Went to cut through the Skatepark today and found it fenced it. A big excavator was parked out front. Couldnt find anything on the web on what is going on, but it is definitely closed for a while by the looks of things. 10/30/18 Called the Parks Department for the City of Manchester NH and they told me it is under construction. No time line for how long the Park will be closed. 11/7 Went by again and the skate park is all torn up. No idea if it is going to be replaced at this time. I talked with the workers a few days ago and they didnt know either.

My sons really like this place, its a great way to spend a day outdoors. Although the city should donate some time and a little bit of money to help with the upkeep. It needs to be repainted, but other than that? Its a great hobby and good way to keep kids out of trouble

It’s such a shame that this park is constantly full of broken glass and trash. Over the last 10 years it’s been a constant site of drug and gang activity. As a former skater, I know the value of a place that’s safe for kids to enjoy this sport, but this is far from that place!

Wide open skatepark that is free and never crowded but weathered pretty badly in some sections. The ground suface is fairly smooth but areas near the coping are falling apart. Bring a broom if you want to skate the whole thing, theres always leaves or trash collecting in the corners. If they redid half of it into a modern street-course, covered it somehow and added timer lights it could be awesome. Thats the only hopeful future of outdoor public parks, especially in rainy climates.
