A great place to visit just off the Black River entrance. This light house is really magnificent to see in person. I highly recommend it to all who are interested.

Great views. The people who run the tours are VERY nice as well as knowledgeable. I just moved to the area and the tour told me ALOT about the area. If you are even slightly interested in history, I would recommend a visit here. Not only are the guides knowledgeable about the lighthouse itself, but they are about the area of Lorain as well. Thoroughly enjoyed myself amd so did my family.

I wasn’t able to get to the lighthouse, since the lake was frozen, but the photos are still nice. It’s best to visit in the spring.

I just wanted to thank the volunteers that arrived earlier than originally scheduled for our private tour. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and excited to talk about the history and future of the lighthouse. Our group had a great time and would highly recommend this tour to others.

Boat ride to lighthouse and the tour of the lighthouse was fabulous and very much worth the price! Will do it again.

While fishing within 50 of the lighthouse, you can see more detail than from afar. The historical lighthouse is a beauty. She battles the weather day in and day out, but still maintains her grace. This has been an icon for my family before I was born. Now that I no longer have my fishing partner, grandpa, it has more meaning everytime I go out. More than just a visible landmark for travelers of the lake for sure.

Delightful evening of making new friends, enjoying delicious dinner with perfect wine pairings, and learning fascinating history about Lorain Lighthouse. Our tour guide was outstanding and his passion for maintaining this Jewel of the Port was evident in the stories he told. Our trip was made absolutely perfect by our amazing boat captain, Susan Scott, who escorted us to and from the lighthouse. Add this one to your summer list of fun things to do!

Great photo opportunities and a gem of Lorain

It really makes the scene. Romantic, nostalgic, and historic. Its great to just relax on the pier with the lighthouse in the background. Or actually go to it and have a wedding, or take a tour.
