Great selection! Good people! They are very knowledgeable and honest about their opinions. Theyll give it to you straight. Bought a bunch of stuff there, especially cases of ammo. Theyre always helpful with PPT, even when theyre busy with potential customers. Theyve help me out a handful of time in the past, when Jackson arms turn me down.
My first time w my bf was awesome!!! coming back for sure. One of their employees Steven GREAT customer service
I have bought a couple of pistols and a long gun from these folks. I go in now and then and buy something else. Service has always been excellent. Prices are fair in my opinion. Not high. Not sure what the bad reviews are really about. Not to sound whiney but complaining because the store is busy is pretty petty.
Were from England so wanted to try a wide selection of guns unavailable at home and LA Gun Club didnt disappoint. The Rangemasters were absolutely fantastic, with their guidance, advice and expertise. Really friendly atmosphere. Put us totally at ease.It was a definite highlight of our holiday and I would absolutely, 100% recommend. Thanks guys :)
Fast service. Over 100 guns to rent from 5 to 20 bucks. Take your own gun, gun was check for safety. No paper work check. No lane charge or timing as long as you keep buying ammo. Range is not that deep but good enough. Free ear protection and free rental of safety glasses. Parking is not huge but there is a 3 dollar parking place right next to gun club.
This place is really good, Mario was guiding me and my friend about every weapon we showed interest in and did it in a very professional way. He gave us a lot of information about the other weapons, ammunition and basically whatever that was in the store as well and you could tell that he is very thrilled with his job. The prices are good and the selection is very wide. It was very fun as well, we were there for more than 3 hours without even feel it. Recommended!
Terrifying fun. For a non-US citizen the idea of being near a gun, let alone being handed it and ammo with no restraints, with maybe a minute’s operational training, and trusted to toddle off and shoot it down the range was very surreal. Definitely put in the ear plugs AND the ear defenders. I was jumping a mile every time our range neighbours fired their giant assault rifle. Great staff, very enthusiastic and clearly used to dealing with people amused/spun out by merely holding a real gun.
I cant tell how much I appreciated my experience and how satisfied I am ! Mario, the guy that received us, was one of the nicest person Ive ever met and we had a lot of fun talking and learning from him. He was very very friendly and authentic and him and the gun experience totally made our day ! He felt more like a friend than a seller and we could chose any weapon available to take pictures or make ourselves a feeling in the hands with it and in any situation, he very helped us out and really wanted us to feel that exceptional and unforgettable moment. For a first time, it couldnt have been better ! And the prices, really good for what Ive heard and could compared to. Totally worth it ! Thanks again Mario and Los Angeles Gun Club, I wont forget ;)
Los Angeles Gun Club is a neat little range tucked away in an alleyway from the Main Street. They have a fairly large selection of pistols, rifles, and more. However, the range itself is crowded and very short making it almost not worth it to rent anything more than a pistol. The equipment is pretty basic but gets the job done.
Great place to shoot! Take your date here for a more adventurous memories! They prioritize 100% safety first thats why they wont let you bring your own bullets.
Great first experience at a shooting range. The staff were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
I came with my brother for his first time shooting. We were greeted by Mario who gladly helped him out with learning to handle a weapon safely. He took his time and was patient. He let my brother handle various rifles to see which he feels the most comfortable with. He had an amazing time and even joked with us with French words, when I was translating some things to my brother. In overall, if you come down here as a beginner, you will be incredibly happy with the experience, much cheaper than shooting in Las Vegas too ! I’d ask for Mario, he taught my brother that even if he is right handed, that his dominant eye makes it so he shouts with his left. Thanks again to L.A Gun Club !
Helpful, knowledgeable counter staff. Good selection of rental handguns. No attitude to beginners. Rangemaster will spend time with you if you need it. Range fees are a little high, but worth it. If you are renting, they will charge you $6 for each gun you try, rather than a flat fee with free exchanges as at LAX range. Security is a little laxer than at other local ranges. Rifle shooting is allowed, but the range is too short for anything but making sure your rifle works. Great central location. Dont park at the pay lot you see on the way in.
