A few weeks ago I saw a construction crew along the side of Heartwell Park and I asked them what they were doing. They said they were installing 5g (Internet system). It appeared to be fiber optic cables being installed underground along the curb of the park. I just went 2 days ago and now there are large dead sections of the grass all over the park. 2 trees along the side of the LA river, closer to Clark St are dead and the grass alongside them is dead. The geese that were in the park are now gone, and I didnt see any squirrels there now. I found it hard to breathe as I walked. I believe this 5g system installed is causing health consequences to people, wildlife and plants. I can only imagine how much more might die in the future. This makes me super sad and Im worried for how this will impact the health of residents. Also, about 10 large trees were chopped down around Del Amo and Lakewood Blvd next to the mall, and more at Bellflower and Del Amo. Apparently trees block the signal of 5g, Ive learned from research. If you are a Lakewood resident please call or email your city officials and neighbors about this. This is not good.
Trashy fields. Low maintenance by City. Snack bar Ill equipped
We have had our boys play baseball during the fall ball season here, about to end another season. We have had a positive experience, coaches are nice. The one coach we have this year is very fair with playing all the players. They all take turns sitting on bench. Only thing I think they could improve is its a little dirty, overgrown weeds, holes in fields, it just doesnt look clean.
Outdated.. needs to be renovated.. cost too much money to join the league!
Highly organized and keeping it fun for kids
