The facility itself is good, lots of guns on display in a glass case in the center and plenty more on the wall. Staff are nice and friendly even if you dont have any experience they are willing to help. The range is nice as well, good target sender/retriever system and very nice range officers who will help you with anything. First time I was there with some friends a friend hit the target carrier, officer came over and said the policy is that those hits have a fine since the equipment is expensive but dont do it again and everything is fine. When there by myself I had one offer me some help to shoot more accurately. Lastly they offer a free intro to gun ownership class that I highly recommend.

Attended the Intro to Gun Ownership Seminar, that Manchester Firing Line has graciously offered the public at no cost, with my wife and 10 year old son. This seminar far exceeded my expectations by delving into some of the finer points of firearm safety and explaining the complexity of the liabilities associated with gun ownership today. The similarities and differences of the laws and handling thereof of the different states, especially those surrounding NH was very enlightening. The instructor was very welcoming of all questions and I dont believe anyone in attendance was left dissatisfied.Thank you Manchester Firing Line for providing this service to our community!- Curtis Boyden

I really appreciate the fact that the owner here is hiring an excellent instructor and offering FREE seminars. I’ve already signed up for a class and will continue to sign up accordingly. The range was busy this past Sunday and since I am a non member I had to wait 20 minutes to get on. The past two times I went in the last 2-3 weeks it wasn’t as busy. The staff here is a well oiled machine. So I’m appreciative of what the owner is doing here and all the employees that keep it safe and educational.

Finished PPOTH Training with Tom Brown. Once again Im coming away with more knowledge and training than you just cant put a price on. Not only was the class and range time helpful in repetition. Tom makes you push yourself outside your comfort zone. Practicing things you are good at does not make you a better shooter. Pushing yourself to the limit lets you establish the point in which you need to practice so you can a faster and more efficient shooter. Having someone as down to earth as Instructor Tom makes the entire experience that much more enjoyable. If you are a first time shooter, extremely skilled and or have never picked up a firearm, Toms classes are for you. Reach out to their wonderful staff or owner if you have even the smallest question. They are there to help you, minus the snobby gun owner BS ;-).A++++ Must do training from Tom Brown!!! Dont wait, sign up for your class now. Thanks Tom, for everything!

Ive shot at this place multiple times and if you go here to use the range be warned its hit and miss. Ive had good experience with some of the staff there and others are range nazis that are just waiting for you to do the slightest thing and if you dont do anything they will find it and be very disrespectful. After my second and last incident I will no longer go there again. I can pay the same for a bigger and nicer gun range elsewhere and shoot in peace.

I LOVE this range!! I cannot say it enough. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially to the new shooter/gun owner like me, and they offer so many awesome classes! I have taken Basic Pistol and NRA Personal Protection In The Home, and have already signed up for their Practical Handgun Clinic. I came into those classes only having shot a gun one time about 10 years ago, but otherwise knowing nothing about guns, and I have come out of it feeling like I have a fantastic foundation that I am continually building on (with the help of Tom and the staff!). Tom, who teaches the classes, is super knowledgeable and knows how to break it down for the beginner, but also caters to the advanced shooter as well! He sets up great drills to practice on the range and is always willing to help everybody no matter what the issue is. His number one is safety both on the range and off, and makes sure every student feels safe and leaves class knowing how to be safe at home.Although obviously my favorite part was the live-fire portion of the classes on the range, the classroom portion is still enjoyable as well as informative! He makes it fun and it really flies by!I have loved every minute of being here, so I became a member of MFL and I try to go at least once or twice a week to practice and get better and just spend time with some amazing people. The cost is very affordable, as well. I 1000% recommend MFL and their classes for anyone looking either to get into being a gun owner and wanting to know how to safely do so or even just for seasoned shooters looking for an amazing range to shoot at!

Took the NRA PPTIH course with instructor Tom. Lets just say I will be continuing my education/training with Tom and his team. Not only was the class knowledge a great refresher but the training on the range was well worth it on its own. Our 14 person class ranged from early beginner to well trained. Toms method makes it fun for everyone. Youre not out of your league if youve never shot before and its not lacking if you shoot all the time.I am an avid weekly shooter and I would recommend this class and all the others they offer. You can never have enough knowledge/training when it comes to firearms.Would like to end this with a much deserved Thank You to Tom and his staff for giving me the information and training we each need frequently.Keep up the amazing work Tom!Steve M.

