I love mountain gate, its amazing, the view? Splendid. Anything else awesome, there are like 20 tennis courts! Its awesome! And after that, you could chill in the lounge, I love it, I used to take tennis lessons and OMG, I loved it, I improved so much in 4 years!!!!

This golf club is fantastic had a great day at the golf event hosted by tomchei.

I like this golf course. You get great views of the city. There is an ocean breeze which is fresh and crisp. Do bring a sweater. The course is more difficult than the average course. The greens are fast with less breaks than you think. It is a fun and challenging golf course. I would definitely play here again. The facility is good. There is ample parking.

Top notch golf course. In terms of quality and difficulty, its only rival is Riviera! The club does an amazing job at attracting young members and it is a great place for drinks and food!

Honestly, who cares about amenities or clubhouse or food (all of which are fine if not dated) when greens and fairways are in pristine condition.The greens are fast and true, fairways are narrowish and challenging. Good elevation changes, good views, great value.

I recently played as a guest and had a wonderful day of golf and the 19th hole afterwards. If I return to live in LA it will be top of interest to join. Currently under renovation or probably five star.

I have come here for property inspections a few times, homes are large and luxurious the crowd is semi nice its a gated community with wide roads

The best golf in the area. Planning on coming back again.

Easy parking on the street. A decent steep hill as the initial ascent. The rest is easy walking with unique views of the city. Not crowded when I went. I went Saturday afternoon. Closes at dusk but not a lot of enforcement.

If you are renting this space to hold an event, be prepared to be treated poorly.The lady at the front desk was in fact very nice, and even went out of her way to find my event coordinator, so kudos to her. Also, the wait staff was kind and let me borrow some of their small carts and such.The management was a completely different story. I was given specific instructions: unload at this time, start set up by that time. The setup schedule mandated by MountainGate was already twice as rushed as was realistic, but I stuck to the schedule.Then they started yelling at me for taking five feet of the grass next to the curb to put down my equipment prior to setup. Are they joking? There was no prior instruction not to do so. And if this instruction was in the name of staying out of the golfers way, these five feet of grass by the curb were not even remotely close to the putting green! Fine, so I waited until my allotted setup time before moving further into the green—again, as per my given instructions.Then the manager started to get really snarly. You cannot set up until I say you can. Oh really? So the instructions previously given to me were some sort of funny joke? I sat around and watched a literally empty lawn for 15 minutes out of my precious setup time, waiting for the instruction to proceed. It never came. Thats okay, I stopped caring by then. If you ever come back again, you have to do what I say. No worries. I definitely wont be coming back.

My sister in law had an absolutely gorgeous wedding here, it was so pretty and perfect. They staff were all nice and accommodating during our rehearsal and the day of. I wish I had my wedding here!

Beautiful views of over the city and surroundings farmlands

Great course to play, challenging in spots but fun for beginners. Staff here are very friendly and the breakfast burritos are tasty. Also very satisfying to watch the traffic on the 405 crawl along while you’re sipping a beer hitting a little white ball around!

The course is tough and well kept just beautiful, always a pleasure to spend some time.

There were absolutely no glitches or issues with the country club and your staff. From set up to tear down everything proceeded smoothly and efficiently. The terrace, especially at night, was absolutely magical and more than one guest commented that they felt they were experiencing a wedding celebration in the European countryside. I will happily recommend Mountain Gate Country Club and the staff to anyone who inquires and will voluntarily promote the venue at every opportunity.

Nice place for golf. Course is well kept and staff are exceptional. The clubhouse is FIRST CLASS. The shop is nice but need more selection.

Food nothing special. Service not very good, ok hillside course. Not enough shade. Surrounding hillside just a bunch of scrub brush. Course butts right up against housing development nearby. not a big fan of hillside courses. manager was very nice

One of the most crowded Country Clubs I have ever seen, but its only due to location. We are rather starved for golf on the west side. Decent course, not worth $138 to play, but well kept with good service.
