Almost entirely refurbished and its BEAUTIFUL! They did such an amazing job. Bright, open, clean, all decorated for Christmas. My favorite store is Belks and my wifes is TJs but there are several new stores along with the ones that have been there all along like Pennys. It great for a place to exercise which we did tonight.
This theater is fantastic. It’s always very clean, with great staff. The refreshments are super expensive but that’s on par with every other theater out there. I love that they switched to reserved seating: however to get good seats now, instead of showing up super early, it’s important to reserve your tickets in advance to get those seats!
A little pricey, but clean and fun.
The theater is very nice and the employees are always helpful and polite. I honestly think the prices are outrageous for a movie but that’s probably most theaters now. It’s hard for a-whole family to go to see a movie especially if you want drinks or popcorn. I also don’t like when you have to purchase tickets at the concession stand. If you’re only buying a ticket why should you have to wait for people to buy drinks or candy? Honestly I don’t go out to the movies much anymore just because of the the price...if I wait a little longer I can just watching them from Redbox or something.
Regal is always top of the line with their service and viewing experience. Whenever theres a must see film, I choose to see it opening day at Regal. Whether it be reserved seating or waiting in line for 2 hours, the process is always smooth and sometimes fun.
Wasnt happy with having to buy our tickets at the concession counter. There was 5 us in one group therefore we wanted to be seated together. So when order my ticket and popcorn and drink and paid. So my friends can order their tickets. The guy wants to fix my drink and popcorn. We say please wait...take the rest of our group tickets order so we can be sure we are seated together. Where If we had ordered at the ticket window it wouldve been more efficient.
Probably the worst customer service Ive ever had to witness. Ive never been treated so rudely by a manger. Really sad. But if you manage to get into the theater without having to deal with any of the employees you can still enjoy the movie (hopefully.)
Great movie. Words on bathroom walls.
Nice theater. Big screen. Comfy seats in stadium seating style. The reason for 3 stars is that the concession lines were SO slow. It took 35 minutes to get through the line for a bag of mediocre popcorn.
Bought tickets online and arrived fifteen minutes early for my movie. Lines out the door for food. Waited in line for THIRTY minutes for a single bucket of popcorn and a soda. It appears the theater has combined the ticket concessions and box office. The theater itself was fine after I got in.
The management and set up here is abominable. Instead of having a line for people to buy tickets out front like a normal movie theater, everything has been moved to the concessions area and it moves at a snails pace. Management should really reconsider how they run things and how effectively it functions. Ive never seen a worse run establishment in my life. Dont even think about coming here less than 20-30 minutes before the movie. Youll never get in on time otherwise.
The theater and seating was nice, that is why it gets 2 stars. The flow of people to obtain tickets is very poorly managed, worst I have ever seen. In order to purchase tickets you must stand in the concession line. I was 6 positions back and it took over 37 minutes of standing in line to purchase tickets. Come very early if you want to watch the movie on time. Others came into the movie theater late, after the movie already started as a result.
Not enough restrooms and they let out popular movies at the same time. I also dont like you have to choose the seat before you buy ticket. The seats were comfortable and movie screen was as expected.
Regal is a great theater with clean and updated decor. The staff are helpful and they offer standard concessions. Most recently they have moved to selling assigned seats for viewing, so large parties should plan as early as possible for newer releases to be seated together.
For weeks now they haven’t had staff to purchase tickets. I stood in line for over 30 minutes with all the concession customers only to find that the reason it was taking so long was that everyone was being forced to pick there seats before buying tickets. IT TOOK FOREVER! I’ve reserved seats at a theater before but it was actually a really nice theater. Reclining chairs the seat also vibrates and moves with the movie. This is not that type of theater...
The movie theater itself is fine but having to wait in line at the concession stand to buy movie tickets, pick out and reserve your seats AND buy concessions is ridiculous. You have to be there way ahead of time to get through the whole process. I liked it much better when tickets were sold separately outside the concession area.
The seats were really comfortable which is surprising. It was really clean and the tickets are not expensive. Definitely enjoyed the movie tonight!
If I could leave 0 stars I most definitely would. Waited in line for over 30 minutes at the concession counter just to purchase tickets. I know there is an option to purchase online for a convenience fee. In my opinion prices are already high enough without paying for additional fees. When asked to speak with a manager about the long lines and inadequate staffing, to assist customers. It was suggested with attitude that I wait in line another 30 minutes to speak with the team lead. I have never seen such poor customer service in my life. When you dont have enough staff to fulfill all of your customer needs in a timely manner. Then upset customers should be expected.