As an employee of MFL I’ve been able to observe Tom’s courses many times. I took Tom’s NRA Personal protection in the Home Class for two reasons; be able to get my Mass LTC and better relay to our customers information about Tom’s courses. Tom has a long-standing reputation in firearms training and experiencing. Myself, coming from a background of law enforcement and military training, I felt refreshed and updated. You know the saying, “You can’t teach and old dog new tricks”? Well this old dog learned a few new things from Tom. His engagement is friendly and tailored to each person with the goal of making you feel comfortable with firearms, getting you on target with accurate shooting, and providing confidence in the use of force if ever needed. For anyone who has a firearm for self defense, whether you plan to carry, already carry, or it is just for home protection, Toms NRA Personal protection in the Home Class course is a must.

I started going to MFL less than a year ago. After a few visits I decided to pay the $190 for membership. I took my daughter to the range. We had a great time. The range is well lit, well ventilated and safe. Each booth is separated from the adjoining booth with steel plates to make them bullet proof. The front area is also well lit, they have many firearms for rent. A good collection of ammo in case you run a little low. Prices are a little high but not unreasonable for what they are.I paid for personal instruction for myself and then for my youngest daughter. Amy provided that PI and it was amazing. The amount of improvement Ive seen in myself and in my daughter as a direct result of Amys instruction is mind blowing.Quality and style of instruction varies greatly depending on the instructor you get. All of the instructors are competent. I feel that Amy stands head and shoulders above the other instructors in her ability to observe, detect, communicate and instruct shooters, from beginner to experienced. Make sure you ask for the Best when you are there, ask for Amy. There is almost never a good reason to settle.(This review was edited based on private and public feedback from the owner. He did a great job of expanding on what I learned with the trainer. Hes got deep knowledge and experience, and also a great teaching presence. He made the class fun, informative and most importantly, safe. The best part of the class is that you get 2 hours of range time and get to fire almost 20 different guns at least once. Its a great way to get quickly acquainted with the many ways hand guns are so different. I HIGHLY recommend this experience to anyone who is interested in getting into shooting.

My complaint is not with the range, it is specifically with the staff behind the front counter.I went to this range with my wife, and a friend. We asked for, 2 lanes and paid. We received one lane so lost a portion of our shooting time for the same price.I asked what they had for 380 ammunition. I was told that all they had was one cheap brand of ammunition. That is it, one type of 380, and the bargain brand at that. They, in fact had 4 options for 380, i had to lean over the counter and squint to read the ammunition boxes myself. So i requested a better brand. After shooting, i asked the guy behind the counter if he had heard of PMAGs over inserting into ar15s. (i have an issue with one particular mag) He maintained that that problem has never existed as he gingerly inserted the mag into a rental with so little force that the bolt sliding forward would probably have dropped the mag if he were actually firing.Although i was assured that PMAGs over inserting was a non issue, that was not the case. MAGPUL has altered the design of the PMAG M3 to address this issue that can exist on the M2s.The Gen M3 has an over-insertion stop on the spine of the magazine. This allows for more aggressive magazine changes with no danger of malfunctions or over-insertion.So the correct answer is, it can happen with the M2s so handle them a little more gently to prevent over insertion. This is not a place to go if you have any questions, or if you were to need advice or smithing done. This is the place for you if you want to combine your shooting with all of benefits of having an inexperienced child who just wants to end his shift behind the counter. The range is great, and maybe they have more informed employees at other times of day, but the staff behind the counter was a nightmare to deal with when i went.the staff behind the counter didnt look for the product i needed and just attempted to placate me by grabbing the first thing they saw, they didnt give us what we asked for (2 lanes), and they dismissed an actual known problem as a non existent issue without actually having any knowledge on the subject, rather than saying they were unsure. There are better options, and i will likely not be going back to this particular range thanks to the staff.

Review of Range and Classes they offerMFL - The range is clean and well run. range equipment functions well and the RSOs are helpful and keep a good eye out for you and ensure a safe environment. Safety is no doubt a top priority here. This is a perfect option on week nights as weekends get really busy.Special attention to James and Paul who are both really friendly and extremely helpful. Thanks!Instructor Tom Brown - Tom makes his classes really enjoyable. The Personal protection in the home and Outside of the home are exciting opportunities to do training you typically do not have the chance to. The range time is unique drills designed to give you the ability to: use one hand, draw from a holster, shoot on the move, and a bunch more. The class provides you the ability to try a different assortment of firearms both from lane hops with your classmates and from Toms personal collection, which is very generous. There is a significant amount of Class time with these courses but they are done well by a natural educator. Legal cases are cited well and are typically local. These classes offer a significant value. This fact can not be overlooked. The class time paired with the range time all with a very trained, reasonable, and patient instructor makes the $ cost seem well worth it. There is a fair amount of time you need to dedicate to these training days, but there is value in the offerings by Tom.

