When guide Will Riddle steps from the truck the avian population trembles. Dude is straight up lethal to birds.Hunted geese, cranes and turkeys with Will over four years and know him to be a consummate professional and congenial human being. While goose hunting we’ve witnessed him turn flocks to our from a quarter mile off. We stalked a gobbler from a thousand yards using terrain to put us in the bed room followed by some dulcet tones concluding with a lead shot drop flop at 20 paces.Will scouts hard, knows the lay of the land and never mails it in. Hot or cold, rain or shine, windy or calm he puts in the time to provide hunters the best opportunity to drop birds.Will Riddle at Crooked Wing is the real deal; a model for other guides to follow.

The guide staff at Crooked Wing were extremely professional and hard working on our goose/crane/duck combo hunt. Tons of birds, quality decoys and field equipment and dedication to the client is what we were treated to during our trip. Jake, Athel and Will were great to hunt with and I look forward to doing so again.

Great dove hunting earlier in the season. Exceptional Crane and Goose hunt. Top notch Guides and Gear. Highly recommend!

Never actually hunted with these people. Was scheduled to hunt a Wednesday afternoon and they cancelled at the last minute. Then I tried to hunt another day and they wouldnt return my call. Do NOT recommend.

Very poor opening weekend of dove season. It appears that CW did not scout the fields as there were few, if any, dove there. It may be that CW is the victim of its own success, too many hunters and not enough decent hunting spots.

We had an experience similar to that of the previous reviewer.Mediocre hunt on opening day. Pitiful hunt the following day. They put us into overcrowded fields on the second day - so we left early out of fear for our personal safety. Not enough spacing between hunters, very dangerous!Evan Botsford, the managing member, claims to have 50,000 acres under lease or ownership. If thats true, why would he place hunters in the same fields two days in a row?Expressed our concerns to him about overcrowding and he agreed to refund hunting fees for the second day - but later changed his mind and reneged on the offer.Am not saying hes crooked like the name of his company, but he certainly did not honor his commitment.I have dove hunted with other outfitters in central and South Texas as well as the Cordoba and Entre Rios provinces of Argentina and had some wonderful experiences.Unfortunately, this was not one of them.

Crane hunt was awesome! Guide was great and birds were plentiful. Can’t wait to go back.