Really enjoyed this place, I recommend going here at least once. It is expensive but not every day you get to shoot a gun.
The price is not expensive, three people are 110 dollars. Contains 2 guns, an AK, a pistol.
Great experience, great service! Mario is the best staff of the world ! So helpful and patient and so much knowledge !! He truly made this experience one of the best of my life ! 10/10 would recommend !! THANKS AGAIN MARIO I WILL TELL EVERYBODY TO GO HEREInstagram : @TonyRyad
Had a great time with my wife here
You can show anything weapons you like excellent
My fav shooting range so far..great prices. I went last Sunday to celebrate my birthday and had a ball
Great place for first timers and really friendly staff!
Nice. but didnt got to shoot, cuz i was alone
Been coming here for years, great spot, firme staff and its just down the street from the hood
Visited LA from Germany and went here shooting a gun for the first time in my life. You can choose form a handgun to a machine gun to rent and shoot.Mario the range instructor was super nice, funny and helpful. I had a lot of fun and would definitely come back again!
Nice place. Reasonable clean and ok friendly.
Ive shot here a few times and its always a good time! Its a great way to relieve some stress. Pieces are super reasonable. A big selection of guns too. I usually go with a hand gun, glock or smith and Wesson. They also offer lessons if you have never shot before.
Great Staff! Great prices! Range master are very professional and helpful! Will come many times
Visit every time Im in the US. Highly recommend
Fun. Not really sure what to really say about a gun place. The place can get crowded pretty quickly and they have a wide range of weaponry. I would recommend bringing a set of earplugs to put in. The sound gets pretty loud even with headphones.
At first I was trying to visit a local shooting range but they only seem to have hand pistols and shotguns. When I called the place they actually had an AK-47 and other semi-auto rifles. I ended up renting an AR-10 & AK-47 40 bullets for each gun and had a blast with my gf.
Awesome place! They have free parking round the back so dont be fooled by the public parking spot on the main road. Extremely friendly and helpful staff! My girlfriends first time around guns and she was petrified, they were so friendly and professional she was comfortable enough to shoot off an AR15 and an AK by the end of the day!Price is at average point, but they have a great selection and its all round good fun!PS highly recommend shooting the Draco. Easily one of the funnest thing Ive done in a long time!
Great experience! Super easy, great explanation to my daughter who never fired a gun before. 1 thing away from a 5 star recommendation is that being on the range some other people moved a loaded gun from one lane to another and the staff did not notice. Specially since it is a tourist place this has to be covered. Took care of it myself, loved the place and will be back again.
Good staff, Good range and alot of great guns to shoot. Also a good place to go if you have a permit to go qualify. Good prices for range.
Love the 2nd amendment and will always support that, however, I’ve been to many ranges and every time I come here I do not feel safe at all. Overall the place feels extremely dirty and I’m constantly getting guns pointed at me/flagged from people standing in the lanes next to me and taking pictures. This place is 20 minutes from my house but I would rather drive over an hour to the next nearest range that has twice as many customers because they have much better RSO (Range safety officers) and are not afraid to call someone out when they aren’t following the rules. If you don’t own any firearms and you’re trying to learn this will help you get your feet wet. If you can though I highly recommend finding some friends that own a firearm and making the drive to a different range you’ll have a much better experience overall.
Went shooting here for the first time. A while new level of experience. They have one loads of gun options to choose from.I tried AK47, double Barrell shot gun and a pistol. The staff knows a lot and they teach you enough to get started off right away.
Great place to try alot of different guns before you buy one from a store
I visit America periodically and I always go shooting when I’m in town, I’ve gone to a few different shooting ranges over the years and this one was a a great one. Perfect to waste a couple hours shooting guns. Huge selection of guns and great employees to help out with anything.
