Melissa and her family run a fantastic bed and breakfast get away! I have been coming to this amazing property for eons now. First as s newly engaged New Yorker who was quickly hooked to have my special wedding day here. The 1996 wedding was sublime and the Inn was able to accommodate all our family and friends who made it a full weekend of biking, hiking and festivities. Since then I have been back a dozen or so times with the kids and also for romantic weekends. You can not go wrong with the art-filled grounds, or the near by activities. Highly recommend! There is something for everyone; there is a main guest house but plenty of out buildings which are great for hosting larger family gatherings. They also own a large mansion down the street which is perfect for hosting retreats or reunions.

Melissa was very accommodating and communication was easy and seamless. We were a group of 12 with kids ranging from 2-8 years old. We stayed 4 nights and there were enough activities to keep them busy. We loved that we were able to split our time between tennis, badminton, hiking, insect catching, catching critters by the brook, bicycle riding (NY/VT border), swimming at the pool and horseback riding nearby. The weather was a bit chilly but we came prepared with wetsuits and kids were able to enjoy a few nice swims. When the sun shines, it is very strong by the pool which warmed us up quickly. The complex has great outdoor space and we felt we had nature to ourselves. I can see this could be a great place to spend winter holidays in.

We were lucky to get a couple of weeks outside of NYC to stay at the Wilburton Inn at the end of the summer. We had family for the first week and good friends with us the second week. A total of 5 adults and 4 kids the whole time. With room to spare. We stayed in the Equinox Views Villa, which was a very spacious and comfortable 6-bedroom house situated in the nicest spot on the property. The outdoor space for sitting, dining, BBQing and building a fire was the absolute best - overlooking the expansive grounds and the mountains surrounding the property. To be able to wake up and see the gorgeous vista each morning and then hang out among the beautiful nature each evening was good for the heart and our souls after being in the city for many months. The house had everything we needed for cooking, cleaning, and hanging out together. The pool and ground activities were really nice and well maintained and we used them daily. There are lots of family friendly area activities (even during Covid) which were easy to get to from the Manchester area. And some incredible restaurants and good grocery stores just minutes away from the Inn made it easy to eat well. Melissa was an exceptional host - checking to make sure we had exactly what we needed and sharing the beauty and history of the property with us. She even took us to her family’s nearby farm which was one of the biggest highlights of our vacation. Our whole group felt very well taken care of and safe in the Wilburton. I will definitely come back and excited to see the glory of the property in the different seasons. It is a very special place.

The staff was beyond friendly- we will come back simply because of the experience here. What a wonderful family owned place. The hospitality was unparalleled to the point where we commented on how we loved the fresh baked bread they served at breakfast and they sent us home with a loaf of it! Just a beautiful place with a beautiful vibe. We will be staying there again!

Friendly service. Comfortable room. Atmosphere around grounds somewhat odd: philosophy of owners obtrusive, with statement of their beliefs hanging from tree outside our door, brochures, display under glass in table in main living room, shrines and didactic statues scattered around grounds etc. in our room, no glasses or cups or utensils. Nice little kitchen but no way to use it. Just little plastic cups for coffee machine—maybe appropriate to roadside motel but not to nice inn. When asked they brought some cups and bowls in very nice wsy, but room could have been better equipped to start with. Breakfast very nice but 8;30 a bit late to start service. Very nice place overall, wonderful views, but not to everyone’s taste.

I am so incredibly happy we chose The Wilburton Inn for our wedding. We chose to schedule it over a holiday weekend so we’d have more time to celebrate with our family and friends. The entire weekend (and even the planning leading up to it) was absolutely perfect and made so special by not only the beautiful landscape, but by the efforts, thoughtfulness, attention to detail and absolute care by all at The Wilburton. Our coordinator Meesha was attentive throughout all the planning and an absolute professional throughout our celebration. She was truly dedicated to ensuring we had our dream wedding. Our guests lodging took the greater part of 4 of the houses on the property and each guest stated they had a great experience. We hosted a welcome party the first night and the charcuterie display was amazing, the second day started with a great breakfast for all and pre-planned leisure activities. We ended the day with a bonfire complete with apple cider donuts and a bar. Our bartender was an absolute delight (and we were so excited to learn she’d be bartending at our reception the next day), she really was great with a crowd of all ages. We had a rocky start with the weather, but as soon as it was clear enough Meesha made sure the fire was roaring for all to enjoy! I can’t say enough about the wedding day. I said before, but it bears repeating… it was absolutely perfect! Meesha had been coordinating in advance with all our vendors and it really showed how much effort she had put in prior to the date. It was seamless and amazing. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and my husband I can’t imagine the day being any different. We plan on traveling back often to enjoy the beautiful scenery and friendly faces we grown to love at the Wilburton!

This is a beautiful old mansion... exactly what we were looking for for a short get away. Our room had a wonderful view, and the staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic. My only complaint is that the website indicated that it was a short drive to Stratton ski area, when in fact it was about a 25 minute drive.

Nice place to stay. They over deliver on breakfast which was amazing and everyone is extremely friendly and accommodating. The only critique I would have is their website over sells a bit. I thought they made fresh bread every morning. They get fresh bread delivered. In a few things I had higher expectations but overall we enjoyed our time there and created great memories. Their dog was awesome.