This theatre is up to date and has comfortable seating. I have no complaints beside the cost per ticket and a rule they put into place a couple years ago where you cant have masks or props. One of the best experiences I had here was when part 2 of the final Harry Potter movie premiered. There were a ton of people in hats and masks with wands, cauldrons, broomsticks, etc. While being seated and waiting on the movie to start there were 2 groups that started a wizard duel. It must have been thought out and choreographed unless they were improv pros. This was a fun experience but due to the rule that was put in place some years after non one will get to experience anything close to that again.
Really nice theater. Clean with friendly staff and comfortable seats. What more could you ask for.
Very negative experience! River Ridge Cinema now makes you go to the Concession to purchase tickets. We waited so long that we missed all previews and the first few minutes of the movie that was overpriced to begin with! Much better to wait to see at the Venue which has significantly better customer service.
Have seen multiple movies at this theater. Decently priced. Always 9/10 for cleanliness. Staff 8/10 good selection of movies.
Changed being able to get tickets at the ticket booth. You have to wait FOREVER in long lines for tickets!!!! Ridiculous.....not one person I talked with was a happy customer....well probably start going to another theater in town. More affordable, no wait time.
The theater was great and we enjoyed the movie. However, the man sitting in front of us checked his phone about every 10 minutes holding it up enough to get in my line of sight. It was very annoying.
Only place to watch movies really so who can complain? Seating needs to be more comfortable. By the end of the movie my back and bum is killing me. Prices are outrageous as well. But its the price of the theater experience I guess.
Very good nice and clean nothing bad except the food and drinks are very expensive So maybe next time if you can try to bring your own food and drinks
Clean. Good rooms. Sometimes the line to buy tickets is incredibly slow at the concession stands.
Good staff, nice theater.
I dont like the stadium seating. I would prefer to choose my own seat after entering the theater. Having to buy tickets at the concession stand is a major inconvenience. Online tickets cost 50% more. In the future Ill avoid this place.
Ive gone to this theater about four times now. Tonight will be my last. Every time I come in here I have had college students talk the entire movie, several times to the point where I had to speak up. Last time I went in to find my seat covered in trash and food, and once I had to ask more college students to move as they were sitting in my seat. For 13 dollars this theater is a rip off.
Seats are comfy, popcorn is warm. What more could you ask for haha
Unacceptably long lines at 1:30pm on a Saturday. All customers forced to stand in the concession line just to buy tickets, making the lines literally so long they spill out the door into the mall. Lines all move at an equally and infuriatingly slow pace. Its not the employees fault; theyre trying the best they can but there is simply not enough of them. Kiara H. did her best to get the line moving and we really appreciated her, however, despite her best efforts, even though we arrived 40 MINUTES before our movie start time, we did not sit down in the theater until halfway through the previews, nearly missing the beginning of the movie. This needs to change. Now.
I love the confortability of the Regal. The people at the counters r very nice & professional. The movies r ALWAYS clean & in order.I will always recommend other 2 experience what I do whe. I come to movies 4 relaxation.
It’s ok it really needs to be upgraded with better stores. I just went for some fabric and popcorn.
Regal has lost my business for good. Not only are the tickets and food overpriced but the final straw is the assigned seats. Treating you paying customers like they are in grade school. After 2 people spend close to $100 to buy tickets and food and where do you get off telling me where to seat. Ridiculous, I will drive an hour away if I want to see a first run movie or wait till it comes to Venue.
Horrible. After we had paid for our snacks and tickets . They informed me that they were out of the cardboard carrier for the kids snack pack. With out begin offered something else the guy ( dont remember his name) asked for my card and refunded my money. I ask can we just have the snack pack with out the carrier. I was told no everything goes has to be there....... I highly doubt I will ever return to this theater. The prices are out of this world the people are rude( the ones I had an interaction with). Get you stuff together!
Excellent theater. Comfortable seats. Refreshments varied as are the prices. Purchase a large drink you get a free refill.
Excellent service, stellar staff, and an overall fantastic movie-going experience! Would definitely recommend.
The management of this theater is more concerned about confession sales than customer service. They have a fully staffed concession stand and no one at the ticket counter. They force all customers to wait in the concession line to buy tickets, weather you want popcorn or not. They could easily put one person at the ticket counter but they would rather inconvenience their customers. Shameful money grab.
Always have loved this theater. Friendly staff and great theater food and drinks. Very comfortable stadium seating. Its a great place for couples or a family with any age children. They also have a party room you can have birthday parties in. Clean bathrooms checked regularly. The staff doesnt bother you too often while the movie is playing by coming in and checking the theater.
The movie was amazing but the lady told us are we sure we want to watch that movie I just wanted to go there in peace
Lines at concessions are unbelievable.. no one selling tickets out front! Manager told me today it was from corporate! Contact them at Regal Cinemas. Com
This is a nice movie theatre. (There was not a reply button so I am editing my comment, Harriett is the answer :))
I enjoyed watching the movie The Good Liar. Helen Miren and Ian McKelen are excellent in the movie, and there are no slow parts either. It is a good one.
