This place is upscale, aesthetics much appreciated. For starters, I would recommend a taking her on a European flight, of reds and whites.

Popped in here after a meal from Roscoes. We thoroughly enjoyed the funky jazz music being played that night. Not sure how it is on other nights, but this band was killing it with some super sick jazz funk songs. As for the venue itself, its a lounge type of place which makes for a comfortable and easy place to kick back and soak in some awesome live jazz music.

Emma (the greeter at the door) and our server were AMAZING!!! They were a big part as to why we had such a great time. It was Couples Night Out for us and this venue was PERFECT!!! It was intimate but interactive. We had a blast!!

The jazz was awesome this last Saturday night, the crowd was lively and diverse. I highly recommend this place especially because there are 5-6 great restaurants within a block to choose from prior.

Its always A Super exciting Show when Don #1Bell. performs with his group the Bell Storm. All three players in the band are from Major R&B groups. Its like Being at a Earth Wind & Fire concert private, plus all the jams you would want to experience with your Mate or Friends. I work with the band so Im blown away everytime I work with Mike Rhoades. Keyboardist fitter the Delfonics. Yes indeed one of Detroits bigest keep secrets in Los Angeles. They All played with the best of the best, and thats why Im with them. & 5 other groups. Im having the Greatest times of my life Enjoying great music, as i should.

My review is based on 4 factors Price, Product, Location and Atmosphere. Roscoes Chicken and Waffles is a local experience that should not be missed. Prices are fair for the food that you get and the food is good. Certainly not 5-Star quality but thats not their goal. Providing good food at a fair price with no frills is what they cater to. Chicken and Waffles is a southern thing and if you like them both you will enjoy their food. The franchise has been visited by President Obama and he has his own item on the menu. The atmosphere is modest and the location is decent with parking across the street. The only downside to location is that it sits at the intersection of a 1 way street, but thats no reason not to drive around the block. This location has become our breakfast stop after our weekend run in Long Beach.

Incredible!I had been looking forward to finding a jazz/blues bar on my holidays, and when I saw the Seabird/Roscoes I thought we had to try it.. and we were not disappointed! We arrived by chance on Slims Blues night, and ended up staying for hours. It was a brilliant night of music, incredibly talented people, the crowd was friendly and whole atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Its a local bar, with a genuine feel to it, and I hope it stays this way for a long time.I wish I lived next door and could go back every day!Also the food next door in Roscoes is brilliant! Im a vegetarian but found there was plenty of sides options, and my friend had the traditional chicken and waffles and LOVED it.

Some of the greats come through the doors here. Music legend performing Jazz music. You never know who you might find. Cocktails are served and it has a real intimate atmosphere . If you get hungry, there is some good home cooking just across the way (same building) at Roscoes chicken and waffle. When I was there it was a special night and the music was some of the best Ive ever heard. Afterwards I went next door and ordered the chicken and waffle combo with greens too. When youre eating there is no talking because you just want to enjoy the delicious food.

First time here and it was really good. Will be coming back for more later this week.

Great place. Super cool vibe transports you from 115 desert heat into a cool dark wood paneled room with deep leather booths. Bartender was great, solid selection of drinks and beers and American Psycho playing on the TV. Ill be coming back again. I would work in this bar - hanging out, making awesome drinks, ice cold ac and killer movies playing all day? Whats not to like?

Finally trying Roscoes after all these years of anticipation. I ordered the Obama, a waffle with wings. The waffles were very ordinary. They were soft, fluffy, and light. I wish they had a bit of crispness to them.The chicken was very good. The batter was light and tasty, not greasy at all. They came out hot and delicious. Not impressed with the service, but if I lived near one, Id come often.

Words cannot even describe my love for this place. Its not only the food that gets you, but the warm loving environment that the staff provide to the customers. The owner is super friendly and they offer a military discount which was even better! I recommend getting the Obama Special and if you have the chance, the cornbread and mac and cheese. Its the type of food that will leave you happy and coming back for more.

The personnel is not as friendly as other restaurants are. They should at least bring the drinks before the food gets there & even when it does they take quite some time to bring them. A bit unorganized when it comes to their waiting and seating. The place has little pieces of trash on the floor. I understand they are busy, but their employees should make it a priority to make this restaurant look great at all times. I do love their chicken & waffles tho :)..I hope that with time all these cons get better.

When going to a restaurant with a food item in the name, I highly recommend ordering that item. The chicken and waffles were very tasty! I thought there would be more of a feel inside a Roscoes, but there is no ambiance at all. The stone fire place seems very out sorts, the 42 inch television above my head was repeating a home made PowerPoint presentation about Roscoes that didnt really work with the pink neon lights crown molding. You should only come to Roscoes for the food.