This was our first trip to Vermont and our first extended road trip with our 60lb lab mix Rocky. Melissa, Jetson, and the entire staff made us feel like weve known them all or our lives. They treated Rocky like a guest pampering him with snacks and pets, and welcoming him basically everywhere except other guests private rooms. The inn and grounds are spectacular, yet inviting and cozy. The daily breakfast is dog friendly, truly a wonderful meal, and the view from the room brings the surrounding mountains almost to your table. We stayed in Strawberry Hill Villa, which has several private bedrooms/baths with a common living room, laundry, and kitchen. It was perfect for our five day stay. We also enjoyed exploring Manchester, hiking Mt Olga and Equinox Pond, and visiting Hildene. In short, we cant wait to return. The Wilburton Inn is more than dog friendly, its dog heaven.

The property is amazing- very scenic. The facility needs something though. ...I get that it’s quaint and old but very eclectic art around the home and grounds made it feel a bit of an oddity for me and the inside needs some updating. Carpets are old and dead flys seen about the breakfast dining area. Expedia also made it sound like the placed served dinner—not the case. The staff were amazing but no staff is on duty at front desk for late arrivals or over night, so after 6pm you are on your own. I found that odd. Was only guests in main house and they never told us —that felt weird. The room was ok...we basically had no view from our bedroom window which was disappointing as the surrounding area is amazingly beautiful. A building ledge was outside our window blocking any view of grounds. The room had lots of extension cords which made me feel, given the age of the home, it was a bit of a fire hazard and what if something had happened? No staff at front desk to assist. A/c were individual to rooms and were window units.Rooms did have smoke detectors though.Bathroom faucet dripped all day and night and shower drained out long after it was turned off for a few seconds.....to hear water we thought a pipe had burst.Doesn’t seem like much money is going back into improvements/updating the house. I read in a review that there were tennis courts there....no one said a word. Never saw them.

To celebrate my 50th birthday my friends, family and I stayed at the Wilburton for a week. The staff was AMAZING and so accommodating. I wanted to do a LARP (Live Action Role Play) and they were more than helpful - letting us use their basement, attic, common rooms and grounds to turn into the D&D type world we needed. The place itself already lent a lot of atmosphere, with the art around the property and the elegant Inn. On Friday the Inn was host to LARP characters fighting each other with nerf guns and Saturday it was transformed to a stunningly elegant location for a formal ball with red carpet and all the accessories I needed to make it very special. The food was also delicious and again they were very accommodating with the numerous different food requirements from food allergic friends to vegetarian family members. I requested that we have high tea two evenings and they bought lovely tea settings for it and the chef spent 9 hours making delicious clotted cream to go with the scones. This is THE place to go if you have a creative spirit that wants to express itself in a lovely, nurturing environment.

Our wedding at the Wilburton Inn last weekend was absolutely perfect. We created a weekend-long celebration, including rehearsal dinner, bonfire and wedding, to maximize time with our friends and families who came as far as Israel to be with us. We took over almost the entire property for the weekend and all of our guests were so impressed with the room accommodations, beauty of the property, and outstanding service provided. The wedding events went off without a hitch and it was such a warm, wonderful time that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We found the Wilburton late in our venue search and from the second we stepped into the Inn, we were sold. But we didnt know that we would end up with so much more than a beautiful venue, wed make new friends, and find a place that we can visit for many years and hopefully bring our families back to. Wilburton Inn is not a cookie cutter place, and its not a wedding factory. It is a completely customizable experience that allows you to create your unique vision against a beautiful backdrop, with a family and staff that truly put their heart into the entire process. They were flexible, immediately available to fix any issues, and just went above and beyond in every way to make sure our wedding was perfect. It wasnt just good service, it was genuine love for their property, their craft, and the relationships they build with their guests. We cant wait until the next time were able to return and thank them so much for the unforgettable weekend and picture perfect wedding.

We found a piece of candy on the floor. I can understand if it was in a weird nook but this was visible as soon as we walked in. Also, the mirror had stains and smudges on it. One of the sheets had a lipstick stain on it and the sheets were yellowish. Also, the wall paper and carpeting were very dates. The hot water wasnt working on the day we were checking out. The staff graciously offered us to use the main building to shower but we decided to wait until maintenance arrived. What we didnt realize was it would take maintenance 2 hours to arrive. We didnt mind waiting 30 minutes for someone to arrive but there should be no reason it takes maintenance 2 hours to arrive. The front desk did give us 50% off the final night. We greatly appreciate that, but we think for the price, the room could be a little cleaner and newer.

Time at The Wilburton Inn was spectacular. My family stayed arrived at the inn on a Sunday and did not want to leave. We were welcomed from the moment we called to make reservation. The town was near the inn which gave us access to anything we needed from restaurant to toothbrush. We looked forward to breakfast every morning which was not only healthy (choices of eggs and pancakes, fresh juices, fresh yogurt, cereal, fresh fruits, etc...) but was accompanied with great hospitality where the family joined us with light conversation. The pictures does not do complete justice to the sights and the comfort that we had from morning to night; whether relaxing by the pool, playing basketball, tennis, hiking or exploring the museum and sculptures; we also had the opportunity to visit the family farm where we picked apples and tomatoes. Even more spectacular was the Wednesday Festival where we were served with FRESH, DELICIOUS, VEGETARIAN food from the farm, great music, the chance to meet the natives and spend time getting to know the Levis family. We definitely plan on returning as soon as we have a chance.