Definitely a great facility. I have been here a handful of times to shoot, and each time has been a pleasure. Sometimes there is a long wait time, and sometimes I get lucky and have no wait. Just depends on the time of day. I am not a member so I dont get the privilege of using the members lane (really the only thing stopping me from getting a membership is my lack of time to shoot on a regular schedule). One thing I can speak of is the gunsmith service. They have a guy on-site who works on Glock firearms (they are popular, but not my type). I have a Sig and had brought it in one day, and they told me to email their dedicated gunsmith who is a guy who comes by once a week to pickup and drop off firearms he is working on. I had them install some sights on my Sig and it came out great. Mind you, I did not buy the gun or sights there - so I think it is really a convenient service for anyone. It would be nice if you guys had someone on-site to work on Sig handguns (my understanding is they are pretty popular around here, with all of the Sig related stuff in NH already). I havent been in to shoot here in almost a year, so that may have changed. Need to stop by again sometime soon.Cheers.

Not using firearms since my military days I spent hours on the internet watching videos and reading countless reviews on handguns, ammo, gear, etc. prepping for the time to begin my journey into firearms. I started with the free Intro to Gun Ownership Seminar at MFL. I took the class over the summer with Tom Brown. As an instructor in the aviation maintenance industry in a previous life I understand the preparation & knowledge required to instruct technical subjects. The quality of Toms presentations shows he knows his stuff (in spades) and is fully prepared to keep the class focused and entertained. I just took the Basic Pistol course and Tom came through again. A great course. I came away much more comfortable and confident handling firearms. The highlight for me was the lane swap part of the range time. In unison, students swapped shooting lanes trying the smorgasbord of handguns in each lane, 12 in all from .22 cal to honkin 357 revolvers shooting 38spl and everything in between oh and a shotgun on the 2nd night. The differences between them all were eye-opening! Looking forward to continuing my journey with the Personal Protection In The Home course after the holidays. While this is my 1st experience with firing ranges its pretty obvious the MFL is a well run, professional organization. The facility is spotless and the staff were more than helpful (and patient) answering my questions. Two thumbs up!!

Not a good range. After we waited for 30 min for a lane, more than half the member lanes were open with many people still waiting. Only 8 public lanes, the other 8 are members only. Had a group of 5 and told us we werent allowed to take 2 lanes at once when we had multiple guns per each person. I had one employee that was helpful with one of my firearms as it was an antique that I inherited. Kudos to that guy. Overpriced for what it is, also how long you are charged for staying there is variable depending on the person. You might get over charged or under charged. Take your chances I guess.EDIT.... Staff is very friendly and thorough with gun safety and teaching shooting. We even got to try a full auto MP5 (they had a few full autos for rent too). CAREFUL WITH BRINGING YOUR OWN AMMO. For the past 2 years my son and I travel an hour and a half from Maine to Manchester, NH -- on a somewhat regular basis -- to attend Thomas Browns firearm training at MFL.At one of our early events, Tom asked why we made the trip. Surely there was quality training available closer to home? The simple answer is that MFL and Thomas Brown are the best.Weve attended several classes multiple times, and always appreciate the fact that Tom keeps the range drills fresh and new; its not an exact repeat of the previous class, but always a slight twist that keeps it interesting every time. That takes a lot of effort, and it delivers a lot of value.Lets say simply: Without exception, every training event has been well worth our time and money. This weeks event (CCWs Role in an Active Shooter Situation) was no exception!Like previously attended events, CCWs Role in an Active Shooter Situation was a proper mix of classroom and range time, sharply focused on the topic at hand. The classroom time focused on safety (always first!), situational concepts, and understanding the nature of the threat. Real-world stories are held up as super-high value as points of reference, which help us to deal with the complexity of the unknown unfolding into the present. The 2-hour lecture was over before I knew it; I lost track of time. That’s a measure of how new and engaging the content was, I’d say. It’s a profound understatement to observe that the range time -- drills that carefully build on the concepts introduced in the classroom -- is the BIG attraction. We left hungry for more, and will repeat this class with enthusiasm.Mr. Brown, your students want more of what you have on offer. In my opinion, there is no higher accolade.

While dealing with Jake and his staff can be very informing and educational the best part is they ALL take the time to make you feel like the most important individual they deal with all day. Tom, the instructor working for Shooters and M F L is very animated and shares his knowledge extremely well. Go in and ask what you want/need to know. You WILL get the CORRECT answer.