Get some! Staff very nice and eager to show first time shooters how to use the firearms. Took the wife there. It has definitely spiced up my love life. Im her baddy man
Best shooting range in Los Angeles. Beats LAX Firing range by a long shot.More knowledgeable and friendly staff. Male and female staff presence. More guns available to shoot. Larger area to shoot and less crowded. Prices are slightly cheaper.Cool thing is you can shoot any California compliant firearm at this range, and on certain days you can bring your own ammo (any grain) and shoot all you want. They still have semi-automatic rifles available for rent.
Always fun!
Great place for a first timer. Youll want to double up an ear protection (ear plugs and the over ear muffs) as its an indoor range. Staff is friendly, and the range masters are amazingly good at their jobs, quickly solving issues and being friendly and reassuring in the process. Youll spend a bit more than you think (2 people, 2 rifles and 2 boxes of ammo ran me about $115) but its super worth it. Probably more worth it if you bring your own firearm.
First time here and I thought it was ok. A little pricey in my opinion. The only thing I needed to purchase were three $0.45 paper targets (I have my own gun, ammo, eyes, and ears). I shot for exactly an hour, from 10 pm - 11 pm on a Thursday night. Somehow it ended up costing me $37.90. Plus $7 to park in the lot next to the business because their private lot was full.
Wauw, they explained everything very good. It was a great expirience for us. We want to do it again.
GO ONCE A WEEK COSTUMER SERVICE IS WONDERFUL
Great staff, I had no problems in our out, I thought the price was fair...me and a guest along with 3 ammo boxes came out to 80, Ill come back here again
So much fun, felt very safe and the guy helped us choose appropriate guns. Downside is wait time... we waited over an hour!
Love this place staff is friendly. Price is great store is kept clean. I parked on the wrong side the first time I got there and paid for parking one the staff saw this and said they had free parking in the back. Got $5 off my bill and a donut definitely recommend this place. Brought a couple of my buddies here and the gun rental price is great I will certainly be coming again thanks guys
If you consider yourself by any means to be a serious shooter, I want to greatly discouraging you from coming to this location. Most of the people that attend the LA Gun Club are amateurs with little to no experience when it comes to firearms. This makes for a location that is not completely safe. They do have a range master constantly walking around the shooting lanes, but from my personal experience he was a very obnoxious staff member. Secondly the rules of the range ridiculous. You have to purchase their ammunition if you plan on shooting rifle or shotgun, and they do not go easy on the prices. The range is Not state-of-the-art By Any Means. The barrier that blocks you from walking onto the range is a piece of plywood, which by the way is covered in signs of accidental discharges. The targets are not able to be measured in distance, it doesnt really seem like it would be necessary considering the range is around 16 yards total. The only reason why Im giving them one star besides for the fact that thats the lowest option, they DO have an amazing selection a Firearms to choose from, that is if youre willing to deal with all the other chaos. The people at the counter WHERE very nice to me however that doesnt change everything else. Again, this is all based on MY personal experience when I visited.
Me and my girlfriend were visiting from England and after driving over an hour to come to the range based off of reviews from here were refused entry on the basis that we smelt of marijuana despite neither of us having ever smoked it nor been around it at all. We explained that the smell couldn’t be either of us and must be someone else as there were multiple other people around us at this time and the range was busy but we were just spoken over and not listened to. We were then told not to argue and to leave, the brain dead staff member simply pointed at a sign that read we have the right to refuse service to anyone. If I could rate LA gun club 0 stars I would. Staff are the worst and I would avoid at all costs. If they don’t like the look of you they’ll find a reason to not let you use the range it would seem.
Super fun! We have never been to a shooting range before and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I can definitely recommend this place, we had such a fun time!