Overall I was a happy camper. I got the Obama special, 3 pieces of chicken and a waffle. The server was nice. She checked on us once. Before our order another waitress asked if I wanted an ice coffee and never came back. I wasnt too bummed but she forgot so that wasnt okay. Ive been to this location several time and never has any big issues unless its busy and have to wait a while.

The chicken here is nice and crispy and delicious! The waffles could be a little thicker and crisper. Theyre kind of soggy. Im not sure if its just me, but I like there to be a little crunch on the outside and a spongey soft inside.The mac n cheese is good. I want to try their potato salad, so Ill be going back to have some of that and Ive also heard their rice with gravy is good.This place is definitely a place to splurge, dont expect to keep a diet here. Its all salt, gravy, and syrup there. Its a homey vibe and expect anything to go down. Its in a busy part of Long Beach with interesting characters. Theres a bar connected to it... Last time I was there, it was 1:30am and some drunk ladies had a bit of a tiff outside. Theres security so I dont expect anything too crazy to go down there, but then again it was late and they ordered drinks with their meal.Parking is across the street. If you have a large party, they wont seat you until your whole party is there, just FYI.

Wonderful Jazzy nite cap to our earlier evening event...The saxophone artist truly unwind the tension I was having that evening...He put me in a very relax and mellow mood...The Electrice Lemonade drink also help...OVERALL the vibe was ...funky...energetic and downright jazzy....I enjoyed the entertainment...and will be returning....

Home of Roscoes Chicken and Waffles. Im at this location almost twice a month. Great food, good music, excellent service, a diversified crowd... and there the ONLY Roscoes that serves ALCOHOL. LOL Please dont drink and drive. Lots of parking right across the street. Open until about 2:30 on Fri/Sat. Love it!

My go to spot for chicken and waffles. I absolutely love the atmosphere of this Roscoes! Chicken is delicious and never dry. Service is always good. Wait times can sometimes reach 2 hours on busy weekend nights which can also make parking difficult. Otherwise parking is usually good, you can park in the lots across the street. The dont allow splitting checks but theyve done it if I do the math beforehand and ask nicely. Overall a positive experience here.

Fantastic waiter. The stars are mainly for him. The food was just okay. Didnt feel like it lived up to the hype.Parking there is very weird... They started using the lot across the street i guess.Nice family or large group place. Takeout seems to be a huge plus there.They also started doing cocktails if anyone was interested.

Took my staff (34) in for breakfast; Charmaine was so attentive, organized and entertaining; her friendly and welcoming personality made us feel right at home. She and the servers made our experience absolutely wonderful. Food was delicious (as always) and served in a timely manner. Thank you Charmaine, servers, cooks & host; we will be coming back!!!

You can not eat inside and enjoy the music, you have to eat your chicken and waffles in another area......other then that its pretty cool.

Greatest idea ever!! You cant go wrong with a little combo of chicken and waffles especially at roscoes . Not only was the chicken crispy it tastes amazing with the warm syrupy waffles. Cant wait until my next visit certainly would be fun experience again.

We got a table quickly. The food took quite a while to arrive, especially odd considering that we ordered some of the most basic things. The coating on the chicken was flavorless as if they had never considered adding in spices. The chicken also just tasted like cheap chicken. I cant think of any other way to describe it. The waffles were nothing special. When you put waffles in the name of your restaurant you should at least offer the ability to upgrade to real maple syrup.

Love the servers here, down to earth great staff. Always making sure you are treated well. Some of the jazz musicians Ive seen here have been amazing. Get the Cadillac margarita.

It is absolutely a shame that all the money this owner has he will not spend money to redecorate the Bar, the furniture is nasty as hell, Ive been there once and that is it, I say again the place is filthy.

One of the last jazz joints in the area, usually featuring five star musicians. The bar is a good place to sit while waiting for a table at the adjoining roscoes chicken and waffles. Roscoes will come for you in seabird and you can take your drinks across the foyer to the dining room. The place can get crowded and isnt always the friendliest, but it is safe with on-site security thats shared with roscoes. Free and ample parking is available and monitored. Recommended, especially weekends, but come early as the venue can fill up fast.

Awesome chicken, macaroni and cheese, and gravy covered rice can be discovered here....but it is not cheap, whatsoever. This place can break your bank with ease, very unexpectedly. They also always have numerous bouncers or something loitering around the front door. Maybe this place is more dangerous and unsafe than I had thought. Actually, I really hadnt thought about any security measures, especially when it came to a chicken eatery. However, maybe the bouncer over-population is due to the undisputed fact that the majority of the patrons/visitors to this place are black people.....and apparently, they have a tendency to wild out. Oh well, the food was still good, but again, the prices are steep. Maybe the regulars should stop wilding out, and the prices might decline........Maybe..

We waited an hour and a half, which we have done before for chicken and waffles... but this time we were a bit disappointed. At least now we know were not missing anything out in northern California. There are better places this way. But still worth a stop just to see it once, I suppose.
