Great place to spend your time. Lots educational displays tractors, plows, and even an airplane.
We went as a small group, Everyone seem to have different highlights from milking the animated cow, to the combine simulator, to the harvest reaper and my favorites were the Talking holograms which were very informative.
A stroll back thru time. Blacksmith exhibit is great, lots of old tractors and combines strippers, and an old ag cat bi-plane
My wife picked this place to go to and I was dreading it. I have no interest in agriculture whatsoever and was regretting going. Then we went and it was great.Im an old man but I liked all the hands on displays. It kept my interest up through the entire visit. Also a couple of the volunteers there were great in telling about things and answering questions. I really enjoyed the entire visit.
If your kids love tractors take them here. It is a little hot in the big building but our kids had a great time. They especially loved milking the cow
This was a great experience. Recommended to all!
Unbelievable collection of cotton ginning equipment and tractors. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. Try to catch Mr. John Smith there and have him walk you through the museum. His farming experience and knowledge provides a personal journey through history that cant be beat.
Enjoyed the setup and the knowledge of the volunteer.
Another MUST SEE MUSEUM... thousands of rare Plains area farming implements... Hundreds of presentations... You can easily spend all day at this jaw dropping museum... DONT MISS IT!
This was an event venue for the West Texas Pharmacy Association, for our annual Presidents Banquet & Scholarship Dinner. We love this museum! Both as a museum, and a special event venue. About the mules....they were at the end of their lives. They were not young healthy mules killed so they could be put in a museum display. the other reviewer needs to get her facts straight.
This Museum will surprise you. The vastness if equipment and disclosures are refreshing. We are in farming country but that doesnt prepare you for the high quality you will experience.
This place is so great!! I grew up going to the incredible Ford Museum in Detroit, Mi, and this place is just as cool. My little kids love it just as much as my husband and I do. Immaculately kept, so much to see, and wonderful tour guides! So worth a trip to see this place!
My son and daughter loved it! All the tractors were great and my son didnt want to get off the cotton stripper simulator.
What a beautiful, interesting facility! If you have never been, its a must go kind of place and be sure to bring the kids and the grandparents! Bright, clean, self paced and so, so much to see. Gift shop, huge conference room.. so nice.
This place was really interesting, and I had know idea it was so well put together. I had an amazing time looking at all of the agricultural equipment from the past. Also, I give them Kudos for their section on women in agriculture.I will be back, because theres just to much to take in, in one trip.
Is a good place to see Ag court George stuff
We were in Lubbock a couple of days this summer with our 4 children. We stopped by because this looked like something our sons would get a kick out of it. I honestly was not expecting a lot. We were very impressed the moment we walked through the door. What an amazing place. Everyone we met was so kind and informative. Red just made the entire visit great. Our kids (including teenage daughter) had a great time. There is a lot of interactive displays for kids and adults of all ages. We all learned a lot about and had a great time! What a great place! Will for sure go back and recommend.
Great museum. The pedal tractor exhibit is the best in the country. Really. History and good memories.Even a small playground outside.
Very nice! Enjoyed the experience!
Fabulous Museum! I love agriculture and this is a great place for kids and adults. I go to lots of meetings here and their meeting room is very nice with lots of room for large crowds.
So much to see, a really great collection of all sorts of antiques related to life on a farm. From tractors to covered wagon, home, mercantile, mechanic, blacksmithing, cotton to even washing clothes while churning butter with a lamb Took three grandsons so it was controlled mayhem. Need to go back and take individually for better one on one conversation. We really enjoyed ourselves, great interactives, simulated cow milking they enjoyed most, the hand water pump and driving the Combine simulator were hits. There is a Pullman Train Car tour but our alotted time together was up so next timeIt was really cool to see the Lubbock skyline while having ice cream and listening to great music. Wonderful venue for parties and gatherings I bet.
My husband and I had the most joyful and educational time .2 volunteers by the name of lee Leonard and my apologies as we unfortunately didnt get the other gentleman name had made this so personalized .We could tell they enjoyed their time doing what they do...If you truly want to enjoy a day with your children with out phones ect, take this trip ... from Iowa
History is fun and educational. Everyone was helpful and well informed. Very enjoyable.
Really educational and great staff
Was doing a catering there. Very nice place. Have never been there before.
Very nice place to visit
This was a phenomenal learning opportunity about the miracle of American agriculture. Displays were easy to read, yet filled with high-yield facts about the progress made over the years via science and mechanization. The only downside -- agriscience contributions by Bayers major competitors, like Monsanto and Dow/Dupont were unmentioned. Otherwise, it was an exceptional experience, and the overall rating would have been five stars rather than four.
Very educational, well priced, clean and interactive
Great exhibition and friendly & knowledgeable volunteers. If you have in interest in Agricultrual and/or history it is a must see while in the Lubbock area.
Place is awesome and full of history and so is Red hopefully he has time to give you a personal tour!
I attended a lovely catered event there. The facility was very comfortable. Lubbock is a great place to visit.
We visited from out of town - we were running in the Turkey Trot. Great place, interactive exhibits, & highly recommend a visit!
We had our yearly business meeting for Farm Bureau Insurance. Met a wonderful lady who shared our table and I took a few pictures of the Museum, inside and out.
Great vendor event experience. Very welcoming staff and vendors.
Was here for a symposium. I walked through the exhibits and was very impressed. There are some that are interactive and the restored tractors are very cool.
Awesome history of the agribusiness in the south plains, really cool antique tractors, train car and windmill displays!
We took our 4-year-old there and he had a great time. Huge tractor collection indoors, and exhibits about cotton. Theres a neat harvester simulator too. One potential issue for kid visitors- many things that should be behind glass are not, so you must look out if your little one tends to grab things.
A great museum...everyone should go!
Very interesting. Cool collection of old tractors and equipment.
We all loved it, including the kids. Red River even gave us a guided tour! What a treat!
What a trip down memory lane. Room after room of farming history, tractors, harvesters, toy tractors, tools...so much for the eyes to see, mind to ponder on, remember and bring a smile to your face. Dont miss this diamond. Staff extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
Outstanding
Great tractor display, lots of hands on displays for younger kids, the whole place is interesting, friendly staff.

Cool place and a bad A** Ford truck inside
I never knew this place existed until recently. This is a awesome place to see the history of agriculture. Going there again definitely!
Excellent displays and hands on exhibits.
A lot of good to know/see facts
Nice place to go, alot of history here....
Lots of history and information if you want to know more about one of the agricultural centers of the country
“Really Enjoyed ”Lots of great ag information. Hands on exhibits as well as educational. Really great old tractors and implements
Wonderful place, lots of history and friendly employees.
What a GREAT museum! You must see this well displayed Agricultural museum. Its a must see.
Great museum. Very nice people and facilities.
The museum is a wonderful place to see agriculture history. It is a beautiful facility and a fun trip to take. Deserves 5 stars.
Awesome place to visit.
Great place to hang out at. A lot of history
Its a very fun place to learn the agriculture cultures in West Texas. Kids love this place.
Probably one of the nicest museums ive seen...including Smithsonian..kids live for it
Dont check out the American Museum of Agriculture... they purchased a pair of mules and euthanized them to create a display on agriculture. What a waste, let the mules do their job and teach people in real life what American agriculture is...
Would never visit this museum and sickens me that taxpayers have probably paid for this. You all should be ashamed of yourself and vet should lose license. It doesnt surprise me at all that the Dept of Agriculture would do something so stupid.
Amazing display of farming history