Came here more than a few times to shoot and its always been a pleasant experience. All the rangemasters there are knowlegable and will easily answer any questions, concerns, or problems you have whilst there. They give you a quick safety brief on each firearm before you use it on how to safely handle, load, and unload the weapon. After that theyll get you all squared away with ammo, targets, and anything else youd like to rent. They offer a HUGE selection of guns including shotguns, revolvers, handguns, bolt actions, some WWII era weapons, and more. The rifle rentals go for about I think $15 to $25 which is chump change compared to the boxes of ammo youll be buying which can run your bill up very quickly. I believe a box of 50 rounds is $25 but they vary by caliber. Handgun rental is on the little more cheaper side. Between me and my friend our bill came out to about $110 for the firearms, lane usage, targets, and ammo. Should also note that they have a parking lot in the back but its very limited as they share it with the next door business so you may have to look around a bit.
They are OPEN AGAIN!! As of 6/12/2020
Love this place me my brother and cousin rented out 6 guns 3 handguns and 3 rifles we bought ammo for each and wasted around 280 but belive me it was worth it
First time I had ever been to a range. I went during the week. It was empty and staff was very friendly and took the time to explain safety measures and range rules. Awesome place, highly recommend!
This was the first time that I was shooting a real gun and rifle. Everybody was very friendly and explained me the weapons in every detail. The price was from my point of view effortable, but not very cheap. I like that they take safety very serious. All operators had guns with quick-draw-holsters to prevent that somebody goes mad. One of the operators was also on the shooting range to help with the guns and had a look that all safety rules were followed. I really have respect for weapons and I love the way they take them serious as well. The only thing why I didnt gave 5 stars is because the weapons were not adjusted so that they shoot accurately. For the rifle I needed about 10 shots to adjust the telescope.
I went here thinking that this is a place where everyone can come and spend some good time but apparently it is only for people who are registered and have their own firearms. What is the point? Disappointing.
Ill preface this review with while I left a good review, the place isnt the best run range Ive been to. It does have its good points though. The majority of the patrons have never shot weapons before or they have not received very good weapons safety instruction. The range has a supervisor in the range area and does assist the rookies but there is to little range safety with so many beginners in my opinion. I brought my own weapons and was glad I did. Their rentals are quite worn out.The prices are reasonable and it could be a good place to begin shooting. The range safety officer is pretty laid back. But this could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. I would suggest you remain cognizant of your area of safety and keep the rookies in your vision. If you are new to shooting, the range safety supervisor will assist in some training and I found the one guy working with the girls next to us competent in his instruction. With better conditioned weapons, more safety guys in the range area with the same attitude and skills, and more lenient rules on taking out your own brass that you brought in new with you, this could be a really great place.I would consider visiting again but will remain very keen to who is on the range with me shooting.
Very, very nice experience yesterday at Los Angeles Gun Club. The staff was very nice, patient and even they teach us how to use a gun and a rifle without cost. For our first experience shooting I think this is one the best places to start handling a gun.Special thanks for our instructor (I dont remember his name), but he is a really cool guy.The shooting lane is great, not too much people, everybody was very professional and very responsible with the guns and safety.I will repeat for sure :)
Website states last call is at 10:30pm, we arrived at 10:25pm and we were turned away. The website ought to be accurately updated and the time posted on the site should be honored.Waste of time.
If your looking for a shooting range with a big selection of firearms and rifles, This is your place. Great customer service and friendly staff. Location is safe and clean. What else can you ask for :)
Don’t bother if your a tourist. They don’t really make an effort to be somewhat nice. Just one guy that helped my boyfriend and cousin.
Stop giving this place good scores. They are absolute thieves here. They charge northward of 5 times any other place around. Disastrous everything. They take advantage of tourists here so they charge an absurd amount of money. This place is an absolute garbage dump.
Great place, great staff and great price, this is a good idea for beginners and tourists.
