time.I highly recommend; both Snow Trails and private lessons for beginners.
First time there and we all had a blast. We did the tube sledding for two hours. The best $25 a person fun you can get. The facility is amazing. Cery clean and the staff is wonderful. We did multiple races were the staff had to give us running starts. I suggest getting there a little early as it does get busy around noon. Will definitely be back.
Shout out to the friendly and helpful employees at Snow Trails! Took a new skier there on Sunday, and the lift operators and ski lesson folks were wonderful about helping him. Really appreciate this place!
Hello! Had soooo much fun at this place. Met this really nice employee who really seems to about his customers and has a happy working experience. His name is Luke (works Sunday night shifts). He deserves a raise :)
Skiing was great, inside bar area ..not so much.Enjoyed a day of skiing and had a good time, lifts werent crowded, snow was perfect (as perfect as we have in Ohio).Went upstairs to the bar area around 6:30 - 7:30. Might have stayed longer, but after1) The six or seven bouncers standing at the end of the bar didnt bother to move or help this one lady that drunkenly fell down the 3 stairs. She laid there sprawled out on the floor, one bouncer commented oh yea, shes drunk Her head was 1-2 feet away from the staffs feet! Another patron helped her up, and the lady slowly walked to a rail a few feet away. My wife finally went over to check on her, and the lady replied Thanks, she was good2) There was a band performing that night in about 60-80 minutes. Bouncer started passing out blue wrist bands, and asked us if we were staying. We replied NO, and were told that they would be taking our stools then.REALLY??.. The patrons that sat at the bar, ordered 4 beers and a pizza were going to be evicted.
Very fun. Went tubing. In 2 hour time slot, we went down at least a dozen times. Easy process.
Solid northern central Ohio ski slopes. The terrain park has slowly grown but it has now become crowded due to consolidation of other smaller terrain areas disappearing. West woods is the longest of the slopes and very kind to new and experienced riders. Steer to the opposite side the hill for the aggressive slopes, near the tubing area.
Here for the Mansfield Music Fest. Very cool venue. Good sound without being too loud. Great rustic atmosphere. No Yuengling at the bar though. That was disappointing, but still a cool place for music.
Been going here for over 10 years best place in ohio to ski with a great park! food and drinks are always great!
Great first time! It was the perfect day out and was not busy.
We went snow tubing and it was totally rad! We will be back next year, so much fun. There is a tow belt thing to haul you and the tube to the top. At night they light the place up. Fire ring outside to warm up with. Employees are super helpful. Great fun!
We took a church group of teens of 22 people. We had a blast, but I was surprised of the large amount of crowd that was here when we got here.
Its just a good place. My review cant even emphasize enough how good this place is. Good food in the Last Run Bar, extremely good snow, just go for yourself. You cant do any wrong going here. I come here a lot because I have gold passes, but Im not biased. To a newcomer to skiing or an experienced skier/boarder, this is heaven in Ohio.
It aint the biggest, or the best, but its home. The atmosphere and the hard work they put into their park and the hills is worth every penny you pay for a lift ticket. Get out there and ride.
Id absolutely enjoy spending time here! That is... if I made six figures...
We had a fabulous experience! The kids (11 & 14) had a semi-private lesson and went from zero to skiing in one day. Their instructor, Rich W., was awesome - far above and beyond what we expected. Rich related well to the kids, applying concepts from their other sports. Like the other staff members, he also did a great job at explaining logistics. The equipment and facilities are well maintained and everything is well marked.
First time ever going unfortunately I could not participate because of my back issues but definitely enjoyed my time watching the kids. They were so happy and had a blast! Cant wait to take them again next year!
I got a new pair of board boots from the ski shop for Christmas and was having trouble with them. Some of the employees weren’t very helpful but Jake and Amy made sure to get the problem taken care of. If someone is new to snow sports and needs equipment I would definitely recommend going to talk to them. Make sure to ask for Jake or Amy!
Earliest ski season ever! Great job Snow Trails! Had a great time last night!
We came the weekend of Jan 11 for glow tubing. The staff were all super friendly and the ones working the slides really seemed to be having a great time. The slides are intense, especially in a group but it is such a thrill. Love the lights and music playing while we were there. Drove almost 3 hours to be there and it was definitely worth it! We will be back.
Very nice place with a very friendly staff. Not very big/long slopes but thats expected in Ohio and well worth the time going there if you cant travel out of state to the mountain ski resorts. Highly recommend if youre a beginner and/or want to learn how to ski.
I havent been here in awhile, but I have had a lot of memories growing up skiing at this place and it is exactly the same besides the insanely awesome glow tubing!Came here to see Rock House and it was just overall an amazing experience. Got to see an amazing band in a more intimate setting and the crowd here were so fun and lively, and the staff was awesome. This place is a gem.
I am very disappointed that you have to purchase tickets online. Who buys a tickets and spends the entire day here? I sure dont. Maybe they should sell some tickets online and leave room for those who want to enjoy an hour or two tubbing. Better yet, sell tickets for two hour increments. Not everyone has a computer available to pre order tickets. I have spent many years skiing and snow boarding Tahoe and never had to purchase tickets in advance.