Nice theater but prices are too high for admission and snacks.
Your decision to go to reserved seats without updating to new lounge seating for those of larger size to compensate for sitting next to each is poor business practice. Not everyone can sit comfortably side by side In your old school seats. Please consider non reserve until you fully update your facilities. With little children also. Its not like I can just sit away from them.
Nice staff and clean theater, but there was a half-hour of coming attractions after the movie was supposed to start.
The Staff is awesome! I bought tickets online for Rise of Skywalker thinking it was for this theater in Lynchburg and it turns out for the later show in Roanoke..not only did the manager transfer our tickets to show in Lynchburg..he upgraded us to the 3D version- at no additional charge!Totally awesome Customer service ..that is why I love going to this one theater when I can..best in the business!
The theater was great, but since they have gotten rid of the box office, it takes forever to buy tickets. It took almost 20 minutes to buy our tickets.
VERY VERY pricey and usually dirty/sticky everywhere. Regal in Lynchburg is more expensive then going to movies in a big city, paid newly $80 for a family of 4 with 1 popcorn and 1 drink. Same setup in DC during vacation cost us less then $5 . Sound/video is on point but be prepared to go home feeling like you need a shower because the place is that unclean.
Love, love the theater, wish it was a little less expensive. By the time you buy the ticket, popcorn, drink you have spent over $30. Best time to go see a movie is Sunday around 11 am you may be the only one there.
Need more help are concession stand. Long line. Everything else great
Regal got rid of the box office so everyone who wants to watch a movie has to stand in the food line. Apparently they think standing in line for 40 minutes for a ticket will make me want to spend $5 for a small bottle of water. NOT! Next time Ill wait for Netflix and watch it at home.
My husband and I went to see Infinity War later in the evening. The theater was nearly full so we didnt get as great a spot, but thats okay. What I didnt like about the experience is the ticket receptionist never acknowledging my existence but having plenty of attention for my husband. Her eyes were on him the whole time. She even gave him a nice compliment on his tattoos which I thought was nice, but she couldnt even acknowledge the fact that we were both going to see the movie, she was only telling him to enjoy the movie. Apart from that odd experience, I enjoyed our night out.
Busiest time of the season and the shops still have hardly anyone working.
Nice and hard working staff. Its also kept clean whenever possible. Also has a perfect sound system as well! The only downside to any movie theater are the rude customers who do not know how to behave in public.
Make sure to find reduced tickets. Besides the price this place is super clean and very comfortable seating.
Excellent sound system. Kinda cold...got to have a jacket.Very hospitable & very clean. Excellent place.
Had Same experience as others, wait 30+ mins to get tickets and food now thats ridicules then assigned seats wat is this School lunch?Had wait again to get staff help for find seats couldnt sit wit friends to watch the movie ok then once get to seat someone in the seat I bought so had get staff once again to come over and ask that person for their ticket make them move and they wanted to fuss so we wind up missing bout 35 mins of movie, made us uncomfortable yes I wont b coming bac to this movie theaters 2 tickets 2 drinks 44$ after all that should jus gt refund or something, really bad experience!!!!
Really nice theatre and I love their concession options!
Good day out
Pricey, but snack bar quality, friendly staff, and roomy theatres make it worth it.
Horrible ticket buying experience. I dont know why they switched to having tickets at the concession stand, but its ridiculous. Took forever to get the tickets. Ill be renting movies from now on.
The wait at the concession stand was ridiculous. Standing in line for 15 minutes for popcorn and drinks is absolutely unnecessary, makes you not wanna go to the movies. The ticket window needs to be opened back up.
Awesome theater.. love the moving seats
Great staff, clean, awesome stadium seating.
New seating arrangements are terrible. Waited 30 minutes in line to buy tickets for the show to start on time and my party of 4 couldnt sit together because of assigned seats... needless to say, we said screw the rule, sat where we wanted, and I will not be returning.
Bad experience. Will just wait for the DVD and watch at home. Attitudes of staff was poor. 10 minutes before the movie start, I was told the theatre was not ready. Once inside the theatre, there were people inside that got there 15 minutes before me. Cmon!!!!
Dont know when they started reserved seating but as we bought our tickets in line, you had to choose your seats. I was like...can you just choose your seats when you go in? She said no. No biggie right?? Well we were assigned G 4&5, handicap section as I have M.D. and avoid stairs when possible. We get into the theatre and there are 2 older heavy set men sitting in our seats. There are no other seats on that row side by side for my son and I to sit together but on the seating chart it showed a G7&8 which were the seats of the gentlemen, only....they were non existent!! So, I had to climb stairs and go up to the first seats we could get to. 5 minutes later a gentlemen approaches me with 3 girls and informs me that we are in their reserved seats. Well.... Trickle down effect here. Sorry, I aint moving. I pointed to the gentlemen in my seats and told him I was assigned reserved seating as well but I had to improvise. They moved to the next row behind us and took someone elses seats. This reserved seating is not working out!
