I love the Ren !! My only complaint is to make the online ticket system easier!! I couldn’t buy tickets online for Cinderella and it kept making me sign up or make me buy a variety pack!! Love the community!! And loved the performance
Beautifully restored theater with great staff and volunteers. We enjoyed the Tusk performance, the acoustics were amazing. Most of the audience were not into it at all, some were not pleased with those of the audience who were l dancing and having a great time, thats their loss. May be subscription, didnt realize, just came for night out. There are two bars, one for cocktails and the other served beer and wine. Plus a place for Cokes, popcorn(smelled great). There is a coat check. Restrooms were on floor and balcony levels.I posted a video online of the band doing 1 of my favorites. We rocked the balcony
I love going to the theater. But the chairs are so uncomfortable. I dont know if the chairs have not been replaced because the building is old but they are just aweful.
This theater is lovely, I always see the most amazing shows here. The one thing I would change is their mask diligence. The staff & cast are fine but I couldnt help but notice a several people in the theater Saturday night during cabernet who were not wearing masks over their nose or mouth during the show. I even saw an older gentleman leave during intermission due to the lack of mask wearing during the performance. I love this place so I want to give them 5 stars but it was super gross to watch a coughing old lady in the middle section of row D pull her mask down to hack during the 2nd half. Great show tho! Hope no one gets Covid! I would love to see them take advantage of the theater doors that lead to the outside in order to increase air circulation
STUNNING beauty! This facility will leave you in awe. The decor is absolutely amazing! The staff is very friendly and helpful. My wife and I attended opening night of the Mansfield Symphony and we were completely blown away. We are now looking into making this a regular event for us. Cant wait to return.
Fantastic show and staff was polite. 100% would go back!
Every experience here is amazing. It is like watching for the first time. A wonderful place to take the family !
Wonderful atmosphere and a variety of shows, performances and on screen movies
These place seems awesome - a real contribution to the community!
The Renaissance theater is allowing their space to be used by others. They are doing this so that other venues that struggle to allow for social distancing can continue to meet. Respectable.
Quality shows, COVID safe, great entertainment
Phenomenal performance. Loved it.
Great time, Just Jazz is the best! Very creative ideas to do outdoor show
I had alotta fun
Just saw At Last: An Evening with Etta JamesMs Webber never disappoints. Fabulous show.Band was top notch. All should be very proudThank you for a wonderful evening
I really liked the history of this little town. Shawshank Redemption was filmed in some of the locations around the area. Fun place to visit. Hip cocktail and coffee joints downtown. Progressive, yet quaint.
Somehow i accidentally hit 1 star! I would NEVER do that. The Renaissance is amazing! Each and every time i go is a night i remember. I fixed it to what i meant to put. So sorry
The only negative experience was a person parked in front of us turned on his headlights and made it hard to watch the movie.
Very pretty theatre .awesome movie! ( The Princess Bride!!!!) Thank you so much for putting one of my favorites on the big screen!!!
Always have a great time no matter what the show. Worth a visit if you are in town!
Great venue! Phil Vassar is a fantastic preformer. If they have more shows like this Im in!
I love this place! We take our grandchildren for special shows and go on dates and double dates for tribute shows and live concerts! Great place close to home!
Great Victorian style theater
Its the oldest theater in town. All original decor. They have excellent programs. Definitely worth checking out. The chandelier is beautiful. Good acoustics.
The theatre setup for the last 3 shows weve seen has been spectacular. And a good mix of out of town talent and locals make for very dynamic and surprisingly powerful performances. Also the ticket office has exceptional customer service -- just be patient when trying to contact as it is a small theatre and the hours are tight, they will get back to you and be as accomodating as possible.
Whatched The Phantom of the Opera silent film. The organist did an amazing job!!! Hope they do more silent films with the live organ. My whole family loved it
I enjoyed the silent film The Phantom of the Opera. The theater was beautiful, almost breath taking.
Its Beautiful inside could use new more comfortable seats but other than that its such a historic place to go!!!
Beautiful old theater
The theatre is really nice. Great place to hear the symphony.
Had a great time ..very pretty places ..very nice staff ..
Wonderful gem in the middle of Mansfield. The local performances are always top notch and the prices are great. The music and comedy acts that are brought in are great too. The building is beautiful and is truly something that everyone in the area should see. Ive never been disappointed here.
I was here for the Elton John experience and it was fantastic! Ive come too numerous shows here and always have had a good experience. The building is clean and so are the bathrooms overall I just dont know why they always keep the lights so dim. I do think $4 for a soda is a little outrageous when we all know that theyre buying them for approximately $0.58 a piece.
Nice shows, friendly staff, the chairs are not super comfy but the prices are usually very reasonable. I definitely would recommend this place to others.
Food is great. Service is great
Beautiful venue with comfortable seating. Absolutely awesome shows.
Always a great time. Great Employees.
Beautiful place. Always fun to go by to.
Ive been going to the Renaissance since I was a kid in elementary school (seeing everything from puppet shows, orchestras, musicians, comedians, musicals, and theatre) and the atmosphere still hasnt changed. Or at least it hasnt changed in a negative way. It still gives off that fully artistic and charming vibe, that I remember. Theyve updated the things that needed updated (bathrooms, concessions, equipment, etc.), but left its spirit intact. The only thing I wish they would change are the seats. As Im a bit older now, those seats are quite rough on the old backside. Having had 2 back surgeries, it would be nice to be able to sit comfortablely in this theater for 1-3+ hours now that my kids are at an age where theyre in shows and such.
