Love love love Kevin. He taught me how to skate 52 years ago. Yes 52...he has known all my family and friends. My son and grandkids have all skated here.

The Skate Ranch was great, I had not been in a while, I was happy to see the owner Mr. Kevin... I love that he updated skating rink the floor felt great to skate on a smooth surface...

Parking lot and building do look run down but inside is clean and the staff is super nice! The kids really enjoyed it and there were so many teenagers but they dont bother anyone. Well behaved kids. I just suggest putting more waters to cool down, cold water is always nice. They were at room temp but ice was given so thats a plus! Will definitely be going back!

Service was great but there was a bunch of kids fighting. Than my husband and I got locked out of our car so it was sent a good evening. Music its a little loud and provocative.

So much fun! If you havent or even if you dont know how to skate you need to go and go here! Its so much fun

Had my 14yr old daughters birthday party there. The staff was fantastic and worked us in last minute for a pretty big group. The pizza was great and I had more fun than I have had in years. I loved that the party included pizza, sodas and paper goods.

I feel like they admit more people than they can handle. Alot of people on the rink at once and it gets really hectic. Cute place though (once you get inside)

It was fun and skating rink is a good size but the space where tables are and you sit and eat was not spacious and hard to get through

The kids love skate ranch. Staff is very friendly. I always enjoy taking them there for Sunday afternoon.

Grew up on skates my whole life and after moving out here from Georgia I wanted to take my kids skating and have fun after a stressful move and found this place and it was interesting to say the least, they allowed the small children like not even on skates on the rink and there was nobody watching it was dangerous not just for the ones skating but also the kids running around off skates on the floor. They don’t have blades only quads and the floor has a lotttt of dips and chips which in a skater world everyone knows will cause you to fall and get hurt it’s in need of a major makeover .

Would have been 5 stars but the grumpy old man is so damn rude!!! Ruined the whole experience. He needs to just let some fun more customer oriented people run the place for him. He himself is the sole reason we will not be back!

Nice place but needs better music

Enjoy coming here. By far not the newest facility but still have a great time. I have been here many times now. Had a childs birthday party here last year also. Reasonable prices. Enjoyed the concessions stand. Had great pizza at a reasonable price. Other snacks that my daughters love too. Went during the day Saturday a little better for my young girls. The night time had many teen boys that didnt show much concern for injuring others while in the hockey area, guessing the attend the facility frequently. But overall we enjoy this place. Have skates for little ones to put on with their shoes, all the way up to large adult sizes.

Nice place but I think this place need more games every hour. It is fun when there is a program to join.We were new here so we try to ask a boy that work here, but he did no aswer, we ask twise and he did not answer.Es un buen lugar pero creo que le hace faltan mas juegos, un programa entretenido.Hay musica .

Never been to this establishment. I was hoping to take the kids here for a nice Saturday evening and called for information. Unfortunately, a VERY rude man answered the phone and spoke over me as I tried to inquire about his skating ranch. The man then proceeded to hang up on me pretending not to hear my questions. Im very disappointed! However, I do not mind taking my money and business elsewhere for our first time in a Lubbock skating rink.

We booked for a private birthday party. They were supposed to show up to let us in to prep for party 30 mins early. They showed up one minute before party was to start. Paid for two hours but before the two hours were up, while my granddaughter was just starting to open presents they had two other parties coming in on top of us and they opened for the public. Wont ever book a party here again. Kevin used to run this place so much better. Staff isnt very helpful. They just herd folks in and out like cattle now and dont seem to care about customer service at all. Its sad to see how much its gone down over the years. But on a good note, we are super excited to find a new place has opened and from what we hear its an awesome place to go for family fun and parties. RIP for the old Skate Ranch that once was.

Took my daughter for the first time. I was disappointed. Walked in and smelled like feet...like mens locker feet. Paid and got shoes that werent kept up. place was old and needed updates. The skating floor looked like cheap marble with cracks all over and huge chips and almost like potholes or craters. that is a huge safety hazard for sure.

