Im a history fan. A chance to see this historic studio complex is unequalled. Charlie Chaplin built it in 1917. A&M Records took it over in the mid-60s. Henson took it in the late 90s or 2000. Seeing Charlie Chaplins personal office was such a thrill. Very few tours are offered. Im one of the lucky ones!
This place was magical! So much history here. The perfect(and rightful) place for the Farscape 20th anniversary bash!
A beautiful lot with historic qualities. Lovely to see all the different people, business, and productions that co-exist here. Worth checking out if you get the chance.
The Charlie Chaplin prints are great and have me smiling. I just dont want to see a big frog on the top of a building. There should be a statue of Charlie Chaplin himself. Even if it is called The Jim Henson Studios. Even 2 statues with Charlie and Jim. Keep humanity alive please.
My brother loves the Muppets so we are going to the Muppets estudio 1 day
Dont know what it looks like inside but I live around the corner so I see the outside of the building every day. Very kool design and painting .
Puppet Up improv show was fun!
Tours allowed only with special permission, which we had through Adventures by Disney. Lots to experience inside.
Nice place to go on a short tour if you are interested in what goes on behind the scenes of the puppets and so on.
Ive been to nearly every studio in town and, while describing this as a studio lot is quite a liberal use of the word, its undoubtedly one of the most magical places in Hollywood. The Henson family made an excellent decision in purchasing the facility. The property is so delightfully quirky and charmingly strange that one half expects a muppet to come walking around every other corner. While its closed to the public, they do rent the place out for events and screenings and I would much rather spend an evening here than most other high end Hollywood destinations. Strangely, though you are surrounded by fiction, its one of the few places in the city that feels real.
Its an historic space with many delightful muppet trinkets.
A gem piece of history.
Bummer its private property
Parking is tricky and limited. Aside from that, really awesome venue
Cool place, just a lot of homeless sleeping in tents around the block
What a magical, fabulous place. They dont do public tours, but if you ever get a chance to go, you should absolutely take it. Its Muppetastic.
Wonderful movie lot if you can get a private tour
Historic Place: Charlie Chaplin StudiosBuilt 1917, it was once owned and used by silent film actor, director and legend, Sir Charles Chaplin for motion pictures until his permanent departure from America in 1952.Amazing just standing there where Chaplin once stood! You can find his footprints and autograph on the steps near the front gate.
Not open to the public, but you can take pictures outside.Very cool, historic lot. Formerly Charlie Chaplins studio, it is now occupied by the Jim Henson Company. The exterior is featured in The Muppets movie.
Never been there but I learned that USA for Africa used that place to record We Are The World. Really want a tour of Studio A.
Beautiful building and great gate but never open to the public
Horrible company. Leave the original labyrinth movie ALONE!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL HAVE A PETITION FOR THIS. THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THESE STUPID ACTORS OF TODAY SOCIETY CAN BE APART OF THIS FANTASTIC MOVIE FROM 1986. LET BOWIE REST IN PEACE. DO NOT REBOOT ALL HIS MOVIES IN TODAY ACTORS SOCIETY. THERES NO WAY. THE WORLD AINT DOING NOTHING LIKE THIS TO LEMMY FROM MOTORHEAD OR TO ALAN RICKMAN. SO LEAVE ALL BOWIE MOVIES ALONE!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE FANS WHO ARE PUSHED OFF ABOUT THIS.
So cool!
The ultimate recording studio. a great place to lay some tracks.
Saw Kermit while driving by. Stopped to look around and learned that its the former site for Charlie Chaplin. How cool.
Really cool place
I love the Muppets studios because it brings back so much history about the Muppets and Kermit and Jim Henson himself
Because the Muppets were my favorite show
I called my son, he states he walking out of studio after a long hard day ......all I can say is, WOW !!!!Love you Mike, rock on !
Beautiful event space! Amazing place for a party!
Went for the Puppet Up Show and loved it!
This place is not open to the public. They do not allow anybody to enter at all. They do not offer tours. Youre welcome to walk around the outside and take pictures though.
Very cool back lot!
I love viewing it. So lovely!