The employees are helpful and knowledgeable of all guns here. Really helpful and fast working. I was able to get the gun I wanted to shoot and I always have a good time when I stop by. Check it out because I recommend it to everyone. You too ladies!
Drove an hour to get here, only to be refused entry because I smelled of alcohol. Which is impossible because I havent had a drink in weeks. I th8nk this place discriminates and uses smelling of alcohol or marijuana as a means of discrimination.
What a great bunch of people, really helpful, easy going and so so friendly. Couldnt ask for more
Just amazing!!! Thanks for all team staff perfect!!
Oddly thrilling. Informative. Not eager to repeat it though - expensive.
Amazing place very nice staff and organized. Lots of options at an affordable price.
Great place to shoot your own firearms or rentals. Staff is helpful the Range officers are helpful they make sure you and everyone else is following rules while having fun. Prices are ok some are a little pricey but its worth it if your having fun shooting with your Family . Parking is kind of a hassle. I will comeback at least 2 times per month from now on my new favorite place to shoot.
This place really sucks. Every expensive, they charge for everything. If you bring your own ammo they charge you for that. It’s 18 bucks for everything 30 minuets that’s really lame. It’s not a good range if you are trying to practice and improve your shooting skills. I definitely don’t recommend this place nor I will I come here again!!!! Horrible!!!!!!!
Amazing!!! It was my first time ever shooting a gun and the guy who helped us (Gigi) was very understanding and helpful with all my stupid newbie questions. He helped me feel comfortable and made my experience memorable. Im definitely going to certain back! This was the best Fathers Day gift!
I was there on a Saturday evening and it was really crowded. However, among the chaos, the staff was very helpful, patient and friendly. The range masters were very engaging and cordial as well. It was not smokey at all with excellent ventilation. If you bring your own gun, you cannot use remanufactured ammo. Its a bit pricey, but you cant beat the convenience and hours. Parking is free, but can be difficult on a Saturday evening. I saw 3 ladies park and walk elsewhere, as theres a restaurant nearby.
Was a very nice experience
Such a shame that I can only give it a 3 out of five just because of one extremely unfriendly staff, but other things are fine, huge selection of guns, reasonable price and nice range. One staff was extremely unfriendly. I went there with little experience with a firearm, so I had problem putting the bullets into the magazine, so I went to him for help, but he was very very impatient as if I has made a huge mistake. I dont think such a popular gun club should have someone like him working there.
I love buying stuff here in GTA 5. Very fast and convenient. Grenades come in handy but items here are a little pricey.
I took my wife to this location for our anniversary. Only to be highly disappointed, the place was a little busy.So we stood for a brief moment, and was instructed to fill out forms on a different table on the side. The forms were pretty short and simple. After we filled out the forms, We stood there waiting our turn in line and trying to choose our target. Once it was our turn, the same guy that instructed us to fill out the forms told us he wont be helping us because we smell like booze. He went on to state that he smelled it the moment we walked in. Keep in mind my wife nor I drink...We were turned away because of false accusations...bummer
Well worth it ! Prices to rent guns was very reasonable, very helpful staff, nice selection also ! 5 star service would only use this range when travelling to LA in my opinion it’s well worth it !
A famous place in los angeles, shooting range ! just be careful withe price ask them before !
Heres the thing. I had such a great time that I did, in my exuberance, give them a 5 star on Yelp. But, there are things that bother me. First off, they are really the nicest bunch of people youre going to meet on a gun range. That being said, the safety issues bother me. I saw people come in that had never fired a handgun...ten minutes later they were on the range trying to figure out how to load a magazine and rack a Glock. I left my station several times to help some young ladies next to me with jams and safety issues. At one point one turned the weapon sideways in my direction with a round in the chamber. I spent time giving gun safety to the girls while the range master ran back and forth. One. Only one was working the range. Saw so many gun safety violations. Maybe a quick safety course for newbies before you hand over a military grade weapon and 200 rounds of ammunition. I still like it very much.
