Its the same like as you go in the morning/afternoon but Made for people 21+ and up since they serve alcohols. Dont have to worry about kids and family crowdedness. So its cool that you can drink alcohol while browsing the place but there are certain areas that they dont allow drinks.
Its a free look back into the history of the LA area and the stage coaches that helped it grow. Take the time to visit for an hour or so and youre sure to find something that will fascinate you. Today we had a great experience talking to the young man working there, he was very helpful answering our questions and discussing things with us.
It was really nice to explore this place without all the families and little children, and tickets were only $15 compared to the usual $35! I got there later at 8 (still pretty crowded) and the planetarium tickets were all out, and the rain forest was closed (last entry at 7:45 pm). But there was lots of things to look at for the 2 hours until closing! Literally everyone here was on a date...and I was there with my mom lol, so we also people watched and tried to guess which date they were on. The digital interactive were really cool, especially the one where you pretend to be a flying dinosaur! Its a smaller museum...just dont compare it to the Smithsonians!
Exceeded expectations and you cant beat the price... $0.00.There were some very cool old photos, maps, and antique equipment - artifacts of the emerging West Coast. Also, since a line of credit from Wells Fargo Bank helped Atari launch its ventures, theres even a vintage Pong machine you can play branded with Sears placards on the controllers.Theres a movie in the back that constantly loops thats worth checking out. It goes over the early history of company coinciding with the Gold Rush as well as its evolution leading up to today.Theyre only open bankers hours (as you would expect), except for one Saturday every quarter. Check website for those Saturday dates.-Hutch
Very nice experience ;) Definitely check it out if you are in the area. You get to know more about how mail, goods and people were transported across the continental US back in the day.
Most underrated and unheard of museum in L.A. Also, its free. Great place to charge your phone between museums and to learn a little bit about the history of banking and American currency. If you know your history and have previously read the wikipedia page for Wells Fargo, feel free to skip the movie, but the stuff on display is well worth your time.
Trevor was a wonderful docent. He provided many explanations and examples during our visit. As of now it is very difficult to find the entrance because of construction in the plaza. I do recommend that you do stop by being that it is free and right near The Broad and other pay Museums in downtown LA.
Well... This is how the bank got started.... And there are other wells Fargo museums... Google it? Oh this is in la city... Ok? I didnt see any car parking NEARBY? Give yourself time to get there. But the museum was great!
Worth a visit if youre around. Fun. But just dont go out of your way for it. They have a small pony ride actually for free that youll have to pay 25 cents at the mall. Great for the kids
Fun free little exhibit. If youre in the area anyway looking for something interesting to kill some time it is perfect. Not necessarily worth going out of your way for, since its small, but worth popping in if youve waiting for your show or your time to get into the broad for example.
Very cool and historical place. Nice guides
When they opened two separate checking accounts in my name without my authorization, I realize this is not the museum for me. Im pretty sure Im probably going to get about $5 out of the class action lawsuit. I love capitalism!!!
Great fun for the whole family. This museum offers not only Wells Fargo history but California history as well. The museum provides activities for children in the areas of math and language arts; to keep them learning and learning and providing you with time to explore the museum. The museum is relatively small; at most, you will spend an hour.Admission: Free
Quaint. Frankly it was fun and unique but it does not compensate for the lack and cost of parking. There are some great pieces that regards Wells Fargo and the west but nothing different or unique than you wpuld have seen at the Autry or other Western History museums.
This place is a meh for little kids it is pretty boring except when you ride the little toy machine which you can only ride for 1 minute. So this place is a meh for me.
So much to see and yet easy of the traveler. There are many restaurants snack areas and seats to rest at and the organization of the museum I excellent. There are many visionary exhibits as well as tradition permanent collection.
One of the best western museums in the world. Historic artifacts such as picks and shovels that were used in gold mines and stagecoach that transported gold and people. This is a must see.
Lots of great history of a great American bank!
Although every time I have been in this bank, Bonnie Flores has been AWESOME, I have to give the branch an overall 0 retaining, for a poor experience. Every time Ive dealt with the branch manager, he has been condescending and rude. One day I arrived at the bank, which is near my home, b/c I was not able to go to my office. I was in need of a temporary check and his response was normally, our business clients remember their check books.
A good summary of banking and community history through Americas westward expansion.
Interesting museum about the history of banking. Worth a visit to kill half an hour
Great just kinda small
No chargeHands on exhibitsNot crowded unless there is a school group.California and SoCal historyKept cleanGhetty sets the bar for 5 stars.Check it out if your in the area.
Very cool exhibit! Small, but enough for one to see and imagine themselves riding in one of those carriages or sending packages...the dust, the long and probably immensely uncomfortable journey.
Worth a visit to kill half an hour
History of westward migration as bank propaganda. Saving graces include birds eye prints of LA from the late 1800s, Wells Fargo-branded coloring books and a working Super Pong IV.
Wells Fargo fees!
Very Nice
Security is tight!
Good for kids to learn the history of Wells Fargo!