Great winter fun..little cost for a lot of fun !! SECOND REVIEW: 1/12/2020 Went glow tubing again. Great fun !! My 4yr old grandson loves it !! There was a problem with the belt taking us up but it was fixed ASAP. They added time to our ticket. Very nice staff.!! Look forward to coming back before the season is over. I drive 2 hrs to get there..well worth it.!!
Good place to ski and tubing in Ohio, on our visit this place was crowded and not much staff on tubing but overall good experience
Such a nice place! Well taken care of and great hills.
First time here but it will not be the last God willing.Took my family of 4 to do snow tubing it was fun then I tough it will be.We got there early signed in and was told to come back 15min before our scheduled time for the tickets and did as was told everything was organized so we got right to the fun part. For first timers we had a blast and the lines was moving smoothly so got to go way more times than expected even though it was lots of peoples. The only suggestion I have is if it’s possible to put some guardrail at beginning of the lift like the end? Will definitely be back.
This is THE place for wintertime fun in Ohio, thanks for always having well preped slopes.
Honestly, if youre stuck in Ohio, the lodge is why you go skiing! ST has the best ski lodge in perhaps the United States! They do a great job with the snow they get and the snow they make, The Woods park is lively and fun. Its a great place to keep your edges sharp while youre waiting for your next western ski trip. Theres a party every weekend thru the winter. This place has introduced many buckeye kids to the sport and inspired them to move to the mountains.
Our family of 4 ski here often and love it! Staff is friendly and go out of their way to talk with the kids and ask them how they are enjoying themselves. Each time our 4 yr old rides the chair lift (beginner hill and West Woods) the operators slow down the chair and make sure she is good! They do this without being ask. Inside staff is very helpful and friendly as well!
Great place to ski and hang out! Conveniently close by.
Best place in Ohio to ski. They are always putting money back into the resort. Every year they have something new. It helps that all the staff there are awesome too. Very friendly people.
They offer it all! They have decent rentals, offer lessons, clean bathrooms, warm eating atmosphere (bar food and alcohol is available), and well maintained slopes. I paid only $10 for an instructor to help me with snowboarding as a beginner and he was so friendly and informative! I learned waaaaay more in the first half hour with him than the two hours I spent just before trying to figure it out by myself. Best ten bucks Ive spent in a long time! Also, the glow tubing is a perfect activity for any family. The lights and the escalator that takes you up to the top of the hill takes makes it so much more enjoyable. Plus they even had a DJ and offered free glow sticks! The staff is super friendly and the ski lift attendees will slow the lift up for anyone that may struggle getting on and off without hesitation (kids, beginners, ect). As a beginner this was a great place to be, but I am sure people with more experience find it just as fun!
Pretty decent facility. Grounds are kept very well.
Awesome food!! Had a great time hangin out with old and new friends!!!
Great atmosphere, nice people and best winter resort in Ohio.
Great place, nice costumer service. I was seeing Ski Patrol all the time, this means their care about safety. I took 2 hours Ski private lessons with Mike, hes a truly professional Ski Instructor, very patient and helpful. Even when we had a lessons a little boy was stuck in the snow and he rushed to help him out. He cared about others, thats make this place more safety for all!!!! A+++
The tubing was a blast and having a powered conveyor belt to ride to the top was great. The runs are too fast for younger children, despite what the website says. My 5 year old was absolutely terrified. Sorry, no refunds. Not all the lanes were open, so at full capacity there was a significant wait which cut down on the number of runs you could get in. Recommend checking the website for the number of available tickets to gauge crowd size.
Great fun. They dont overload the tube hill with people so its easy to go down round after round. Probably got 10 slides in our 2 hour with a hot chocolate break in the middle.
If spending lots of money will dent your bank account, youll need three lawyers. Because paying for a pass here is a head on collision.
A fun time with the family and friends
Good snow, great staff
Went tubing with our 5, 4, and 2 year olds and had a blast! Glow tubing was so fun, staff was very nice and helpful when needed. Lines at the top moved quickly so you could go many times with very little wait. My mom stayed in the food/restroom area with our Newborn and was able to watch us. Outside fire was a nice place to quickly warm up. Only thing we didnt like was the price for a machine made hot chocolate...$3+ was not worth paying for it. Eat before you go and then wait until home to snack or take some with you. Also advise wearing snow goggles as flecks of snow will hit your face.
Fun, fast tubing but we went from 5-7pm and only got to go down 4 times in 2 hours due to the wait times (started right at 5 & took no breaks). Wish they would not allow as many people so that everyone could have shorter wait times.
So much fun every year, nice employees, and love watching the live cams all around the ski resort
This is Ohios best ski location hands down. Big mountain feel in a little resort. The conditions and facilities are always kept top notch. If only Mt Manfield were a little taller... Id never leave.