Took my daughter to a birthday party there. There were a bunch of middle school kids bullying my kid & her friends, walking around with filth in their mouths & making out on the bench. Theyre not supervised properly & its not a place for anyone under the age of like 14 for this reason. They were being rude & obnoxious & not letting the smaller kids play on the hockey floor & then they were deliberately skating too close to them attempting to knock them down. One of our little ones got her jacket stolen, too. Then, my 6 year old was trying to play a pinball machine & some teenager wouldnt move out of the way. I mean really? A 6 yr old? I had to push him out of the way. I mean its just awful. All of those bad ass kids hanging out there need a good ass whooping. We will not be back unless they get a handle on the trash there.

I like it ... we should be back soon....just the concession stand needs to keep up with food...they were out of alot of items

Prices are reasonable. Owners are helpful and friendly. We had a fundraiser there and, even though the turnout was small, operations were all as usual - no shortcuts. Highly recommend as a family fun day!

What a great time we had . Took my daughter for her birthday. Man it hasnt changed in over 17 years. I love this place. The same people own it and they r just amazing!

Honestly a terrible place, staff there was really grumpy and rude, kids there are very obnoxious, someone stole my skate helper that I payed for, waste of money honestly and this grown adult was bossing other kids around thinking he owns the place, and also the bathroom was filthy, I prefer crazy skates better (:

It was very fun. I love roller skating. The only thing is they dont sell half sizes in shoes. Not sure if they do that in other places though.

Mr Baker is so nice. My son is 3 and he wants to learn how to skate. Mr. Baker was nice enough to show him. We are definitely going back.

I had a great big long review written detailing the whole experience, but I decided that it made more sense to just cut it down to the point, so here you go:They kicked me off the skate floor for wearing Heelys... You know, the shoes with a SKATE wheel in each of the heels? This they did in spite of the fact that they have no rule barring the use of Heelys visible anywhere in the building, including on their nicely printed rules list posted on the doors into and out of the building, AND they let people skate on their own skates and even roller-blades... So why the prejudice against Heelys, hmm? You have achieved nothing but to ruin my day and lose a future customer, not to mention all the other potential customers that I will be talking to in the future.P.S. Invest in some A/C. There is no way that you have been around this long and not made enough profit to spare a little chump change to make your customers a lot more comfortable.

I enjoyed it. It was my grandsons Bday party. My kids are now in their 30s and we use to go there when they were in Jr. High School! The staff that evening was very kind.

I would not go here again. This place is very dangerous and does not enfore any rules.

Its really good for partys, but they dont have scooters or other​ things if you didnt want to skate and cant bring your own scooters and things.

Just called to find out nd he kept repeating 7:30-10 $8 real rude over nd over then hung up..i called back to find out if skates were included nd he ignored my question and repeated the hrs nd price so i had to let him know how rude he was..not even going to try taking my kids here especially with reviews explaining theres a guy being rude..i will take my money somewhere else.

First time ever going there was here for spring break visiting my dad and he was closed and still let me come skate absolutely amazing people so kind and caring will definitely be going again

Friendly staff but the floor is in pretty bad shape and the skates are in poor condition as well. The bathrooms were pretty terrible too. Again, absolutely great people but the facility needs a lot of work.

I have been going to the skate ranch since I was 11 & I still love it. I have a 5 & 6 year old now that I take, theyre just learning but they love it.

We had a blast! it was a family friendly environment and the owner took time to give my first time skater some skating tips .

Facebook and reviews from years ago dont do justice. First time to Skate Ranch. Friendly gentleman. Loved to make make jokes. Me and my girlfriend were the only people with inline skates. So that being said, sort of referenced to that as ice skating and warned me to watch out for water in the middle of the rink. As we left, he gave us a free pass for our next visit.
