Our son has attended TEGAs summer and spring break programs for the last 3 years. I have felt really good about the awesome staff working there and they have always treated my son and I respectfully. My wife is usually the one signing him up, but unfortunately she forgot to get him signed up for the last week of the summer. I showed up to drop him off and the staff as always greeted us and I went to sign him in and he was not enrolled. I did notice that this weeks his class was about half the size as the previous weeks this summer. I went in to see if I could get him enrolled and the younger staff member was very nice and appeared to be willing to let us enroll late. At that time, one of the managers came out and in a very condescending tone let me know that they would not accept a late enrollment and insinuated that I should get my act together. I guess she was having a bad day. However, I will be looking for a new place for my son to go in the future. We have spent way to much money over the last few years to be handled that way.
The swimming lessons for my daughter are informative and fill personal even with such a large class
Tega kids camp is a great place for kids in the summer!!! I highly recommend it for all kids! The staff is responsible professional and energetic! It’s full of fun things for kids to do! From movies and parks to bowling, sports and crafts! They have the best programs for kids to do gymnastics and ninja. It’s a kids PARADISE and will not disappoint!
I would NOT recommend taking your children to this facility. In the past, I have had friends of the family or grandparents pick up my child and each time I was told that the staff did not bother to ask who they were, if they would show an ID, or what their relationship was to my child. They just called for my child and sent them on without a second glance or thought as to who my child was leaving with. Their vans are decrepit. They have no heating or air. They do not tell the children to buckle up and I have been told multiple times that the children would slide around in the backseat when the van made turns and my child came home once or twice with a couple of small scraps and bruises because of this. The building is completely run down. Its always dirty inside. Their doors are often broken and were just held together with zip-ties for weeks on end. The parking lot is absolutely horrendous. Nothing but dirt and a few rocks. This doesnt seem like a big deal until it rains and you have to drive through mud and walk through puddles up to your ankles to get inside the building for days on end until everything finally dries. They charge too much for what little they offer and are very inclusive to the more well off parents and families, giving their children special privileges and attention. There are MUCH better options for childcare in town and I would highly recommend going with them instead.
After sending my child for over 2 years I would not recommend to send your child here. Not genuine and sort of get the feeling like they simply put dont care. My daughter would get bullied and had a difficult time changing her class. Then she really doesnt get to much attention focused on her. A little bit of one on one wouldve been great but they have too many kids and they come off as like they dont care. Unfortunately I am currently looking to enroll her elsewhere.
If you are looking for the best Child Activity Center in the Lubbock area, 3rd Level Consulting recommends Tega Kids. Based on our decades of working with Children’s Education, Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Instruction programs in multiple industries and Countries, we are confident in our recommendation.
Both of my kids attend the after school program, summer camp, as well as my daughter is on the Xcel Competition team. I have had them at another daycare prior and wouldnt switch back for anything! The coaching staff truly cares about the growth of your child emotionally and physically. The summer program is AMAZING! They always have fun field trips as well as swimming daily! I highly recommend any services Tega offers as you wont find a better organization anywhere!
Best coaching in town. Kids learn skills with proper technique ensuring safety and successful progression in the sport. Great gymnastics and dance programs. Owners are kind and knowledgeable of the sport and supportive of the kids. Would never go anywhere else.
I would not recommend this facility for any gymnastics. This facility forgets that they work for their clients not the other way around. They will not even let the boys team compete locally and give the Lubbock community the best ability to help spread the sport of mens gymnastics. They also will not save their clients the expense of having to go out of town, incur hotel bills, travel expense, not to mention the inconvenience for their clients and coaches due to their decisions not to compete locally. Management is truly immature. It is apparent that they know that they have an inferior facility to train when compared to their facilities locally and they dont want anyone to know it if they can prevent it. Seems they would look out for the interests of their clients and not their own pettiness.
Love TEGA! My daughter had been going for about a year and she has learned so much! Now she has been selected for Pre-Team! Very proud of the coaches! Miss Ashlynn is beyond amazing with my daughter! She pushes her to do her best! I have seen a major confidence increase in my daughter! Thank you TEGA!!
If you are looking to get your child involved in a truly wonderful competitive team program, look no further. I have found that no other program in the West Texas area can rival the success that this program has seen. The coaches are very invested and are always wanting the children to exceed...and they do! I will definitely be bringing my budding gymnast here!
I really liked how friendly the staff was and they give you a sheet of paper at the end of the day that tells you how your child did, mood, how much they are, whether or not they napped, etc. My child, however, is too scared to go back because a couple of kids were really mean to him and hit him and made him cry. I spoke to the staff about it but I think maybe theres too many kids for them to keep up with and they cant really watch for every little thing.
I kinda like it but there is a huge problem with the mats but rock solid has mats that dont have any tears