We hosted my sons Bachelor Party at MFL this past Saturday and had a fantastic time. There were seven of us in all with varying degrees of firearm knowledge. Amy led the group. She really took charge, spoke clearly and with authority, but was very friendly. John stepped up to help her out. He was especially great with those of us that didnt have much handgun experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable people. Ryan was very helpful with the planning stages, too. I planned most of it over the phone with Ryan. Great group of people. Everyone we met was an Ace.The facility was spotless, air conditioned and had great lighting. Already planning my next visit.

The Basic Pistol class was exactly what I needed. I am new to gun ownership and this was a great introduction to the various laws and practical safety and handling lessons. During range time, we shot several different guns which was very helpful. Thomas is an excellent instructor and delivered a lot of information in a fast-paced manner which kept your attention. He provided many real-life examples and very helpful tips on shooting and the different types of guns. There was a lot of hands on activities with different guns. Highly recommended class.

My wife and I just completed our third class with Tom. The Personal Protection Outside the Home was very informative. There was a good balance between class and range time. As usual, Tom reviews and stresses safety and the laws relative to carrying and protecting yourself outside the home. The range time was spent practicing moving, shooting from cover, shooting while falling back, etc. Skills acquired in previous classes are further refined in this class. As usual, we very much recommend any of Tom’s classes.

This is a nice shooting range with great staff. They offer rentals and classes and its a good place in general. My only issue with this place is all the people that travel here from MA that are unfamiliar with firearms and safety. I got flagged twice there by dumb people who did not know how to handle guns and it scares me a little. That being said the range officers always act quickly and remove the violators fast. They are professional the range officers but it still makes me uneasy to be around the people who are going there to make facebook videos and act like they are Gangstas and take pictures with guns they do not own and can not shoot.Again not a reflection of the range itself or its members but the novelty shooters or come up from elsewhere.

We walk in 10 minutes after they open and are immediately greeted by am employee saying Its going to be an hour or more wait today for the range!. Thanks for wasting our time, we will just continue to do what we always have and go to Belmont Firearms where they at least have the decency to say hello to you as you walk in. They also seem to have mastered the knack of not making people wait hours to use their facilities.A couple suggestions for improvement......let people reserve a lane online before they drive and drive just to have you screw them over. You should also post your forms online so they can speed your process of getting them a lane instead of wasting more of their time there filling out paperwork. The last thing you might try is catering to locals rather than Massholes. It was amazing how there were 5 or 6 cars in the parking lot with Mass plates, yet locals are told as soon as they walk in the door they have to wait hours.

My friends took me there this weekend for my bachelor party. We had a great time. As with any gun range that you are not a member of, there is a bit of a check in process. However, the staff was friendly and moved us right through. The facility is large and well maintained. Everything is very state of the art. The best part is the large range of full auto rentals they have. We rented the M4 SBR, man it was awesome. Would love to go back, worth the trip all the way from Cape Cod!

We went here for my husbands Father’s Day gift. We go in and do the paperwork which was no problem, not a long wait time which was great. My husband has a brand new firearm which is why we were there, to test it out and see how it performs. The lady Amy, gives my husband such an attitude about how it’s a brand new gun and is convinced it’s going to have problems, mind you the gun preformed perfectly. She acted like my husband didn’t know what he was doing and was trying to upsell an information course which he didn’t need. We then go inside the range and do our thing and have a blast. Just as we finished with the last round the safety officer comes running over in panic mode and takes over our lane and we didn’t know why. He then tells us we hit the ceiling multiple times and hit the carrier multiple times which was not true. He also just got into the range area as he was in the shop part before hand so he didn’t see us shooting. They have you start shooting on cardboard that is already been shot at before you start so there’s no way to prove who is hitting the carrier and such. Luckily we were done with all of our rounds and we’re ready to leave and we won’t return. We will go to the Hudson range from here on out.

My daughters and I just took the MFL Basic Pistol and had a wonderful time. We had the opportunity to shoot a variety of pistols and even a rifle. Tom, our instructor, had a great sense of humor. He made the course fun and engaging. Tom taught not only gun safety but provided information on storing, cleaning, laws in various states, and other helpful tips like how to find the right pistol for your hand and needs. I would highly recommend this course. The people working at the range were very helpful as well. Great experience!

