A silent peaceful place. A lot of ducks, geese and swans. The pond has two high fountains, and it is surrounded by a small forest. Around the pond there are many benches, also it has few picnic tables.

Written on: July 24th, 2020 |Fellsmere Park is a perfect location for walking, jogging, or simply spending time overlooking the water. I will breakdown several aspects of the park, so that you are able to see what you are interested in.PATHWAY: The path is smooth, paved, appears ADA accessible. There are some steep hills depending which side you are on. However, the pathway does feel a bit narrow, and can be difficult to adequately social distance walking past others if that is of concern.CROWDING: The park is usually not crowded. There is plenty of space to spread out, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.GOOD/BAD FOR CHILDREN?: Seems safe and good for children.ANIMALS: The park seems to frequent ducks, geese, and other birds attracted to bodies of water. They appear friendly, and significantly exposed to human contact. They are not easily startled.WATER QUALITY: Appears that you should not swim. Fish are catch and release.TRASH/LITTER: The amount of garbage present fluctuates, which is unfortunately expected given the parks location in the city. There is a LOW availability of trashcans, and they are often full. I have written to the Medford Parks and Recreation Department about poor availability of trash repositories on July 20th, 2020.OVERALL: A great park with wonderful views and adequate space. 4 stars for litter/garbage present and low availability of trash cans.

Its a small city park but pretty nice park with a pond and a little hill to explore. It takes only about 15-20 minutes to walk around the park so youll have to go a couple of loop if you want to stretch it to an hours walk. The pond is really scenic especially in the spring and summer when there are plenty of wildlife.

There are several paved walking paths here, which makes it a great place to walk when the weather has been too wet to hike in the fells. I love the beautiful pond, and I love seeing the various aquatic wildlife. The water is often clear enough to see the snails on the rocks under the water; I have found if I sit still enough in a quiet spot, the turtles will pop their heads up above the surface; I have also found adorable little tadpoles wiggling around in one of the little inlets!