Fun place to go for some fun!! The light show is awesome! Guys/Gals up top are fun to make fun of and enjoy. You do have to sign a waiver of liability. Cafe of coffee, hot chocolate and treats, fire place!! Please teach your children respect. Teens need to be a bit more respectful as we are all here for fun!!
Great timeEven when busy it did not feel busy. Staff were very friendly in all areas. Even the kids in the rental area were very friendly.
Today was my families first day ever at Snow Trails. We went to the tubing hill and was greeted at the ticket office with the nicest woman. She was so helpful to guide us through everything we needed to do. The gentleman who helped us get our tubes was very kind, and even took a family picture for us. The workers at the top of the hill had the greatest personalities to make it an even more enjoyable time. We are even talking about setting up our next trip back.
1st time at this ski resort yesterday. Great day for skiing and more runs than I thought which was nice! Just wondering & also concerned why there are no bars on any of the chair lifts? Been skiing for 25 yrs (mostly in NY) and have never not seen the bars on lifts. Seats were also very slippery as well. Really anyone could easily slip off with nothing to grab onto. Lifts Could really use some maintenance.
Fun to do, the lines were really long for the glow tubes, only got to go down 3 times in a 2 hour time span. They need to devise another way to get the people up and down a little faster.
So much fun! The DJ and the fireworks were awesome!!! It made for a great night with the snow storm that came through...
They almost need a bigger snack shack next to the tubing area. Always a good time though! Staff is friendly! Didnt visit the concession stand, so I cannot comment on that. Easy to find from the highway.
Love the fact that Snow Trails always does a great job of grooming the hills. Skied this morning and although it was cold the snow was fantastic and all slopes were open.
Good fun place. Pretty small but good kids program. Friendly staff, not as crowded as the other place
Food was okay, loved skiing there. had personal training and ended up going from beginners trails to intermediate in one day
We went glow tubing with the whole family and had a blast! The staff was very helpful! Definitely would reccomend for all ages!
Awesome place! Love that there is a decent ski hill in the middle of Ohio of all places! Its relatively small compared to others but it is still a blast.
This was such a fun place despite being-6.°Fbut the lodge was cozy with fire. Almost too warm with all the people who were all friendly. Bar staff did an outstanding job with great attitude, smiles. Band was good, (sang Happy Birthday to someone in our group) of course had heard them before @JD Legends. We didnt try any of the food since had eaten at Bucks beforehand, since our arrival was at 8pm.Also loved picnic area(?) Enclosure to observe the slopes. Great for watching with coffee after face got numb
This place is complete garbage!! I was told I could cancel my reservation and get a refund. They don’t do refunds, all you can do is move your time slot!! Would have been nice to know before I bought tickets!!
Really liked it was a good time.
First time skiing- it was a blast! I had a beginner lesson and was taught the basics by Randy, who was awesome and patient. I liked the slow pace of the start but caught on fairly quickly, and moved on to the bunny hill. By the end of 4 hours I was skiing nearly the whole place with my sister and her husband! I love that it was family friendly but not just kids- there was a spectrum of skill levels and types of people, and everyone was friendly!
Very nice smaller resort, great for learning. Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff! The lodge has great food and beverages!
I have been a pass holder for years and love this place! They are a top notch business who plows money back into the resort to keep the experience top notch. Kudos too to the family who runs it, their employees and the food. Three months every year this is my home away from home.
Organized and reasonable amount of tickets sold so theres not a huge line. Two solid hours of fun!
Took the kids here for a family night of fun.. They allow drunk people from their bar to tube.Had drunk people in line going up the belt he fell his tube went flying,he hurt my child and her friend..The drunk guy ended up falling completely off. I was told at the top that I had to let them know at the bottom what had happened so that is what we did. At the window all the lady had to say was it was probably people drinking from our lounge area... we walk to our car and these same guys are walking back toward the tubing with a beer in each hand, they stop finish beers and throw away right there at trash in plain sight n walk back in and tube again.. This place does not care about safety and is not a very family friendly place.
Really great place for beginners and professional skiers and snowbaorders. The Polar Bear club is an amazing deal as well. Highly recommended
Great place for some family fun. I am from Florida and have family in Mansfield and was telling them my daughter wanted to go skiing for her birthday, so they said come up to Ohio. Now I said to myself, who goes to Ohio to ski? Well Im glad we did, this place is great! My daughter got a private lesson from Emma, who was excellent! After that she had a blast on the bunny slopes. Second day she took another lesson from Emma and had move to the intermediate slopes. Im not an experienced skiier by any means but I was able to get my bearings easily here and was on the intermediate slopes almost right away. We didnt try any of their advanced slopes, but we had non-stop fun the entire weekend with the beginner area. Definitely worth checking out if youre into winter sports and are near Mansfield. We wouldnt have had a better time some expensive resort in Colorado, and their rates are pretty reasonable!
Excellent service food and skiing for Ohio very well run business we will go back soon there is always great snow keep up the good work on those slopes hope winter stays steady for march skiing.
I love going here! The hills are managed well and the snow tubing is a lot of fun, especially glow tubing at night!
Had a blast with my family! We will be back#