Recently stopped in just to test a couple different kinds of ammo. staff was knowledgeable and respectful. wait time was a little long but where isnt it? when i made it to my stall no one was hovering over my shoulder telling me what to do or how to do it like countless other range safety staff would. ill be coming back soon to have another pleasant time. i would also recommend to any first time firearm owner, no one at this store/range will treat you different. in addition the business also offers comprehensive firearm safety classes which is always worth checking out.

This Place is awful. I drove an one hour and a half to get the worst experience I have ever had. First of all, I walked there and I was not given any explanation about the rules in the range. I am a beginner and I accidentally hit one of the metal things that holds the target and I was charged $25, which was not explained to me before I started shooting. On the other hand, the safety manager had not control over his emotions by reacting rude a showing signs of violence . He aggressively took the rifle away from my brother in-law without a warning and kicked us out just because my brother in law hit the metal that holds the target. This type of behavior from the safety staff shouldn’t be accepted in a shooting range, However, we tried to get an explanation from the manager on duty, which was Paul and he shut us down. Paul does not have ethics to be at that level of management.MmmmmmI do not recommend this place to anybody because racism and discrimination took place

I just completed the residential rifle clinic with Tom Brown @ MFL. Safety was the underlying message of the day with trigger discipline and safety engagement reminders throughout the class. Tom and Kevin did a great job of keeping this fast-paced class interesting. We engaged in various scenarios including hostage situations and sniper role playing. We were also given an opportunity to try out other rifles. Tom is a master at his craft. I found him to be evenly balanced between professional and engaging. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend taking this or any of his other classes. I also recommend bringing along a handgun and holster, as is suggested.

I was diagnosed with lupus a few years back, and it limits how active I can be. I needed a new hobby to get into to boost my confidence and stay busy. Shooting can be a great option, and this is a excellent place to do it. Highly recommend joining as a member. At first guns and gun ranges can be intimidating. Dont worry about admitting your a beginner or starting with a .22. No one will judge you as long as youre being safe. The place is clean, employees helpful, and prices are reasonable for an indoor range.Be safe, have fun, and improve...

Came here to shoot with my dad while on leave as active army and was disrespected greatly beginning with them picking on me for being only 1 year in the service. Then they constantly picked at everything I was doing for, I guess me only being an E2 in the army. Both rifles I fired jammed, multiple times. The staff, prior service marine fixed my jam but proceeded to firing a few rounds after. He used about half my mag before it was finally fixed, and even though it was a weapon malfunction on their part, he looked at me like he couldnt believe what I was saying when I asked if I was going to have to pay for the rounds he expended. He said of course. I only fired like 3 rounds. He fired 14 or 15 and I said I would like more rounds to replace the 20 dollar magazine that I purchased. He walked off really annoyed and came back 5 minutes later with a replacement mag. If youre in the military and youre going with family or friends to this place for fun, and you havent served a whole term in the service yet, you probably shouldnt go here or its going to be a contest between who did the most for their country. Yeah I havent been in for a whole term but why should you ever look down on someone who even volunteered to join? The staff here is ridiculous.

My husband and I are interested in personal defense and wanted a course that was comprehensive and included range time. MFL provided a great course. Tom Brown was an excellent instructor. The 8 hour class was very interesting and well presented. The range time was well structured and provided a lot of opportunity to fire the weapon in a variety of drills. Safety was stressed and both instructors were helpful and supportive. It was a fun course and I will probably take another as we are both new to the idea of gun owning.

I was here recently with my own firearms and came with a friend on a slow day. My friend also brought his own firearm.I believe the hourly rate for range time was $18.The range was slow, and we were forced to shoot on the same lane, even though several were available. When I inquired if I would only be charged $18 for the lane for the two of us for the hour, I was told that it is up to the range if they grant separate lanes, but that they could put up to six customers on the same lane. All for $18 per person per hour. Very sketchy, as what would usually cost less than $20 now cost almost $40 simply because we walked in together. I felt that the employees were condescending, telling me about the $50 per round of steel core ammo fine that I would incur, assuming that I was unfamiliar with the ammunition that I owned and brought. I had them run a magnet check so that there was no chance of a surprise charge at the end of my visit. I felt ripped off, and will never return again. Never in the years that I have been an enthusiast have I heard such an obvious attempt to take money from people.

I took Tom Browns Practical Handgun Clinic this past Friday and it was so much fun. Ive taken a number of his classes and each time he doesnt disappoint. I have previously taken this class 2-3 times and each time you take any of Toms classes youll never get the same class twice. There will be new drills, or the order of the drills is different, or he changes up the focus of specific drills. Its not only a good time; however, he teaches you valuable skills that will be needed in a real life situation. I am always recommending Tom to anyone that asks about training and will continue to do so