One of the last malls left thats still worth going to.
Very nice theatre, But to pricey. You charge ALMOST double what others charge. Please lower your prices to match other theatres and I believe you would have more business.
Always enjoy it! Expensive, but every movie theatre is. Has games, party room, and a photo booth inside!!
Theater nice only one person working concessions when it was really busy.
We of a family of 7 love to come.. but its very pricey!! Then you add cost of popcorn or any food items, way over priced. Families are looking for Fun things to do, but you need to understand is a college town & a lot of middle class families are not going to pay high prices like this... otherwise the place is clean & well run so for that I give it a STAR 5!
A tad bit slow, but still a good place to catch a movie.
Movie theatre is pretty nice. Plenty of screens for smaller population. Tickets are pretty pricey though $14 a ticket normally. Good selection of concessions.
The ticket purchasing process is ridiculously slow! We had to wait in line for 25 minutes at the concession stand to buy movie tickets! Whose dumb idea is that? The movie started before we could get a seat. They need to go back to selling tickets at the ticket booth!
Ive gone to several movies here. The price is quite high, especially considering the fact that the Venue cinema is $2. Theyve got a selection of snacks and drinks, but still very pricey. The seats are nice and the sound systems are excellent.Ive heard some complaints about the arranged seating, but its understandable and I dont mind if it means my group of 3 can ensure we all sit together; especially in popular movies. But what really brings down the score for this place is the fact that they have no one patrolling the movie theaters. Everytime Ive gone Ive had at least 1 person recording the film and a group of people talking the whole time. If youre going to charge $12+ for a movie ticket, at least hire someone to ensure that everyone is being respectful of the experience.
Using the atom app to get the tickets here was nice. The facility was clean and the theaters had good seating. The staff was polite but kind of flat (just going through the motions). I would definitely recommend this as a movie theater.
Have not been here in awhile....was sad to see they had assigned seating now when you purchased your ticket....attendant said they started this August 2019....
Because I my favorite is Call of Wild in Regal Cinema.
The new seats assignment is complicated and unnecessary. The seat numbering is reversed on computer and hard the find with no lights. It there assigned seat price should be different.
This theater is nice, but they really need to think about setting up assigned seating here. The lines get crazy long and busy when the bigger movies come out, especially with this being such a college town. So you just have to make sure to leave extra time before seeing the movie. Otherwise the theater itself is pretty clean and all.
5$ for a small water.. and staff that moves in ultra slow motion.Lines move so slow, if you arrive 30 mins before showtime, youll miss it.They should take lessons from tsa, to make the wait more enjoyable.
Great place for family fun! We saw Aladdin. The chairs are comfortable and the theaters are clean and cozy. Great experience!
Nice theater. Great for the night out.
This is the only good thing in our entire mall! The staff does an excellent job taking care of the place. It is always clean, and they have a great selection of snacks and food. My only complaint is that the tickets are way too expensive. Id rather wait for a movie to go to the discount theater and sacrifice the nicer atmosphere at Regal.
Arrived 10 minutes early for the movie and spent 30 minutes in the line for popcorn and drinks. There were 3 food lines, all stretching out to the doors, and they moved like molasses. We were lucky too make it into the show just as the doors were closing and opening credits starting. My advice: if you want food, come 30 minutes early and be prepared to wait.
I mean, its ok if you like movies and stuff.
Expensive but love watching a good movie on the big screen spend to much money
This place needs a serious update. The employees are friendly (except one person who always seems to have a bad attitude) and try to help everyone quickly. The addition of Atom has made things easier, sometimes. But the seating and such is a little out dated based on other movie theaters popping up, as well as other Regal theaters.
The line was too long and the food was super expansive. How can we improve the movie going experience by having theaters that bring food to us at a good price?
Has an atrium area to hang out in before/ after movies between it and the rest of the mall. Parking can be a bit far tho
Nice and clean, and the movies started right on time. I dont like how pricey movies have gotten, but thats all of them, not just this place. So, overall, great experience.
Movie was great like you can pick your own seat
Worst movie experience of my life. Stood in line 45 minutes or more just to buy popcorn for a 1:00 Saturday movie
Regal Cinemas is my local movie theater, my family and I go all the time to enjoy a movie and some popcorn. Everyone is always so kind and helpful. They do a wonderful job of keeping it clean. I recommend Regal Cinemas if your looking to just get out and have a good time!
Been going here since I was a youngin its got that nostalgic feel to it and its not too big, and not small at the same time
