Took the blue trail to the summit. Relentless uphill but the payoff at the summit is worth it! Fall leaves and water made it a little treacherous on our hike.

This was a challenging but great hike (we are beginner hikers and were grateful to have real hiking boots given the terrain). The views were beautiful.

Nice hike, 3.1 miles up from the start of the Blue Summit trail. The station and chapel at the top were closed. The walk to the lookout over Manchester was 1/4 mile and easy.

Nice views at the viewing center. Trail to the lookout rock is a little bit tough and the views from the lookout rock is not as good as the viewing center.

The Summit is absolutely beautiful. If you hiked up, the views are a well earned award. You can also take the toll road up. There is plenty of parking. The Visitor’s Center is spacious and informative. There are restrooms, a small chapel, picnic tables, and historical information about the area. There are several hiking trails from the summit. One goes to a Lookout Rock which also has nice views, but the views are better from the summit. There is also a monastery nearby however I’m not sure if any trails head in that direction.

Equinox Mountain is a hard hike but once you finish, the view is breathtaking, it took me around an hour and a half to get up to the top and around the same going down. If you are planning to hike this mountain make sure you start early and pack a lot of water because the mountain is a steady incline the whole way up so dont be surprised to find yourself taking breaks every 5 minutes. I recommend this hike to anyone who is up for a challenge and view that is worth it.

This review pertains to the skyline view drive up the mountain. Very cool experience. It was $20 for the car plus driver and $5 per passenger. For $25, it was well worth it. We visited on 10/13/18 and the foliage was beautiful. What was even cooler was the snow up top. Its a steep drive up with a couple hair pin turns. Up at the summit there was a little visitors center. Its basically a building with bathrooms and a small prayer room. Beautiful views from the top and on the little scenic areas along the way. When you go back down, stay in low hear and try not to use your break too much. The decline can be very rough on your brakes. Its almost worth it to drive all the way up at first and then make all the stops on the way down. Just like the signs will say, give your brakes a break. I would definitely do it again in the warmer months.

Peaceful and beautiful. Fun drive! Amazing views. The smell of fresh clean air among the pines once you arrive to the top. Take in the different mountain ranges. We had a wonderful visit. They have stops along the way to give your breaks a rest on the way down. Enjoy!

Gorgeous mountain ride. Super high elevation so the views from the top are amazing. Totally worth the entrance fee to drive the road to the top. Bring a good camera because everywhere you look is like looking at a postcard. A must visit if your in the Manchester area.

Beautiful! I highly recommend it. For the people who are complaining about the cost, how do you think the monks find money to take care of the roads, guardrails, bathrooms, etc? National parks are funded by the US government. This is private property.

The trail to the peak was beautifully maintained. It is a 3000ft elevation gain, 6mile (one way) hike, but with the useful markings and an accurate map, the trail is easy to follow. The view from the top is beautiful although I was a little early for the fall colors.

Amazing scenery, new road almost all the way to the top, I wish I knew about this place when the Inn was in operation. It must have been absolutely fantastic to stay overnight and watch the sun rise and set from up there on the summit.

Couple of thing to keep in mind. Uphill is narrow and very steep with quick turns. Downhill drive is difficult if you dont know how to drive automatic vehicle in manual mode, downhill drive will worn out your break. Not recommended if you have old breaks installed in your car. There is a fee associated for skyline drive which I guess was $20 for 2 people + 1 infant.

It’s the first time I am in Vermont, and I regret the detour. I had a disappointing experience especially here because:1. It’s way over priced. A car of 4 would be normally be charged 35 dollars! If you don’t think that’s much, be reminded that entry to the world-famous Yellowstone only costs $35. And whose genius idea was it to charge not only by vehicle but also by person?2. The weather on mountain top was bad the day we came. It was in deep fog and we didn’t see anything except some eerie looking mannequins. No food, no view, just fog and mannequins. My point is that the staff should have warned us about the weather, I see that they have surveillance cameras on mountain top so she knew how it looked like, but instead she insisted on charging us money just to let uns drive miles uphill to see nothing. So greedy!3. I would not recommend it to new drivers or if your car is auto transmission. It is very steep, narrow and dangerous road and it WILL wear down your brake when you come down. I have seen smoke coming out of man’s car. Again the staff should have warned man in a more clearly way about the risk but instead they only give you a stick note sized paper and it says: do not ride on your brake. Who even know what does that mean? That’s all I could think of now, will add later...Allgemein gesagt: sehr schlecht und nicht sehenswert.
