It was fascinating. Theres all manners of different kinds of abstract art and each has a small descriptor about the artist and what their painting was intended to mean. Its very fascinating. Theres also interactive exhibits and some that are mixed with electronics to create a unique experience. Plus its free and the staff are very polite and knowledgeable. I learned a lot from this and would gladly come again.

Too much propaganda. Cant art just be art?

Really beautiful art that connects to some really cool times in history. My favorite part was the section that had lots of pictures of the Dougway Proving grounds. Really interesting, but make sure you read the description before you walk through it so you can understand the pictures.

The bus comes by here a lot. So Ill stop to get some fresh air on my eye. The work is very derivative and dated. I was not inspired. I think Ill stick to religion and leave this art stuff to people who dont ever dance. Come see me for some hair-free lemon custard at the creamery. Ill give you a discount if you say RTM Out. RTM Out.

Nice place to hold an after graduation reception. Nothing too fancy. On the smaller side, but still, a good time was had by all. Parking falls short, but which university does not have that issue at graduation? Not too hard to find. Continued road improvements needed to help with egress.

The upper floor of the museum rotates at works on a reasonable basis, so check back often. They include an assortment of well known and lesser known artists and a wide assortment of styles and mediums.

The Eccles Museum of Art has a superb permanent collection that they regularly draw on to give resonance to the traveling shows that regularly grace the several galleries in their lovely building. They have real courage--not that the shows are rude or vulgar, but that they stand for principles that are important, both to the world of art and to the world we live in. For those who must travel, the local landscape, the city of Logan, and the University campus all offer wonderful landscapes of relatively unspoiled Utah mountains and valleys, in which are located some of the loveliest remaining old buildings. I look at art a lot, and have my favorite galleries throughout the Utah, from St. George north. When I first visited the Eccles, it immediately shot to the top of my list.

My experience was not pleasant here. The staff was very disrespectful to us as we were trying to look at the art, which I was also not impressed by. The staff wouldve done a better job if the just kept quiet, as when the spoke it was an unfriendly tone and several times words that showed they didnt want us there bothering them.
