A great mix of activities and ways to enjoy nature. Theres a paved trail that winds along the water; very scenic and accessible. There are also more challenging wooded trails. Marina, can boat or paddle. Batting cages, ball and soccer fields. Often see people playing cricket there on the weekends. Pavilions for rent. Cafe overlooking the water.

Nice park and can walk along water and joins to trails in ajoining park. Multilevel trails, not flat and paved and unpaved trails to enjoy.

The park has wonderful. trails and a large grassy area where people enjoy sitting on blankets or their own chair. Children and dogs can run and play. I believe there are picnic shelters that can be reserved. There are also ample parking areas.

DO NOT RENT A KAYAK FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!!! Super disappointed! I rented one kayak from here for an hour. The gave me flat oars, that didnt work. Everytime I tried to oar straight, it would take me to the left side slowly. Even when I tried to turn to the right to stop going left, it would still go to the left. Which was ridiculous. I brought my own kayak also, for my sister to use and she had no trouble with her oars because they were curved. She was able to go straight without any issues. Therefore, it was not the current nor the wind that caused the kayak to go to the left and turn in circles. It was the oars. And then the two teenagers working at the office said that I had to pay for the second hour even though the oars they gave me were useless!!!! I ended up kayaking for two hours because the kayak kept going in circles!!!!! I explained to both of the teenagers working there that the oars were not working and they wouldnt even give me a discount. They said they wouldnt give me a refund because they said the oars are fine. And they were not! I know how to kayak and it is because of those terrible oars I was stuck in the rocks and the sand. Which is absurd!!!!!!!!!!! I should be getting a refund for the terribly flat oars they gave me. Do not rent a kayak from here!!!!!!!

This is one of my favorite parks in VA. Its perfect for every occasion. Ive gone here to study on the weekends, taken the pups on countless walks and runs and hosted numerous sports events here for my grad school class. I absolutely love that theyve finished the river walk and opened the cafe. This park is true gem and I will always stop by when I come visit VA.

Best park ever. I will love if they can allow personal grill on it. Or add more grills not just in the reserve area.

NOVA parks site said fishing is available from the shoreline but this was clearly not the case when I discovered the shoreline is filled with heavy underwater shrubbery. This precludes anyone from casting a line cause the hooks get stuck. The only way I see fishing here is with kayak or boat. It would be great if NOVA parks cleaned up the shoreline. I ended up taking my kids back to our neighborhood pond for the morning.

Peaceful, scenic, ball fields, boating, fishing, and a beautiful new function room/restuarant make this a great spot on the river near DC.

Lovely, free park on the Occoquan River. We took our kayaks and paddled some of the river. There was a $5 per kayak launch fee but we felt it was very reasonably priced. Werent any available picnic tables on a Sunday but luckily we had taken our own small camp table. There are beautiful large group picnic shelters overlooking the river. Well definitely be back!

Great regional park with numerous amenities. The riverwalk is wonderful, albeit not a lot of shade, so bring your sunscreen. Lots of places to picnic and let kids and dogs run around. The boat ramp area can get very busy though. Would like to see more trashcans in general, as some folks leave their trash if somethings not readily available. We really love the Brickmakers Cafe as well.

Five stars even during quarantine! My family and I came out to occoquan regional Park over the weekend. The main gate was blocked to cars so one had to park on ox road and walk in. inside the park is well maintained and the paths are for the most part litter free. The signage is really good and this was an easy walk from the main road down to the Riverwalk with a toddler. Even though the brickmaster Cafe is closed as are most of the facilities, there is still a place where you could walk up to the waters edge. We saw lots of ducks and gosslings, which was exciting for the toddler. Due to the road closures, we werent getting almost run over by cyclists. Definitely a pedestrians paradise

We wanted to rent paddle boards and kayaks we asked how long is the wait they said I don’t know. We went to the office and they would only let people in one out of a time and the office is so small. We could not reserve it it is a first one there gets it. Poor renting system we waited a really long time and did not get them. You can’t even swim there but you can paddle board. They do not have a system they should have a better system. Who ever gets there should have a paddle board and should reserve it and there should be a time limit.

Trails need signs, and more woodsy trails.Outstanding cafe with good food, local craft beer (Fairwinds) and great prices.Lots of features for boaters. New buildings are attractive and pavilions look comfortable. The walking/biking paths are newly paved but there needs to be more signs than the one (!) by the cafe. For biking, the paths are a bit short. Theres a fine hiking trail through the woods but its not signed well at all: it should say 2 mile loop on both entrances. Theres lots of room so I hope they blaze more hiking trails through the woods, lots of potential. Oh yeah, $6 pulled pork fries are the bomb!

Occoquan Regional Park trails: Paved trail around a well cared for Occoquan Regional Park. Is it a nature hike? Nahh, not really....but it is a good easy walk that follows along the Occoquan river and very accessible. Dog friendly too. The loop I did was exactly two miles, so nice and easy to measure out distances for running or walks. Fair bit of highway noise, mostly shady; if you are just looking for a quick easy paved walk, this works well.

The new facilities are beautiful, the River center is absolutely gorgeous. We visit this park about three times a month. The boat ramp is small but nice, and stays busy. We have rented kayaks from this location, they also have paddle boards. It is right up the river from Old Town Occoquan, which makes for an easy and scenic paddle. There are a number of soccer fields and a softball field here as well. The pavilions are well-maintained and can be reserved for events. My children enjoy the trails up the hill from the event center for going on their nature walks.
