The Marquee is free to Union members and their guests, plays first-rate movies a little past their prime in a comfortable setting. And you can bring food and drinks in, but be careful about others feelings. I love this place--I am a short person and I can see the screen from wherever I am.
Shhhhh! Pretty well kept secret except among UW students and faculty.
Not a lot of leg room when sitting down, but worth it to see the movies. I wasnt expecting the theatre to be so well maintained and big.
It looks amazing. The whole union south is impressive.
Free movies with several showings during the end of the week or weekend. Usually classics, documentaries, or Indies/themed film festivals. Occasional new movies, but get there early if that is the case.
Watched an Indian movie....was great
Very nice small theater inside the Union and they always play great movies!
My default resting place from Thursday to Sunday every week. Saw 46 movies in 2015 and 31 movies in 2016. If I ever become a film director, it will be because of this place.
Great place to see movies, great food. There is limites seating which means you should arrive early to guarentee a seat but upon being full there was no sign set up outside the doors to indicate it was full. The woman in charge said due to fire regulations the entry way had to be clear which is unstandable but upon inspection there are no lights along the railing which makes it possible for anyone to fall and there two emergency exit that clearly arent labeles. So if there was an emergency theres very little hope that most people would make it out. I believe one woman said the capacity was 300 people.
Nice spot to view some free movies. It usually has extra space and a broad selection of flicks.
Beautiful facility, comfortable seating.
The place is very welcoming
