The lake is awesome, however I wouldnt recommend coming here unless you have a boat or are going camping. Day use is pretty unaccessible due to the inclines, camping area does have a nice beach to swim at

Very strict, if theres any sign of water in your boat or dampness you will not be allowed to put your boat in the water. No ice chest with any water in it, nothing in your boat that can hold water. No damp ropes or lines or life jackets. This is all required to prevent the spread of invasive species, in this case a mussel. Check with them before you go out there and know the rules. Weve been turned away before and theres no place close to go to from there after you bought bait and spent money for fuel and everything else. The fishing in the morning hours and in the evening hours is awesome. Midday is slow for bites. Places pretty rustic not many services except for restrooms. No fish cleaning station or anything like that. This is a drinking water reservoir. No two stroke engines of any kind. Do not throw anything in the water cuz theyre watching and you will be asked to leave immediately. Rangers dont kid around when it comes to that. So if you are Avid fisherman who can respect the rules, and you have a four stroke engine on your boat then this is a place for you. Quiet, serene, beautiful, the Rangers keep it that way and so should we so should you. The Rangers are very nice are very professional, but they have a job to do to preserve this beautiful Lake, so like I said they are strict very strict, know that

Great place to camp or fish from a boat. To many trees and bushes to fish from the shore unless you are skilled at casting.

Old fashioned campgrounds. Not much amenities. Portable outhouses and a place to was your hands

Very cool hidden gem for slow boating, swimming, camping and fishing. Not a good place for running, biking, hikes or dog walks, though.
