During that time, Id go jogging at the park on weekend morning, sometimes afternoon. Sometimes i just hiked around the park. On weekends, if the weather was nice, you always saw lots of people hanging there engaging in different activities. For some time, I got into this roller skating group that would roller skate there every Sunday. It was a lot of fun.

Kudos to its founders, thanks for this beautiful park.

ATTENTION!!! Several cars that were parked along the street had windows smashed and luggage stolen. There also are homeless people along some of the trails. However, the park itself is very beautiful with many different kinds of plants and attractions. If you go, hide your valuables just in case (bring them with you physically if you can). Tinted windows are a plus too. Avoid leaving bags in the car since a backpack was stolen from the car right behind ours.

I rode there on my bike to play my guitar. A beautiful park with a skate ramp, a play ground and lots of small spaces to occupy and bath in nature.

Skate boarders paradise. Not as big as MacArthur Park but a nice little place to sit and rest.

Not sure what this is suppose to be, it seems like small park but I see students leaving trash everywhere.Wouldnt recommend it

Most of the park is under construction, and a few places to enjoy, the childrens area is a little bit smaller than other parks.

Great for basket ball, great for soccer, great Summer programs for children. Gangs moved out from the area or under control by roaming police. Downfall...Pot smokers showing no respect for those who dont smoke in and around play areas.

Very large city park. Basketball courts, small concrete skate park, many picnic tables. Located next to a small community library that offers computer use. The park is frequently inhabited by urban campers, the non-European, local druggie types. The outhouses are disturbingly disgusting. Watch out for drug needles.

Lafayette Recreation is a good place kids go there to play basketball and have different events people come to have church services and feed the homeless people there they help out the homeless people and Families they have outside events basketball courses swings playground for kids so Lafayette Lafayette Recreation is a good place for people and family as you go to have fun people there to please a very nice and they still respect even to the kids and your thoughts thank you

Crowded with homeless people. Latino town, no offense- just observing. Need some tlc. A lot of rubbish.

Seems mostly post school kid oriented, pleasant to stroll through, drainage problems. I am curious about the shipping container building that is under construction there.

Not enough police activity a lot of gang activity even though they dont bother you but still a lot of stuff going on around the park and its not that clean

Great place have been going to this park for so many years.

Lafayette is a very beautiful place to visit. The outdoor basketball courts bring the best of all cultures. Children from 8 and up are always playing there due to the safety of the park.

The parking situation here is awful. We go for a basketball league and it is really difficult to find parking. The indoor basketball gym is really nice though.

2 Full outdoor basketball courts. Current one full court with good rims and paint and one full court with no net and broken backboard.

Big recreation center just off of Wilshire. The center has a soccer pitch, basketball courts and a playground with two separate sections. Theres plenty of tables and even some bleachers for the courts.