I recently traveled to Mansfield to attend Lea Salongas concert at the Renaissance and had a great time. The theatre is fabulous, the lobby looks newly restored and is very spacious and clean. Great selection of concessions and beverages available at good prices, the stand was well-staffed with very friendly employees. I did not buy anything at the bar, but they had a good selection of drinks at affordable prices. The mens room was very big and sparkling clean. The main auditorium is a grand classic house. Seating was comfortable. Inside of the theatre was also very clean. Ushers were quite friendly and pleasant to talk to. Ample parking lot right behind the theatre with free parking. The Renaissance is a gem; I hope to visit again soon.
Beautiful ... considering the age & location, parking was bit of an issue.
Top notch talent. Great shows.
Offer national and local venues. Beautiful representation of historical Mansfield.
We went to see Lea Salonga and hear her sing. She has such a beautiful voice. Also, the Renaissance is a very beautiful theater.
This beautiful theater brings plays to life.
I am from toledo and I just went down for Avenue Q. I was a little hesitant when we were seated on stage. I had no idea what to expect but it was great! The actors were amazing and very talented! I would definitely see it again!
Very enjoyable senior day with friends in a beautiful theatre. So glad it is cared for so well.
I loved hearing the final season concert of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra in this beautiful theater. And the parking was easy, the lot is directly behind the theater.
Classy, old time theater. Great plays and staff.
Annie was outstanding!! I had the best afternoon in years. The little one was adorable. Beautiful and very clean. Thank you
Grand theatre from the 30s. Great place to see a show. Free parking reasonable priced and great staff.
Beautiful facility and great staff!
The Nutcracker was fantastic! So much better than we had even hoped. I would gladly go see this show over and over.
I just experienced a FABULOUS presentation on the stage play of Mamma Mia!! Maddie Beer Penwell is a GREAT SINGER & PERFORMER!! EVERYONE did a STUPENDOUS PERFORMANCE AS WELL!So glad my wife & I were able to share this absolutely WONDERFUL PRESENTATION with our daughter and her three children!!
Had a great time with family and the theater was full. Everything was perfect and it seemed like everyone had a great time.
The symphony was wonderful! I love the music director/conductor! The EnCue app was great!
TSIA is a great annual event and the Renaissnce Theatre is a great venue in Richland county. It is a real gem for our area
Just went to see the play Mamma Mia! It was awesome and they did a great job. Hope to see more in the future. They had The Newsies last year and really hope that they run the production again so I can see it.
Used to call this place home, people are so down to earth so whether you want to act there or watch a show, youll enjoy your time either way!
This is a beautiful theater with great seating all around. You can get tickets for as little as $15, and the seats are still pretty good. The theater itself is lovely to look at on the inside. There are also concessions within the theater, which are priced about the same as other concessions. All around, a great place
Beautiful renovated theatre. Such a gem in a smaller town. Great shows, performers, symphony performances, etc.
Loved the personel, its location and the history behind. Thanks Renaissance for keeping its legazy in the entertainment field alive.
There is never a bad seat in the house! Its known for its beautiful, picturesqe historical features but comfortable as any new modern theatre! All shows & entertainment in this place is a forever memorable moment for those performing on the stage and audience who watches!
My granddaughter and I had a wonderful time tonight at the Premier party. Thank you.
One of my favorite places to go. I love theater productions, and the Renaissance has so much history. Be sure to read ticket exchange policy before purchasing tickets. They put on performances of all kinds throughout the year, so keep an eye on their schedule to see what might interest you. I highly recommend a visit here, especially if you have an affinity for theatrical performances.
I went to a comedy show and it was outstanding.
Usually good orchestras Christmas time is a good time to go
Love the atmosphere and memories made when I come here. Amazing
Very clean, impressive building, nice venue, free parking
Beautiful venue. Well maintained for its age.
The service and food is very good
Awesome show, rock of ages
We went to see A Christmas Carol when my sister was in town from Texas. It was excellent! The theater was comfortable, the cast was very talented, and the staging & effects were entertaining and engaging. I cant say enough great things about the show!
Just watched NEWSIES for the second time and it was amazing again. The talent here is outstanding all around. So glad we have such a nice local theatre to attend. If you havent seen NEWSIES its a must.
The show Mamma Mia was fantastic. Great cast.
Great musical play.
Great comedy show, beautiful theatre.
The Renaissance Theatre started life as the Ohio Theatre and was built as a showcase for Hollywood premiers. Its design, architecture and opulence point back to a grander time. After some dark years it was purchased and renamed. For many years now it has helped bring about a renaissance of downtown Mansfield. Classical and Pops orchestra, Broadway, tribute bands, youth productions, and others are on the bill for each season.
Very ornate, beautiful architecture. However, very small, uncomfortable chairs. Difficult to set in very long. Also very little leg room between rows. Inadequate parking also.
Its a nice place to go for live performances. Prices are fairly moderately priced. Seating is fairly good to be able to see a good performance.
Been there many times for concerts and local activities
Nice theatre. Professionally ran. Saw Sawyer Brown what a show. The volunteers there are so helpful and nice.
Beautuful....amazing talent...so excited to aee what is to come!
