This site is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. Whenever I feel like having a delicious lunch, this restaurant comes immediately to my mind. excellent and varied food and a large list of dishes.great team, and pleasant atmosphere. Also important, the bill is modest. I praise this place with pleasure.

Sushi was good, as well as the tempura and Thai rolls, but do NOT order the chicken satay, if you can even really call it that. There was no seasoning on the chicken besides maybe some salt and pepper, and the peanut sauce was really oily. I also had to wait an extra 30 minutes after arriving at the restaurant for my order to be ready, but I am mostly disappointed in the fact that a Thai restaurant would serve such bland chicken satay. I dont think I can give this place a second chance, but if you do, DO NOT order the chicken satay

This is a great restaurant. The sushi here is great with a lot of different rolls and the specials are always delicious. There are also a lot of other dishes and the Thai curries or fried rice are delicious. There can be limited seating but I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a seat and can always have one of their great cocktails while I waited.

Maki rolls + produce are always fresh. Staff were very busy yet accommodating. At night, lighting may be too dark for older adults with vision problems, but I found the ambiance chic. Affordable and decent portion sizes. I strongly recommend getting a reservation, especially weekend nights. Worth it to try at least once.

We got drawn in by the words Japanese and Thai cuisine and Sushi. The second door is a little jammed in place so it needs a hard tug to open. After being seated, we got our drinks and food rather quickly. We got the bento boxes so we started with Miso soup. From what we had, we were very impressed (and stomachs very full) with Blue Taleh. For a town as small as Lowell, we did not expect this sort of quality. The Miso soup, the sushi, the pad Thai, the satay, and the tempura impressed us with their portion size and flavour. If you are into all the food we listed in this review, and dont mind if the servers are a little cold in manner, this is your destination.

Curry was very low quality, vegetables were barely cooked and the meat was dry.Service was fast, but a place does not deserve a good rating for fast bad food.edit: I was going to be upset at the price but I suppose if I enjoyed the dish that was served, it would have been worth the price.

First let me start by saying the restaurant is majestically sitting in downtown Lowell. The vibe is good; however, my boyfriend and me visited this restaurant Saturday night and the service was terrible. We were assigned a server who seemed lost in her mental world and who clearly didn’t understand what was asked of her. She failed to seek understanding and proceeded to do what she thought we ordered. One, it’s unlikely a Thai restaurant doesn’t have fish oil or Thai chilies. But the server claimed they didn’t at first. Then she said they did. After waiting for 30minutes to get the hot Thai peppers we requested with the fish sauce, another server appeared and told us clearly the restaurant didn’t have any of what we requested. Then another server showed up asked if we were ready to leave which was mind boggling because we were just served our food. We proceeded to ask her for the Thai chilies and fish sauce for the third time. She then brought the lemons and fish sauce but no chilies. We waited again for another 15 minutes. As another server pass by we inquired about the chilies. She finally brought them but at this point my boyfriend was tired of waiting and had already ate all his food. At no point did our server came to inquire how our meal was and how we were doing. I run a business and work with customers every day. I will request management re-trains all his staff so they can provide excellent service to everyone that walks in their doors. Customer service in this establishment is extremely unprofessional and rude.

Had 7 people in our party for lunch and they had no problem seating us right away. Our server was quick to take our order and remained attentive. We all got a variety of dishes and everyone was really happy with their selections. Vegetables and sushi were fresh. I really like their tempura sweet potato roll. A couple of people also got the bento boxes, and one person, the crazy noodles. None of us left anything on our plate.Parking can be a little difficult to find in this area at times. We work nearby, so were able to walk. They also have a few tables outside next to the canal.

I will preface this by saying my past experience at Blue Taleh was good. But my experience today was bad enough that I felt I needed to review it, and most likely will not frequent this restaurant anymore. My boyfriend and I arrived at 12:25 and sat at the bar. The restaurant was quiet with only one other person at the bar when we walked in. We ordered crab ragoons and two bento lunch boxes. My miso soup had no pieces of tofu in it, which isn’t a big deal but then our crab ragoons came out frozen in the center. We sent them back, the waitress didn’t apologize and brought them back out, this time overdone. We asked the waitress and she said she refried the same ones we had sent back. Our bento boxes didn’t come out until 1:10, at this point we have to put in more money for our parking meter and we are sitting at the bar hungry. Clearly we should have ordered alcoholic beverages.. to top off the whole experience, the waitress charged us for the crab ragoons we didn’t eat and didn’t check in with us about our experience. Very disappointed in our dining experience

Lovely al fresco dining by one of the Lowell canals. Pad Thai. Sushi. Wine. Good service too. Be sure to try Blue Taleh in summer, or on a warm spring or autumn day. There is nothing quite like enjoying sushi and wine outdoors beside a waterway. The restaurant is only a short walk from events at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium or plays at the Merrimack Repertory Theatre, so you can plan to dine at Blue Taleh before or after your show. However - make a reservation well ahead of time if you want a table before a popular show!!

The staff is extremely rude. We were a party of five, ordered several appetizers, entrees, and drinks. They originally put us at a tiny four-top on the outside patio and pulled a 5th chair over to the corner of the table and told us that they couldnt push two tables together. This was at 4:30pm and nobody else was on the patio except for us. The menus for five of us didnt even fit on the table so we eventually got our server to push two of these small tables together for us which we were appreciative of.Immediately following paying our bill, we were asked if we were going to be there a while because they had someone waiting for the table. At this point, we had been there for a little over an hour which for five people having apps, dinner, and a casual outside dining experience is not overstaying our welcome. When we left, there were 3 other empty tables that they could have pushed together if another large party was waiting. Which I find interesting to begin with considering we had to beg to put tables together when we got there? We are a group of co-workers who traveled into the area from different parts of the country and dont get to see each other often so we stayed for about 20 minutes after we were essentially asked to leave and then got dirty looks from the girl hostessing every time she sat another table or made a pass thru the area.Food is mediocre, customer service is terrible, two of the five of us are local the area and we definitely wont be going back or recommending anyone we know to go there.

A few friends and I stumbled into this bar after a show at the Merrimack Repertory Theatre. We were hoping for a few after dinner cocktails, and Talehs delivered, and with the fanfare of a few hysterical servers. The vibe was relaxed (we sat outside, right next to the water), the roving accordion player was great (in an old-timey movie sort of way), and the drinks were exactly what we wanted. AWFUL food and services. I wish I can give it no stars. I worked at a Japanese Restaurants for 3 years so I know what is fresh fish and what is sushi that has been sitting in the refrigerator for a long time. For the price that was charged, I was expecting at least a decent quality of sushi, but unfortunately, the sashimi we got was simply inedible and awful. When we brought this to the waitress attention, asking her to maybe swap it out and give us something else, she said no. When we ask for the manager, the manager starts the conversation by bringing in the sushi chef and stated that the sushi chef have 15 years of experience and that I only have three, so I am a liar. it was unbelievable the attitude they show to the customers. You can say I will never go back to this place. And I highly advise anyone to not go to this place.
