I bought tickets on Groupon this place is not the biggest just make sure you dont rush it walk through it makes it last longer at least to me it did take your time skimping through a lot of interesting fishes my daughter and I had a blast !

I have to confess, I am Aquarium spoiled. Atlanta, New Orleans, Long Beach- all first rate experiences. This just felt, well, a little inferior. Old. Dated. Tired. Dark.

My go to fish store. Better than those big name stores. Very knowledgeable about aquariums so you can ask them everything you need to know to keep yours going and avoid sudden deaths in fishes. Always recommend them even if there are shops closer to us.

The smell was beyond anything Id ever encountered in a fish store. No idea what it was but it was a horrific stench. I had thought the front door was always open to be inviting. I now think not.

I love this place, picked up some small discus here for 12 bucks thats an amazing deal.So far they are doing great in my tank.Anyway,great customer service and amazing deals I recommend all tropical fish keepers to get there fish at Anthonys Aquariums.

The gentleman that assisted me was polite, but did not seem overly helpful or offer explanations as to his answers. I needed information and was offered bare minimum. I would not return if he was there since I went to another local shop and got supremely better service and all the information I needed. Would not recommend, sorry.

Great little fish store . Fairly cheaper then other stores

I brought my daughter here to get her very first fish. I was thinking something cool like a hammerhead shark, barracuda or a pack of man eating piranhas. Anthony himself squared us away and set us up with everything we needed to take of the newest member of our family. We now have a beta fish called Wanda. Anthony told us betta fish are fighters so I feel comfortable with the house being protected. I initially wanted a velociraptor to do that job but I was overruled by my daughter and we now have a puppy instead.

The store is quite small thus the fish selection is small as well but Anthony and his wife made a positive impression on me. I was interested in purchasing a flowerhorn and asked his wife if i could see a feeding to assess the overall health of the flowerhorn and she nicely agreed. My husband and I purchased the fish and took it home along with feeder guppies and some pellets. The day of purchase and the day after my flowerhorn did not want to eat the feeder guppies or pellets I had purchased for it. I called the store, spoke to Anthonys wife about the concerns I had for the fish and possibly returning the fish. She connected me with Anthony as she said he handles the exchanges/returns and he was very nice to me. He listened to my concerns, let me know how long he had the flowerhorn in his shop for, what they were feeding, and suggested to give the flowerhorn some time to settle. He assured me we had the 7 day guarantee and would be able to get another fish if my flowerhorn were to die (7 days for a local fish store is amazing! The fish store I usually go to only gives a 24 hour guarantee) and also offered a partial refund if I decided I wanted to return the fish. Wow was I amazed! Both Anthony and his wife were very kind and did not give me any attitude whatsoever. We decided to keep the flower horn and although he is shy, he is now eating his pellets, vibra bites, and freeze dried baby shrimp. Would definitely recommend this store

Excellent prices but very disrespectful. Feels its ok to bash exotic expo vendors . Or anyone independent of what he does. You can find the video of the verbal attack online. He is a nice person until he learns that you are a breeder or something of that nature.

With three stars I am being generous. The owners are not knowledgeable at all regarding care and compatibility so beware they will give bad advice to make a sale. The selection is tiny with mostly standard beginner fish. Saltwater selection is non-existent. There are much better run stores with better staff out there. Dont waste your time here.

Great small store, but awesome koi fish. I almost took all the fish. Spend almost $330.00 worth of koi fish my wife and kids loved it. Will check them out again next week.

This place has some pretty good prices, but the tanks are pretty lousy, and Ive heard some bad advice given by the employees. The conditions of the tanks and fish seem fine although more overstocked than the average fish store.A lot of the corals looked like they were bleaching out as well. I heard an employee suggest to someone that an African dwarf frog would be fine in a 2 gallon tank, which is way too small, and they were selling a betta fish in a tiny vase with no filter or heater as a complete set.They have a quite good selection of aquarium equipment though.

Friendly service and good tips to keep our fishes healthy.

Quality of fishes are not good. Most of them are sick and will die in few days. If u go back to return it they will take it back but wont give u any warranty for exchanged fish. In my case those fishes died within 15 days too while my other fishes were healthy. I will not be going there anymore. PetSmart have better fishes and customer service.

The owner is really helpful and knowledgeable. Nice guy too. Shop is really clean. Definitely recommend.

With so few aquarium supply stores in the South Bay, its​ great to have a place like this in Lomita. Its my go to place for water and freshwater fish. They have saltwater fish and supplies too. Knowledgeable and friendly staff!

The best in the area, the fish are priced great, Anthony has no problems answering any questions you may have. Family owned, I have no issues buying here.

Im not sure how this place gets 5 stars. Its super small with not much of a variety at all. The prices are cheap, but I saw some fish in questionable health.

Although a small shop, the tanks and fish are well taken care of and the staff is very knowledgeable about all things fresh water fish. Ive been looking for just such a store.

The guy that works here is very helpful answered all my questions i have to buy feeders daily and he is always well stocked with feeders. Excellent customer service new store very knowledgeable

I have been here twice. First experience was ok. On my second visit, I was acknowledged when I got there. I asked for a price on a fish. I was passive aggressively brushed off with the comment the price is on the glass. Correct there are prices on the glass, but the fish I asked about wasnt listed on the glass. If it was, why would I ask. The fish was a bit over priced, given that a few fish stores have the fire gobys for 4 dollars less, and they dont charge tax. Its ok though, we have to pay taxes. I tried telling him about what happened to the fish I bought my first visit and my conversation was not acknowledged. Anthony does not know his prices, so he has to ask Liz. I bought a snail priced at $4. She made careless comment like 3 bucks is fine. That one just goes and the sand anyway. I tried to ignore it and say thank you. She didnt even acknowledge my thank you, closed the door, and went in the room they have behind the register. I would give them 1 star but my experience the first time was a 3 star experience, so Ill compromise and give them two stars. I would not shop here again. Theres more to customer service than a hello, can I help you, and a goodbye.

I think it takes alot of passion to open up an aquarium shop. Im always going to support the small business because in reality they are our businesses. Too many aquarium shops have disappeared from our community, because of people writing cursing reviews and not supporting. Im not affiliated with Anthonys Aquarium in any way, but i support their mission.My experiance is most of the time these small shops can get you what you want if you just ask them.Their niche seems to be planted tanks, which are down right beautiful.
