Amazing! Most intimate viewing of so so many mediums of original art. Our docent Brenda was so knowledgeable and passionate about the art, with a great sense of humor making the tour even more enjoyable. Seeing work by these artists that I’ve admired for so long, in a home setting was breathtaking! I recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Who knew? Right under your nose is a spectacular collection of modern art, all free to see. The Weisman home has been converted to a museum on a reservation only basis. Tour groups are small, maybe 15 people max, 2 tours a day, and only 5 days a week. Imagine being led by a docent through a collection of Picassos, Harings, Magritte, Lichtensteins, Hockneys, and much, much more. This is the kind of collection one would think to see at a major museum in NYC or London, but no, it is sitting right here under your nose. The tour is a bit short of 2 hours, but our docent, a young lady, could not have been more informative or delightful. There is no other way to say it - I was shocked at the depth of this collection. And mind you, only a portion was displayed.I suggest you stop reading and book a reservation now. You will be thanking me eternally for spending a fascinating few hours at the Weisman home.

This was the pinnacle of my recent LA experience. A collection any museum would be envious of. Make sure have reservations well in advance and do buy the book, it’s the best value imaginable. The presentation of the art in the Weisman’s on home is spectacular. If only Barnes had the ability to present as well as collect.

Amazing amount of super high quality art, and ridiculously cool home. Plus its free to go, just have to make reservations ahead of time.Only two complaints, both very minor1)parking is annoying (park in Westwood or on Beverly glen and take a $4 uber), and,2) literally its too much art to take in during just one visit.Ive visited twice, both times had really great tour guides. Be cool with them and theyll tell you some cool stories!Bottom line - if visiting (or live in) West LA, highly recommended that you make it by this very cool spot, just uber its way easier!

FABULOUS!!! The Weismans clearly established a modern art collection that is second to none, and their boundless generosity is self-evident, as the Frederick R. Weisman Foundation makes it possible for art lovers to see the collection in situ - in the home of the Weismans as they had lovingly lived with it, in Beverly Hills.Entry is confined to small groups of enthusiasts and require advance reservations. Extremely knowledgeable docents walk you from room to room, during which you will see in excess of 400 works of art from world renowned masters. If you love modern art, this is a most amazing 90 minutes that you should experience.

WOW!The Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation offers a unique experience to experience a world-class collection of 20th century fine artist in the warm, intimate and naturally-lit setting of a lovely Bel Air mansion. Its wonderful to see them in the kind of setting they were intended for, rather than in huge, cold galleries. The art is spectacular, and its curated, grouped and displayed in a sensitive and intelligent manner. There are first-rate works by Cezanne, Picasso, Giacometti, Noguchi, Calder, Frankenthaler, Rauschenberg, Still, Rothko, Warhol, and a number of delightful pieces by Oldenburg. You get up close and personal with the art--and learn about it from knowledgeable docents who bring it to life. They not only know about the art, but the artists, and are happy to answer questions as they guide you through the house and gardens with a group of about 12 people.Visiting the foundation is free (including parking, unlike the Getty!) You only need to make reservations by emailing the address on their website (the longer you plan ahead, the better).Mr. Weisman and his wife Billie Milam Weisman have given a rare and beautiful gift to art-lovers from Los Angeles and the world.
