Great place I had a sleeve tattoo done by Mikey the owner and artist. Mikey asked me what I wanted and I really wasn’t sure except that I wanted a two headed snake. He took it from there, on my next visit he showed me the artwork that he had designed and it was perfect. I could not be happier with the outcome. It’s a great shop! Everyone in there couldn’t have been nicer to me I felt like I was with good friends throughout the experience. Mikey was professional yet friendly and had nothing but my best interest throughout the process that took many visits. The day we finish I could not have been any happier or more satisfied with my body art! I’m now looking forward to expanding my new love for what can only be called True and Beautiful Art work on my arm and shoulder.

Mikey did a fabulous tattoo on my arm...hes a very nice Guy that cares about his customers..I love the bunny tattoo, it is so awesome...also it heals so fast...The studio is very clean and the people who work there are all very kind and it is a very great atmosphere.I would for sure come back and get another tattoo when I am back in Long Beach one day!Thank you Mikey!!!

I LOVED my expierence here. I came in for a cover up tattoo. I emailed them they set me up with a tattoo artist quick. From my consultation to setting up an appointment to getting my tattoo it was amazing. My tattoo artist was Don. He helped get rid of something I didnt like looking at anymore and made it into something beautiful. So professional, friendly made me feel comfortable. Zero judgment definitely coming back.

One of my go to spots. All the artists are well rounded, and they have one for each niche. Owen is great for large scale japanese style irezumi and Joy has very crisp/detailed line work. The shop is very laid back and has a great atmosphere. They make sure you feel right at home and satisfied with ever session.

Artist Jesse and support staff are intuitive with there clients needs. Not to mention, AWESOME ARTISTS

I don’t think I can say enough good things about this place. Joy did my tattoo and she was beyond amazing. I know that I was probably a super annoying customer because I’ve been having some anxiety problems, but she was literally the most accommodating and kind woman I’ve ever met. She did an amazing medusa tattoo on me that has quickly become my favorite part of my body! Joy was so light handed and my tattoo is beyond beautiful, I honestly cannot offer enough praise for how amazingly patient and genuinely caring she was. I have zero hesitation in recommending this place! I don’t think 5 stars are enough!

Awesome shop. Clean. Friendly Artists. I feel like theyre a step above your average tattoo shop. Lindsey Morehead did Ink for both my friend and I and she 100% captured both concepts perfectly. Free touch ups for up to one year. And theyre open on Mondays which was hard for us to find. I and my friend will both be going back this summer for more tattoos when I come to visit

Awesome shop where all the artists are super friendly and more than happy to work with you to help you get that perfect tattoo. The shop has a great vibe with pretty great music playing. I recommend this place hands down.

Felt like a garage and looked like on too. Dirty is one word that came to my mind, so we left and got ours done and place that was cleaner (IMO) and more professional.Edit: And I like the response from the owner, as if I mistook an empty space for a place were I spoke with people. Thanks for the laughs and patronizing. If you think this place is classy, then you and I live in completely different worlds. You can see in the pictures that are already posted that this place looks very lax, dirty and grimy.

The studio is extremely clean and the staff are really friendly. Im sure the day I went in to get my tattoo done was an off day for my artist, but my appointment got pushed back by an hour the day of, then I still had to wait almost a half hour to get started once I got there. I went in the week prior to discuss the three specific pieces I wanted done- one medium sized and two very small scripts. My artist completely forgot one of my pieces and I asked if it could be done and was told not that day because there was another appointment coming in right after me. So I ended up having to wait an hour and a half after my original appointment time, but was rushed out so the next client would start on time. I also had to pay the amount agreed on for all three pieces even though only two were done. Again, overall everyone was friendly, but I felt really insignificant and not a priority as a customer at all.

This studio has an amazing experience. From the decor, to the friendly staff, to the care they take in making sure you’ll love your tattoo. I love Joy’s style and cannot thank her enough for the gorgeous tattoo she gave me in memory of my father. It was easy and fun!

Great place and awesome people. All the artist here are friendly and very talented. Jesse who I follow on Instagram had an opening and some pre drawn designs ready. One caught my eye and I scheduled a walk-in. Hes very talented with a steady and smooth hand. Highly recommend. Im very satisfied with the design, service and time it took. Quoted the time exactly.

Justin and the whole team are super professional and amazing. You definitely get what you pay for which are tattoos that will stand up to time still looking gorgeous. On vacation from the East Coast and got an urge to get some ink. Sent an email to the shop and within an hour I had a response. Worked directly with owner Mikey sharing ideas and designs via email and made an appointment within 48hrs. Mikey opened up the shop early on a Saturday to accommodate my schedule and did an excellent job. Clean and professional shop that I highly recommend. I had the honor and privilege of being tattooed by the amazing and talented Joy Shannon. Joy is extremely kind and easy to work with. I hadnt had a tattoo in over ten years so I was a bit apprehensive to get in the chair again but it was such a positive experience. Joy worked with me to get my design just right and patiently answered all of my questions. The shop was clean and comfortable; the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Phenomenal experience all around!

This was my first time getting a tattoo and my girlfriends third (including a large back piece) and we both, very much recommend going to Paper Crane Studio. Jesse is a great artist with line work but he also has a tremendously light touch and comforting, real, personality. 10/10

Then come to paper crane, where you leave with more friends than you enter with, where the floor is clean enough to eat your dinner off of (trust me, i dropped mine, scopped it back up, and ate it), and where the boss treats his staff like family. Great experience every time i was there (all 5 times). Mikey, Joy, and Jackie are the people I interacted with the most and they are awesome!!

About a year tomorrow I got my first tattoo done by Kris, it was her amazing design that I adored so much and wanted it tattooed. She was super patient with me and very nice and chill. Paper Crane Studio has that homey but laid back feeling that it great, everyone is super professional and its a clean and small shop!

This place is great! Welcoming vibe. I went for my first tattoo on the Friday the 13th flash day. They had a great system and handled the crowd very well, communicated with everyone via instrgram beforehand suggesting what time to come and wait and rules and expectations. The owner, Mikey did my tattoo and was very sweet. And when he found out it was my first tattoo, he was even sweeter! Loved it, amazing artists, will be back!

Tattoo artists here are friendly and welcoming. The studio has a great art deco feel to it and the work done here is of the highest quality. 10/10 would recommend.

Awesome experience! Awesome Staff! I was recommended here by my girlfriend. Shes had plenty of work done here by Mikey the Owner and Artist of Paper Crane Studio. All it took was a simple phone call and he set up a consultation. He mentioned that my two pieces would take 4 hours but he was done in 3. The work he did on my arms are INCREDIBLE!! His fellow staff Artists do amazing work as well! I will definitely be coming back for my next tattoos. I stand loyal to Paper Crane Studio for their amazing creativity and incredible artistry.

Awesome tattoo by an awesome artist! Not to long ago, I took a picture of my grandmother into Paper Crane Studio and wanted her portrait tattooed on me. Mikey was very helpful and eager to do her portrait. After our consultation and listening to his ideas about the tattoo, I felt completely comfortable and knew he was going to do a killer tattoo. My grandmothers portrait is a tattoo I get daily compliments about. I could not of ask for a better tattoo. I will definitely be coming back to Paper Crane Studio for my next tattoo.