Awesome fun place. Helpful staff.
The place is okay, but the staffs are rude. Went there with my family for our cousins birthday, one of us jokingly said we shouldnt shoot all the bullets because its kinda expensive, one of the staff out of nowhere, told us to go to that cheaper place somewhere since we cant afford this place. Very rude to my cousin so his dad told us to just leave that place. Very obnoxious staffs
Interesting range... Lots of novices, beginners, wives/girlfriends etc. I would have thought that the range officer would be more attentive with so many inexperienced shooters on the line but he seemed pretty laid back. A couple of times I had to alert him of folks in the lanes next to me doing things like not keeping muzzles downrange and rapid firing at targets. Also too bad there is no membership option. Prices are very good for lanes (dont know about rentals) and ammo seemed cheap, but none for carry out.
Not a place for those experienced with guns, this place is for the amateurs. No lead bullets, cant pick up brass, charge for bringing own ammo, expensive as hell. Go elsewhere, like angeles range where you can target 100- 600 yards downfield. Not 15 yards lol
Thee best place to release stress. Great staff always willing to help out. Very professional!!!!
Great customer service everyone was really chill. Highly recommend even for beginners, the staff will make sure you have a good time.
Very nice place! The employers are friendly and helpful. Also got nice guns there. Cheers from Brazil!
This place is alright. Its got its flaws here and there with staff being grouchy, but overall, its a good gun range.I like that they give newbies a primer on how to shoot and how to handle a gun. Most of the people that come here are first timers anyways. Their collection of guns is wide and varied, and theyre very good and making sure the maintenance on the weapons is nothing but top notch. However, this place gets packed, and it gets packed fast. Its a really popular range, but its not so much fun when you have to wait an hour for your turn. My recommendation is to come on a weekday and stay away on the weekends. It tends to get extremely busy on Friday and Saturday.I feel this place is overpriced. I think they could do better on pricing for gun and lane rentals.
Best experience from a gun range! Staff are extremely helpful and nice. Prices are okay and you get lots of freedom in the range. Will recommend!!!
They will rip you off with their prices like no tomorrow. Not to mention that they have been due for an upgrade since like the 90s. Terrible lighting. They are not friendly with you bringing your own ammo with a ridiculous policy for weekends. The place is packed with people. Honestly I been there twice and will never go back. Both times I left that range I felt that I paid so much more money than I got fun in return. I would highly suggest going elsewhere.
The main advantage of this place is its proximity to Central LA for those of us who live in the area. Unfortunately this is also somewhat of a disadvantage; this place draws TONS of foreign tourists visiting LA who are not allowed to own/shoot guns in their home countries. As a result the place becomes inundated with large groups of first time shooters who have had zero firearms training, are extremely careless, and are additionally distracted by their urges to take selfies etc. with their rental guns while on holiday. They just dont take the potential dangers of firearms seriously. The range officers do a pretty good job of monitoring the tourists but all they can do is react after someone is behaving stupidly, they cant prevent people from being stupid altogether. In addition to this, I had a disagreement with the staff at checkout about the flat rate (buying their ammo) vs. the hourly rate (bringing my own ammo) for shooting. The rates listed on the website are not definitive enough and this caused some conflict about the lane rate. Bottom line is that I dont feel safe shooting here and theres room for misinterpretation of their rates, which they use to their advantage. Of all the ranges Ive been to, Insight in Artesia is still the best for me on all points: price, staff, number of lanes, range length, and clientele. Insight is worth the drive from anywhere in So Cal so that you dont have to deal with nonsense that goes on at places like the LA Gun Club. Oh and I forgot to mention, LA parking? This place is no exception, the parking sucks.
We went here to celebrate my bfs little sisters bday. She just turned 12. They have a lot of options for guns and you are only allowed to use their bullets. You can bring your own gun if you have one. Its not a scary place to try and shoot guns. They have really good headsets!
