Hug place full of choices. First time in and was treated like a regular and I like that. Very informative staff. Only down fall like everywhere else ammo is limited. Otherwise it would be a 5 star. Thanks again for the help

The best range I’ve ever experienced to date. As I walked in the door I was greeted and pointed in the right direction to go to the pistol range. You take a quick little safety class by watching a video to make sure you know the safety rules. There is both pistol and a 101 yard rifle range! Prices are great. If you don’t own any guns, no worries they have a huge selection of guns to rent. Looking to buy a gun they have any thing you could think of and a great staff that is educated on the guns.

Awesome experience! My wife wanted to go shooting for her birthday, we had a great time from the moment me were greeted at the range counter. Shooting lanes were clean, and professinally kept. The range master John put everything over top for us. He saw my wife having trouble with jerking the trigger pull, he spent some real time talking her through it and even made a gun recommendation as the pistol she was renting was a tough one to shoot. He even gave us a few shooting instructions after we swapped our rental pistol. We had a great time, I hope safe side recognizes who they have in John, totally awesome guy, great place to shoot!

Shooting range neat, awsome staff and customer service is great. I found the staff to be good in depth and knowledge. The lead instructor I found to be among the best I have come across.

Ran into problems on their website that overcharged me. However, I went in the next day, and worked it out with the staff. Fully reimbursed + a free hour on the range. Great employees with a great attitude!

Visited this range twice with my 11 year old son. Both times I was extremely impressed with the services provided as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of staff. I could not be happier with my experience at Safe Side. It was well worth the money spent for the experience of shooting such a wide variety of guns. Go check it out!!

Been to their soft opening and their grand opening and I must admit, this is probably the best gun range in Lynchburg and the immediate surrounding area. Their shooting range is top notch in terms of quality and ease of use. The staff is very friendly and are very knowledgeable. They have a decent selection of firearm accessories and firearms. Their gun rental counter is really hard to beat in terms of the different types of pistols and rifles at a persons disposal. Their prices are reasonable as well.

Top-of-the-line facility with excellent lane availability. Theres hardly ever a wait to get a lane to be able to shoot. The instructors are very knowledgeable and the staff is very friendly and relatable. Weapon pricing isnt too bad however Im giving this establishment a three star rating because the pricing is outlandish to be able to shoot here even if you have a monthly membership it is still costly. $15 for 30 minutes just doesnt seem that worth it to me, maybe for an hour but all things considered every time I walk in there to shoot I only get 30 minutes of time spend $15 to shoot $15 for ammo $5 for eyes and ears and a dollar per target. Thats 36$ dollars before tax. I think I will stick with Lynchburg Arms.

I’ve been in SafeSide a handful of times. Ive always had good expririences in the gun shop. I have bought ammo, ordered gun parts, and had SafeSide install parts on a handgun. The gun parts took a long time to come in but I was informed it would be a while when I made the purchase. The reason I am leaving a less than satisfactory review is because of the range.This was my second time at this range. My first experience was pleasant. RSO was nice and I had a good experience. My second visit did not go so well. SafeSide is currently running a promotion with LU. The promotion is for $10 all day range pass with 2 free targets and half off rentals. I called ahead to inquire about my upcoming visit. I asked if I needed to pay with flames cash or if I could use my debit card. I was instructed my debit card was fine and I just needed to show them my student ID. When I arrived for my visit I was told I was not able to use the promotion because I had to pay with flames cash. This was frustrating because I called ahead specificslly to avoid this problem. I could have paid with flames cash if I was informed it was necisarey ahead of time.Another issue I have is with their website. They have listed that rental guns are $20 for multiple firearm rentals. What is not listed is that if you want to shoot the MP5 that you need to schedule an appointment to do so. In addition to scheduling an appointment there is a $30 charge per magazine you shoot not including the cost of ammo.I went in hoping to use the LU discount to shoot one of my personal firearms and the MP5. I was not given the discount nor could I shoot the firearm my wife and I drove 20 mins to shoot. I will not be back to the range there and I will pass my bad experience along to all my shooting friends.
